  • that's cool I forget to pour the water at the top

that's what I call the palm down

  • Does this work if your 90 years old ?

  • the 'pretty much and you wanna do etc..' guy.lol

  • all of these videos have a wierd depressing feeling to them

  • i think its funny how ever vid you go on there is a hater no matter what kind of vid . didnt know that many people still lived at home with mom at 40 years old

  • @MrSpit6

ur so sassy n edgy xDDDDDDDDD

  • Wit those little weights u got all this big muscles ?

  • @OfficialDrops1 Yes. Obviously his instructional videos with 5-pound dumbbells are an accurate representation of what he lifts on his own time. If you didn't catch the sarcasm dripping off of this comment then you're too stupid to function.

  • your triceps are ugly nigga.

  • High quality instructor for sure

  • this guy does not shows the exercises for abs coz ........he has a big tommy

  • You lift your elbows a bit too high, remember to watch that <3

  • i like all your videos.

    good job, thanks alot

  • no1 ever got strong or built big muscles lifting this slowly

  • @BigDawgShawn19

Time under pressure increases muscle strength. The more time under pressure or slow lifts, the better strength your muscle will gain for that weight

  • @mudjimbabeach you obviously have no idea what your talking about, you need the heaviest weight possible with atleast 1 to 1.5 second reps for 6 - 10 in order to stimulate deep muscle fibers, flying 2.5 pound dumbbels for 5 seconds a piece doesnt do anything but put a ton of strain on the joints, just like any other exericse, the only exception for building muscle this way is if you take steroids, because yes the muscles do tear, but barely at all... muscles deal with explosive movements, alrigt

  • it's amazing how much you can do with basic equipment.

  • hello, they have nice figure! where they bought the bank training?

  • he has great vids but I don't want to know how to do it (there are plenty of videos about that) WHAT WE WANT TO KNOW IS HOW DID YOU GET THOSE SHOULDERS?

  • is there a difference if you do these with straight arms or bent?

  • OMFG ITS GARY COLEMEN!

  • what does sets mean?

  • @marvinaz09 a set is like an egg carton if you have 12 eggs in a carton that's like 12 reps in a set so as for curls you do curls 12 times or whatnot and that's a set.

  • hi.. I 'm 18 years old, 176cm and 65kg.. i want to gain more muscle.. i have 2 medium weight dumbells.. pls give me a pice of advice or something pls

  • @2dor4444 google starting strength

  • is that Carlton from the Prince of Bel Air?

  • Thanks dude, your videos are best.

  • damn this guys jacked

  • this guy is sexy.

  • wish i had you body. so far just the skin color. le sigh~

  • @sidhartha1 very gay :)

  • thanks and this guy has good videossssssssssssss

  • you are sooo HOT PAPI

  • This is the best Deltoid execise movement that I like much...Thanks fox...

  • why is it needed to have the palms turn while doing the movement?

i have always been told that if u have it palms down at the top that u limit ur range of motion, and that you should never do that. Could someone explain this to me please?

  • yes this id my life .

    what´s my friend

  • I need to incorporate more of these into my workouts. I used to do them wrong, with my arms straight. Cum@meBro

  • wtf with all the retarted "know it all" comments?"STEROIDS" "fAKE" "WRONG".Even if u r in steroids u have to put a lot of work to archieve his body."why so little weight" ?Cause his trying to show u the exercise u fuckturd, not to workout himself.

The only thing i dont like is that his elbows exceed the shoulders line causing the laterals to "hit" the trapezoids, which is uncomfy and dangerous..

  • is there a difference between this raise and a lateral raise with straight arms?

  • "1st off the guy is roided, u can tell in his deformed arm composition"

    oh lawd

  • he looks like david otunga

  • @sexyblaackdemon

    agree xD

  • Can these be done seated?

  • His arms are massive, i want to be like that. Good videos :D

  • DAVID OTUNGA!

  • I like him because he doesn't grin and talk too much. Very humble. Sometimes i think he's gonna loose it and dance burst out and giggle the way Carton does.

  • When did Carlton get buff?

  • Constructive Criticism:#1.Never Raise your Humerus above your Delts (Impingement)

#2. Prepare your client by gesturing to bend their knees to avoid back injury.

    #3. Please articulate.

    #4. STAY AWESOME.

  • This guy doesn't deserve to be on YouTube or even on this planet.

    STE-RIODS are for LO-SERS!!

  • @13andincrediblycut o stfu, and dont talk about something you dont know darn thing -.-

  • @Bojack222 Oh, I do know plenty of things that the guy in the video knows nothing of.

  • @13andincrediblycut He could be on steroids, he could also not be on steroids. But since you are eager to jump to conclusuions without knowing facts you obviously have never worked out seriously on a high proteine diet. So what are you doing here? Just coming here to stare at this guys package? Coz that's okay, just keep your fucking mouth shut.

  • @13andincrediblycut Says a 13 year old...You must know everything.

  • It gets old reading uninformed posts from keyboard jockeys. There is such a thing called shoulder impingement. How many patients do you all see that have this condition from improper ROM? None? It is caused precisely by raising the shoulders too high during such motions or even sleep. Could a young person get away with it, even for years? Yes. Should they try it? No. Other exercises such as dumbbell press, don't use this ROM. It's just taught this way by trainers as a safety measure.

  • I'm not sure it's as simplistic as " if you lift above this point you'll get an injury". The body is well..a body and it's joints are not like say door hinges

  • lift the weights with your lateral shoulder

  • @silviu20082009 loool That's the one I use, too.

  • this is the body i want

  • i started today some of this man i was filling that i was cumming every time i raise it

  • togliete quei cazzo di sottotitoli

  • Take off the stupid "english captions" you can't see what's being done in most of the videos.

  • @ElantraDriver17 clcik the CC, just right on top of the VIEWS! ,,,you are welcome!

  • What are you talking about dont take his advice to seriously. The god father of bodybuilding teaches the same way

  • hes performing a common training error called tipping. lol hows that huge 120 loaded up on the bar as well.

  • does anyone know a good exercise for the back? to stretch it

  • @XxXPacificXxX use a swiss ball, or a chin bar

  • Fake and Steroids!

  • @Untiliamgone Who cares? Even with steroids you have to put in a ton of work; it is no different than taking protein. I can understand your disgust if he is in competition, but for recreational or amateur bodybuilding, he can use whatever the hell he wants.

  • This and side raises

  • i think u should use a bit more wieght

  • lo haces mal

  • Is that a giant didgeridoo behind him?

  • @TheMattRiley

lol. I would love to see him play it. (at least try)

  • hes technique is way off.hes body is just through years and years of training and protein supplments

  • Can this be done 2 ways or am I doing it wrong?

I'm doing this with arms straight, while his arms are bent at the elbow.

  • @HateFenians

Although that is actually harder it's not all that good for your joints. I would suggest having your arm at least slightly bent during this exercise

  • ur doing them right, theres just many varitions of this exersice, just switch it up every workout or set. or just use whatever feels comfortable to u.

  • You should never lock your elbows for any weightlifting.

  • @QwidgyboMan iiiiiiiii do't believe that in some occasions you do need to lock your elbows

  • lol @ carlton

  • carlton is pretty big lol.. nahh 4 real man great vids... they help me out a lot... keep postin..

  • This is an awesome exercise. These along with side raises seem to give me the best burn for shoulders.

  • crackin videos man nice

  • this guy has good videos

  • @gojugarrett would of been better if he wasnt monotone

  • i need help

when i do normal shoulder presses(none of the twisting thing) i do them seated without leaning my back on anything and my upper back starts to really burn, is this bad?

  • Comment removed

  • he has perfect arms and shoulders... looking very good.

  • To stay safe during the lateral raise, you got to keep your shoulders depressed, arms almost straight and lift a little bit forward (if you were a clock, arms would go to 10 and 2, instead of 9 and 3.) Also the palm should be a bit rotated, so that your thumb is in line with your pinky, if you keep it out. Also stay SLOOW in this movement and do not raise the elbow above the shoulder, rather stop the movement a bit under.

It is a nice exercise but you gotta stay safe! No brain no gain!!

  • This is AWFUL! M. Infraspinatus will take a huge beating with the elbows flexed like that becouse it will place a rotary force on the shoulder joint of wich infraspinatus must neutrilize. Also supraspinatus, the long tendon of biceps brachii and the bursa in the shoulder will be squeezed against the "roof", acromion, with potential inpinchmentsyndrome following. To get rid of all these problem, read my comment above.

  • it's funny how everyone thinks you know what you're talking about when you use big, platitudinous words. yeah play it extra safe everybody, and stay small like Morty. (actually watching his vids, I realized he dosn't do either the barbell or dumbell rows in good form.) right about one thing though: if you lift slowly you'll be fine. people get hurt when they try to lift too much too quickly.

  • aw shut up and watch the video

  • Its not easy to explain anatomical terms in non-anatomical terms, atlest not for me!

Yeah I am small. I only moved weights for like 2 years and only gained 4 pounds, becouse i want to stay small.

What is wrong with my rows? I know they are not perfect, my form have increased some since the videos and I also gotten stronger, so new videos are needed. But everyone needs to impove their form, so please give me critique. Dont mind the humping in the barbell row, i know thats shit.

  • NO.

    VERY bad form.

What's with the twisting the weights at the top???

  • @MichielVic dont take his advice?

    "Expert: Brad Aubry

Bio: Brad Aubry is CEO of VersaFit, as well as a national natural bodybuilder, certified personal trainer and a nutrition and fitness therapy specialist through International Sports Science Association."

even if he wasnt all that shit ^^^ hes still jacked so it must be working

  • @iGOTCHOPPERS1 Mannnn what are you talking about, don't you see the results he got???

  • @BossPlayaa91 yea.. that's exactly the point I was making..

  • @iGOTCHOPPERS1 He did once say that Hammer Curls work the inside of the bicep...

  • @iGOTCHOPPERS1

1st off the guy is roided, u can tell in his deformed arm composition,

2nd of all this exercise is extremely dangerous and will cause bursitis in shoulder, your arm with palms face down aren't suppose to exceed shoulder height.

3rd the ISSA is an online certification program, its practically worthless when providing competent trainers.

  • @JRubin86 Deformed arm composition? Lmao "1st off" you're a faggot if you're inspecting dude's body like that. It's feasible to be this built without steroids I know a Gunnery Sergeant that's built like this and we test for steroids in the Marines. Whatever records/certifications this dude right here holds, they're higher than what you have, therefor I trust him over you. But to be honest I don't really give a shit I'm not into looks, just functionality. I'm a Marine so I've proved myself

  • @JRubin86 BTW all you have on your page is like 30 hate comments and a favorited Chris Crocker video, get a life good sir

  • @MichielVic

That depends on your flexibility and comfortable range of motion. Some people can (and in fact need to, to get a proper workout) go higher. But for the average person, you're right, it's recommended to go up until your arms are parallel to the ground.

  • @NikeDattani I see your point, in most excercises, for example bench pressing, going further is indeed dependent on your flexibility. You really should not lift the dumbells above shoulder height in this excersize, as this will risk an injury to the supraspinatus as it becomes impinged between the clavicle. You can get a graphic view of this if you just look up the shoulder joint on wikipedia.

  • @MichielVic arnold does it way ober his shoulders and doesnt get hurt

  • @MichielVic well the shape of his body tells me he knows what hes talking about

  • @MichielVic Technically that wasn't his 'advice' so much as his demonstration.

Furthermore... like I think the angles people can handle could have slight variation, right?

  • @MichielVic he is doing light weight not heavy

  • @MichielVic Look at his muscles, how dare you say that.

  • Study the facts, then argue with me. If you'd invest 5 minutes in research, you'd have to agree with me. Idiot.

  • @MichielVic Nah. I disagree. Get over it.

  • @MichielVic fcuk you! just shut your mouth up!! if u dont like this guy video then dont do it!!! fcuk you! again!!!

  • @MrAteck01 Lol okay.

  • @MrAteck01 dumbass..every weightlifter will tell u the same thing that michielvic said... don't do it so high otherwise ur just damaging ur joints... he's pointing that out..

  • @MichielVic no pain, no gain :D

  • @MichielVic how high are you meant to go? just parallel? what injury will it give you?

  • @MichielVic it seems like its wrkin forhim tho ;)

  • @MichielVic

Nonsense, you lit your elbows above your shoulders when doing shoulder presses and about 100 different exercises and it won't cause injuries.

  • It's best to do these seated, since it prevents 'cheating'

  • Thank U Mr

  • Great exercise!

  • Out of all the exercises, I hate doing lateral raises the most. It just doesn't feel like a natural motion to me.

  • yeah same with me in the way beginning. your body slowly becomes used to it though and it burns in a more natural feeling way.

  • have you tried doing them with your arms 95% straight? i swear i've never seen someone do these with the arms bent like this before finding these vids on youtube :/

  • Keeping your arms bent like this puts less strain on the shoulder joint and targets the muscle better. You may need to do a few more reps but it is the 'safer' way. Some old school guys may say your cheating, but they're the same guys with joints pains in their entire body at the age of 60 ;-)

  • I have noticed a trend with these vids: an inverse relationship with size of muscle and size of weight.

  • @ crb4059

    LOL :)

  • hehe couldnt agree more, theres no way he got that big lifting those weights

  • I think he's using light weights due to the number of takes one of these episodes uses up. Keep in mind that every scene in a tv show, movie or presentation isn't done in one take. He's probably flubbed a few lines for all we know and the vid we see now is probably the 8th take. So imagine if he used the weights he normally uses, he'd be out of strength by the 3rd take :)

  • well they're trying to show proper form. not how much they can pump

  • can anyone tell me if this works traps indirectly? the only movement i know that works them directly is anything shrug-like, but I don't know what other kinds of movements work them indirectly.

  • yo can do upright rows

  • I love doing upright rows, then doing lateral raises just like he shows them here. I've done that my last few workouts, can hardly lift my arms afterwards : ) (Plus I do Dips right after the laterals!)

  • overhead is a press that sometimes is in the compound catergory. So offcourse you also use the back. indirect

  • he even talks like a machine

  • he is the man.the fuckin man ...... shiiiyte look at his fuckin triceps ....

  • yeah i know,im dreamin of havin those

  • man great video but the fucking text in the beginning pisses me off.

  • wow i wish i was like this guy......hes ripped to the max!!! how did you do it?

  • you got awsome shoulders buddy, how long did ir take you to get ?

  • time is irrelevant, as bodies are not the same. a body like that is built in years of training. he is very toned also.

focus on very strict form of movements like he shows here, and research on best nutrition for your somatotype.

  • Comment removed

  • nope

  • Actually I think that's physically impossible. Ten months isn't quite enough time to build that much muscle, assuming you start from scratch. And even then, you're probably looking at a full 6 day workout with alternating routines each day. P.S What are you gaining from being negative? Ego boost? Low self-esteem issues?

  • ur massive u!!!

    lovin it!

how long has it taken you to get to that size?

  • do this help to have broad shoulder?

  • So, i do the lateral raise option you did the last, with one dumbell in each hand at the same time. But the twist is that i keep my arms raised 90 degrees, then i turn my hand over so that my palms are facing against the wall in front of me, and lastly i bring the dumbells together in front of me with my arms streched out. Is this a good way to work out?
