Hey man, I have an HP Mini 110-3030NR netbook and When I run ubuntu in it, my audio doesn't work, only when headphones are plugged in, will it work, but the speakers itself won't recognize any audio playback.....will Linux Mint have this issue with my netbook? I'm currently running Windows 7 Starter, but would like to dualboot both that and Linux Mint on it...is it possible to do this? :)
I used Ubuntu from 7.04 to 8.04. Update to 8.10 was a nightmare so I went with a clean install of Mint. Mint is based on Ubuntu so its very similar. I think Mint is a bit better organized. It also comes with all the A/V codecs out of the box. If I were going to build a computer for my mom, Linux Mint is the OS I'd install on it.
Thanks for the information. So many people show off the ubuntu in videos but nobody seem to really talk about the functionality of it or there lack of.
