i would recommend a lower instrument because you will be competing in chairs(position). but you know its your choice. i play cello and love  its so fun!

@strippedmule Hey thanks! There are certain websites where you can go and buy piano/guitar/vocal music for $3.00 - $7.00 per song. Just search for "Insert name of the song you want" violin sheet music and a number of different sites will come up. I hope this helps!
