I don't know how exactly God deals with those people, but the Bible says that if there is sincere repentance and acceptance of Christ as your personal saviour then by God's grace you will be saved from eternal damnation. However, there is also mentioning of certain rewards reaped in Heaven for those who have lived an obedient life too. So I would postulate that a life-long child molester or rapist, or etc. would not reap these rewards if they repented at their death.

I noticed in your preaching session, you never once demonstrated your assertions to be true... you simply asserted them, came up with analogies which tried to help people understand your assertions, etc. But you never demonstrated their truth value. Thats whats important here if you want to talk to a skeptic, like myself. Most of the time, we are already aware of the assertions (at least I am.) Yet in Philippians 4:13, it is said that you can do all things with God who gives you strength.

I don't know how exactly God deals with those people, but the Bible says that if there is sincere repentance and acceptance of Christ as your personal saviour then by God's grace you will be saved from eternal damnation. However, there is also mentioning of certain rewards reaped in Heaven for those who have lived an obedient life too. So I would postulate that a life-long child molester or rapist, or etc. would not reap these rewards if they repented at their death.

I guess I'm not seeing where you're basing your standard from. The majority of the world's religious population seems to buy into the guidelines of the Christian standard. I think that the point that rationalresponder is trying to make is, that what you believe is arbitrary unless it's based on principals that transcend the individual, in this case God. I mean, I we didn't make the rules, so who are we to question God's.

I'm saying that god is not just or righteous if he wil send murderers and rapists to heaven without punishment because they prayed for forgiveness. In fact the whole system is flawed.
I don't need transcendant morals to see that is an immoral system.

We're all murderers, theives, and rapists (Matthew ch. 5). God's standard is perfection. Anyone that isn't absolutely perfect is thrown into the same pool of sin. There isn't bad people and then REALLY bad people--the standard is perfect and imperfect. StanMarsh1, you know you're not perfect (Romans 3:23), which makes you inelligible for entrance into heaven, but Christ can take away your sin and put it on himself making you acceptable to a perfect God. 2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 10:9, John 3:16

yes we are imperfect, but we are created in His own image and likeness. It means you can stop temptaion and be moral as long as you pray and try.

Oh, and I'm glad you put 'try' in reference to stopping temptation and being moral. Everyone sometimes has to deal with temptation and being moral and trying is all they can do, that has nothing to do with religion, that's just being human.

God is perfect but do know why we are imperfect? because of our original sin that we have inherited from Adam and Eve. Because of this we are separated from God. Now, the only way to be reconciled is to believe and have faith in His Son, Jesus. Of course, the bible tells that faith and hope without love is nothing. Just love and follow the Lord and everything will follow.
Do you think, Atheist will have the reason or logic why they are being moral or doing good?

Yes, because they can actually see the flames, feel the heat and get burned if they get too close. Whereas heaven and hell are concepets that don't have any evidence going for them.

self preservation does not merit salvation. nobody wants to go to hell. everybody wants to go to heave, most people just dont want God to be there when they get there.

Maybe self preservation doesn't warrant salvation in itself, but if he's praying it's obvious he wants to go to heaven and he will, all he has to do pray, where is the justice?

no. the biggest lie in the last 50 years is all of these evangelists telling people "if you answer 3 simple questions and pray a prayer (that i'll lead) then you'll be saved". that isn't what the bible teaches, though. salvation is a supernatural work of God. we do not choose so much as we are chosen.
if salvation were left up to how much we could love God on our own we'd be screwed.

How on earth did he punish Cain? I saw no punishment and considering God damned all of humanity to exposure to death and sin just because Adam and Eve who didn't know any better ate from the tree of "knowledge they could have done with in that situation" then you would think that Cain would have a very obvious punishment for murder

Yeah, thats why everyone agrees on what it says and there aren't multiple interpretations. God basically has little idea on what a punishment is meant to be. He punished all of humanity for what Adam and Eve did when they didn't know any better and with Cain he pretty much made animals want to attack him. When Cain said he was sorry and didn't know any better (like Adam and Eve) he instead chose to give him leprosy.
In short, whoever thought up god had a very bad concept of what a punishment was
