i think its funny how ever vid you go on there is a hater no matter what kind of vid . didnt know that many people still lived at home with mom at 40 years old
@OfficialDrops1 Yes. Obviously his instructional videos with 5-pound dumbbells are an accurate representation of what he lifts on his own time. If you didn't catch the sarcasm dripping off of this comment then you're too stupid to function.
@mudjimbabeach you obviously have no idea what your talking about, you need the heaviest weight possible with atleast 1 to 1.5 second reps for 6 - 10 in order to stimulate deep muscle fibers, flying 2.5 pound dumbbels for 5 seconds a piece doesnt do anything but put a ton of strain on the joints, just like any other exericse, the only exception for building muscle this way is if you take steroids, because yes the muscles do tear, but barely at all... muscles deal with explosive movements, alrigt
he has great vids but I don't want to know how to do it (there are plenty of videos about that) WHAT WE WANT TO KNOW IS HOW DID YOU GET THOSE SHOULDERS?
@marvinaz09 a set is like an egg carton if you have 12 eggs in a carton that's like 12 reps in a set so as for curls you do curls 12 times or whatnot and that's a set.
why is it needed to have the palms turn while doing the movement?
i have always been told that if u have it palms down at the top that u limit ur range of motion, and that you should never do that. Could someone explain this to me please?
wtf with all the retarted "know it all" comments?"STEROIDS" "fAKE" "WRONG".Even if u r in steroids u have to put a lot of work to archieve his body."why so little weight" ?Cause his trying to show u the exercise u fuckturd, not to workout himself.
The only thing i dont like is that his elbows exceed the shoulders line causing the laterals to "hit" the trapezoids, which is uncomfy and dangerous..
I like him because he doesn't grin and talk too much. Very humble. Sometimes i think he's gonna loose it and dance burst out and giggle the way Carton does.
@13andincrediblycut He could be on steroids, he could also not be on steroids. But since you are eager to jump to conclusuions without knowing facts you obviously have never worked out seriously on a high proteine diet. So what are you doing here? Just coming here to stare at this guys package? Coz that's okay, just keep your fucking mouth shut.
It gets old reading uninformed posts from keyboard jockeys. There is such a thing called shoulder impingement. How many patients do you all see that have this condition from improper ROM? None? It is caused precisely by raising the shoulders too high during such motions or even sleep. Could a young person get away with it, even for years? Yes. Should they try it? No. Other exercises such as dumbbell press, don't use this ROM. It's just taught this way by trainers as a safety measure.
I'm not sure it's as simplistic as " if you lift above this point you'll get an injury". The body is well..a body and it's joints are not like say door hinges
@Untiliamgone Who cares? Even with steroids you have to put in a ton of work; it is no different than taking protein. I can understand your disgust if he is in competition, but for recreational or amateur bodybuilding, he can use whatever the hell he wants.
ur doing them right, theres just many varitions of this exersice, just switch it up every workout or set. or just use whatever feels comfortable to u.
when i do normal shoulder presses(none of the twisting thing) i do them seated without leaning my back on anything and my upper back starts to really burn, is this bad?
To stay safe during the lateral raise, you got to keep your shoulders depressed, arms almost straight and lift a little bit forward (if you were a clock, arms would go to 10 and 2, instead of 9 and 3.) Also the palm should be a bit rotated, so that your thumb is in line with your pinky, if you keep it out. Also stay SLOOW in this movement and do not raise the elbow above the shoulder, rather stop the movement a bit under.
It is a nice exercise but you gotta stay safe! No brain no gain!!
This is AWFUL! M. Infraspinatus will take a huge beating with the elbows flexed like that becouse it will place a rotary force on the shoulder joint of wich infraspinatus must neutrilize. Also supraspinatus, the long tendon of biceps brachii and the bursa in the shoulder will be squeezed against the "roof", acromion, with potential inpinchmentsyndrome following. To get rid of all these problem, read my comment above.
it's funny how everyone thinks you know what you're talking about when you use big, platitudinous words. yeah play it extra safe everybody, and stay small like Morty. (actually watching his vids, I realized he dosn't do either the barbell or dumbell rows in good form.) right about one thing though: if you lift slowly you'll be fine. people get hurt when they try to lift too much too quickly.
Its not easy to explain anatomical terms in non-anatomical terms, atlest not for me!
Yeah I am small. I only moved weights for like 2 years and only gained 4 pounds, becouse i want to stay small.
What is wrong with my rows? I know they are not perfect, my form have increased some since the videos and I also gotten stronger, so new videos are needed. But everyone needs to impove their form, so please give me critique. Dont mind the humping in the barbell row, i know thats shit.

1st off the guy is roided, u can tell in his deformed arm composition,
2nd of all this exercise is extremely dangerous and will cause bursitis in shoulder, your arm with palms face down aren't suppose to exceed shoulder height.
3rd the ISSA is an online certification program, its practically worthless when providing competent trainers.
@JRubin86 Deformed arm composition? Lmao "1st off" you're a faggot if you're inspecting dude's body like that. It's feasible to be this built without steroids I know a Gunnery Sergeant that's built like this and we test for steroids in the Marines. Whatever records/certifications this dude right here holds, they're higher than what you have, therefor I trust him over you. But to be honest I don't really give a shit I'm not into looks, just functionality. I'm a Marine so I've proved myself
That depends on your flexibility and comfortable range of motion. Some people can (and in fact need to, to get a proper workout) go higher. But for the average person, you're right, it's recommended to go up until your arms are parallel to the ground.
@NikeDattani I see your point, in most excercises, for example bench pressing, going further is indeed dependent on your flexibility. You really should not lift the dumbells above shoulder height in this excersize, as this will risk an injury to the supraspinatus as it becomes impinged between the clavicle. You can get a graphic view of this if you just look up the shoulder joint on wikipedia.
@tyciol You really should not lift the dumbells above shoulder height in this excersize, as this will risk an injury to the supraspinatus as it becomes impinged between the clavicle. And yeah, some people can stretch their muscles more than others. But this aplies to excersizes like benchpressing, not this one.
@MrAteck01 dumbass..every weightlifter will tell u the same thing that michielvic said... don't do it so high otherwise ur just damaging ur joints... he's pointing that out..
@BenjaminPipic In most excercises, for example bench pressing, going further is indeed dependent on your flexibility. You really should not lift the dumbells above shoulder height in this excersize, as this will risk an injury to the supraspinatus as it becomes impinged between the clavicle. have you tried doing them with your arms 95% straight? i swear i've never seen someone do these with the arms bent like this before finding these vids on youtube :/
Keeping your arms bent like this puts less strain on the shoulder joint and targets the muscle better. You may need to do a few more reps but it is the 'safer' way. Some old school guys may say your cheating, but they're the same guys with joints pains in their entire body at the age of 60 ;-)
I think he's using light weights due to the number of takes one of these episodes uses up. Keep in mind that every scene in a tv show, movie or presentation isn't done in one take. He's probably flubbed a few lines for all we know and the vid we see now is probably the 8th take. So imagine if he used the weights he normally uses, he'd be out of strength by the 3rd take :)
can anyone tell me if this works traps indirectly? the only movement i know that works them directly is anything shrug-like, but I don't know what other kinds of movements work them indirectly.
I love doing upright rows, then doing lateral raises just like he shows them here. I've done that my last few workouts, can hardly lift my arms afterwards : ) (Plus I do Dips right after the laterals!)
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
you pathetic idiot, you started it first by insulting me for nothing.
you cannot look like the trainer in this video does, just by exercising for 10 months how about you ask him how much he trained to look like that, and talk afterwards. go sit silently in a corner CUNT!
Actually I think that's physically impossible. Ten months isn't quite enough time to build that much muscle, assuming you start from scratch. And even then, you're probably looking at a full 6 day workout with alternating routines each day. P.S What are you gaining from being negative? Ego boost? Low self-esteem issues?
hey , the guy in this video is not correctly . Correct form is to stand straight and keep a slight bend in your elbows and lift your arms to your sides just at shoulder level and not above that
So, i do the lateral raise option you did the last, with one dumbell in each hand at the same time. But the twist is that i keep my arms raised 90 degrees, then i turn my hand over so that my palms are facing against the wall in front of me, and lastly i bring the dumbells together in front of me with my arms streched out. Is this a good way to work out?

I love doing upright rows, then doing lateral raises just like he shows them here. I've done that my last few workouts, can hardly lift my arms afterwards : ) (Plus I do Dips right after the laterals!)

time is irrelevant, as bodies are not the same. a body like that is built in years of training. he is very toned also.
focus on very strict form of movements like he shows here, and research on best nutrition for your somatotype.

you pathetic idiot, you started it first by insulting me for nothing.
you cannot look like the trainer in this video does, just by exercising for 10 months how about you ask him how much he trained to look like that, and talk afterwards. go sit silently in a corner CUNT!

nope
