When Kevin Flynn stepped on the field, at first I thought, "Hey, why is it that only now the good guys start getting any kills?" And then it hit me. Kevin Flynn created the Grid, and as such, everyone on the Grid. Every person in that club, good or evil, was created by his genius. It's literally like having God at a bar fight, it's the biggest morale boost physically possible. No training, armor and weaponry could top inspiration of that magnitude.
