People just click on the profile for brokenareo1 and youll see his targeted activity. As i said theres some of us watching you now that your back again and will report you to youtube soon. I saw Alder last year in a club i Vancouver. He's an ok guitarist but what a terrible stage presence!! I think the guy is channeling 80's rock bands in his attempts to establish rapport with the audience. Still, some nice playing but he should edit these tunes: they get pretty draggy and repetitive. Maybe it's the BC bud!

I agree...a lot of this acoustic stuff is very repetitive. And it's maddening, but he's obviously very skilled. But with the amount of artists out there doing this same style, I'd rather listen to dog fights than this.

There aren't many people doing this kind of music, and the main hook is played maybe 3 times. I don't understand your critcism. But I suppose anything can sound repetitive if you didn't like it the first time. Personally I find it much less repetitive than say, neoclassical guitar. Different strokes I guess..

Did I say an ok guitarist? No, he's way better than that--very musical and lots of interesting techniques--nice sound too. But it's too bad he and other players in this style don't take these tunes and extend them into new directions or somethng. Maybe this style is in its early days and these players are laying out the basis of it. Maybe other players will come along and do something slightly more creative with it. But he really does need to work on his stage show I think.

Don Alder is the Boss of all acoustic guitars. Any guitar on the planet (within reason), he can pick up and play and make it sound like an elemental force. All guitars bow to Don.

you are right, but there are far better guitarists - jsut take tommy emmanuel or Don Ross Pierre Bensusan or the alltime famous Michael Hedges even if he is dead. But Don is among the 30 best for shure.

@MisterSheePz - Yeah well I only heard from someone else that this piece was in Double-Drop D, so I thought furthur clarification was required, especially considering that I've had trouble with the tuning before :P The song "War of Man" by Neil Young is in the same tuning and it took me a short while to figure out that my playing of it didn't sound right in just Drop D...
