I am gutted. I knew Jackie in the days of Doll by Doll and last saw him perform at the Komedia Brighton last year. We had a drink and talked of Bristol Garden days. Bye bye Jackie. The world was a better place for having you. I hope they have guitars in that good place where you now are. R.I.P
im not allowed alchahol due to a blood illness but raised a glass to jackie last night lets face it he worked his butt off touring recording for us lucky few who loved his music and will now become a legend you have never lived a love song if it wasnt a leven song he is with his family now and singing with christie hennasy and amy winehouse god bless x
It's been a pleasure knowing & listening to your music Jackie. Too many favorites to mention. "Young Man's Suicide" was an early favorite. You were that rare artist who released albums with no filler. RIP
discovered on Pride and Passion a very long time ago, followed Jackie ever since. Had the privilege of giving him a lift to the train station after a gig in Derby a couple of years ago - felt very honoured. Will be very much missed - God bless xxx
This was the first song I ever heard by Jackie Leven and it's probably my favourite by him. I first came across it on a compilation CD called Pride And Passion.
Thats where i discovered it too. Its in a tape in my fathers car i bought for him about 15+ years ago. I was very young, i got it for him as a present(well my mother did ha). Pride and passion. Its still in the car but i have not heard this song in years and years. Love this tune! Finally found it, happy days:)
Heard it for the first time on a sampler called "celtic inspiration". Since then I am a big fan and I bought every album of Mr. Leven Mr. Lone and Mr. Balfour. Great man, great music.
Leider viel zu früh von uns gegangen - den 5 Abenden mit Dir sollten noch so viel mehr folgen!
R.I.P. and I'll never forget you - your music s still alive - forever ...

Shame on you Jools Holland. Home grown superstars get left by the wayside apparantly...
Cried like a baby for the fine man I loved. A legend left to discover for so many.
