Hello. I'm from Ottawa, Canada. I have 2008 Acadia SLT loaded. We started to have a problems after 2,5 years owing the car. I can't believe it the GM don't care about their future. My boyf and I so freaking mad. Every time it's rains car is leaking.
Note the comment about the engine... great car, lousy engine... My first thought about this car was that I loved it, but I wanted to rip out the engine and beef it. I'd rather have 12 mpg with balls and performance than a 19 mpg and runs like crap. I will have to remodel a new engine into it but again its a unibody, do I really want this?

I bought the '08 Acadia SLT2. It looks just like the '09 and '10. I drove the '09 and '10 and the ony thing I noticed is that the '09 and '10 has bluetooth included with the Nav system. It would be nice to have one with a V8. The V6 in this ride is powerful at all.

The GMC Acadia is the first vehicle I ever driven. The surprising thing about this vehicle is that its a crossover, yet very fuel efficient. Also it has three row seating, but doesn't look like it does from the outside. This is a great vehicle, and probably the only crossover worth buying if you want great look and fuel efficiency
@DJTEVAdotCOM and everyone. Actually cassette players are still in demand for the music and also for MP3 player A/V input, its a wonderful addition if you want to listen to CD's and MP3's. I just wish they brought Cassette player decks back to the stereo's of new cars. Last car I seen of this was the 2005 Nissan Maxima.

Maybe u didn't watch the whole review. Or didn't understand everything. I know the Acadia is pretty good looking cool vehicle but the Outlander's much better! U know why? cuz even though the acadia has a v6 engin and, more hp, it still has sucky excelleration! So, the passing is bad and, when yr using 2wd n driving fast, the tourq is bad in rapid exceleration!
The Outlander only has 220 hp but it can still beat the Accadia cuz the acceleration's awsome n we get paddle shifters. Ya, ur right abt 3rd row seat it doesn't make sence but we only have 3 people in our family so we don't even use the 3rd row. In the Outlander, u can switch frm 2wd to 4wd to lock which is pretty cool, nice, and it saves gas! In their ratings the Outlander and Acadia both got 8.2 out of 10. So, we're even. Ok dude? Lol!
The Acadia n Outlander have almost same features except in the outlander, we get back up camera, paddle shifters, and a hard drive based navigation system that's very quick and can also hold music! Also satellite radio, and a big 650-watt Rockford Fosgate stereo speaker! It also has bluetooth phone connectivity.
the Acadia has a great sound system and a back up camera. the acadia is way more luxury, and way bigger. the 3rd row can hold 3 adults. The whole car is like a foot longer. the outlander has the most pathetic 3rd row I have ever seen. If you had ever ridden in an acadia, you would know. the Otlander is a competitor with the terrain and the rav4 not the acadia. the rav4 3rd row is actually useful Just because the outlander has 7 seats doesnt mean it is full size so stop pretending it is.

This is why GM is going under. Because theyre engineers are fucking idiots. I have a 2008 WRX and have done so much shit to that car already, and it drives like a champ, even with an additional 200HP from a larger turbo. And it took me litteraly 10 minutes to hardwire my radar detector into that car. The Acadia has some great features and is comfortable, but it is NOT a friendly car to do your own work on. I dont even wana attempt messing around in the engine bay :(

what the fuck are you talking about? i have a 350whp wrx with NO exterior modifications. the only way you can tell it has any mods at all is from the larger exhaust tip and FMIC. I also own a 2007 GMC Acadia, and I tried hardwireing a radar detector in it, and guess what, GM figured it was a good idea to leave ALL the fuses powered ALL the time, with NO switchable fuses. And the fuse box is shoved up under the passenger side behind a pannel that you need a damn screw driver to get off.
so where exactly do you get flames and pink cars from? your deductive reasoning skills are way the fuck off. and what is wrong with a big turbo? ive seen some pretty big turbos on supras making over 1000HP. I bet youre a fucking hippie that drives a damn insight around. go get your 50mpg while i get to where im going on time.
So just getting the wire into a fuse was a pain in the ass, and first you have to remove 2 clips that require at least a screwdriver or swiss army knife to get loose. But then after getting everything set up and the wire in place, I noticed that the detector was already on with the key out. So I tried another fuse, and another, and another, and 6 more! Finally I went inside and read up a bit: ALL THE FUSES ARE ALWAYS HOT!! There are no switchable fuses to tie into for accessories! FUCK GM!
my wife has one of these and I have loved it until just a few minutes ago. I bought her a radar detector for it and went to hardwire it in cause I have one for my car already. I got the wires tucked pretty well under the front dash and down to the fuse box. And this is why I am starting to hate it 1) the fuse box is nearly impossible to get to with both hands and you need to be a contorsionist to get a wire into a fuse. Its located under the passenger side foot area behind the glove box.
The GMC Acadia is a great looking SUV, but if I had to pick, of this family of SUV's I would say the Enclave 1st, Acadia 2nd, Traverse 3rd and Outlook last.
The enclave is better looking and more luxurious but way too much when this is nearly the exact same. I just don't trust american cars though, and I don't need all this space a subaru forester is awesome though. I know alot of people want these huge comfy american SUV's but they use to much fuel, it's selfish. Get a crossover, like the forester. If not get a tribeca it's awesome

Yes now i remember it has seats that can only fit two year olds in them. And it is not "more safer, tougher and 'relyable'" as you say. You can leave the seats hidden in the acadia also, and the outlander sucks. it is ugly and small.

Maybe u didn't watch the whole review. Or didn't understand everything. I know the Acadia is pretty good looking cool vehicle but the Outlander's much better! U know why? cuz even though the acadia has a v6 engin and, more hp, it still has sucky excelleration! So, the passing is bad and, when yr using 2wd n driving fast, the tourq is bad in rapid exceleration!

The Outlander only has 220 hp but it can still beat the Accadia cuz the acceleration's awsome n we get paddle shifters. Ya, ur right abt 3rd row seat it doesn't make sence but we only have 3 people in our family so we don't even use the 3rd row. In the Outlander, u can switch frm 2wd to 4wd to lock which is pretty cool, nice, and it saves gas! In their ratings the Outlander and Acadia both got 8.2 out of 10. So, we're even. Ok dude? Lol!

The Acadia n Outlander have almost same features except in the outlander, we get back up camera, paddle shifters, and a hard drive based navigation system that's very quick and can also hold music! Also satellite radio, and a big 650-watt Rockford Fosgate stereo speaker! It also has bluetooth phone connectivity.

the Acadia has a great sound system and a back up camera. the acadia is way more luxury, and way bigger. the 3rd row can hold 3 adults. The whole car is like a foot longer. the outlander has the most pathetic 3rd row I have ever seen. If you had ever ridden in an acadia, you would know. the Otlander is a competitor with the terrain and the rav4 not the acadia. the rav4 3rd row is actually useful Just because the outlander has 7 seats doesnt mean it is full size so stop pretending it is.

This is why GM is going under. Because theyre engineers are fucking idiots. I have a 2008 WRX and have done so much shit to that car already, and it drives like a champ, even with an additional 200HP from a larger turbo. And it took me litteraly 10 minutes to hardwire my radar detector into that car. The Acadia has some great features and is comfortable, but it is NOT a friendly car to do your own work on. I dont even wana attempt messing around in the engine bay :(

what the fuck are you talking about? i have a 350whp wrx with NO exterior modifications. the only way you can tell it has any mods at all is from the larger exhaust tip and FMIC. I also own a 2007 GMC Acadia, and I tried hardwireing a radar detector in it, and guess what, GM figured it was a good idea to leave ALL the fuses powered ALL the time, with NO switchable fuses. And the fuse box is shoved up under the passenger side behind a pannel that you need a damn screw driver to get off.

So just getting the wire into a fuse was a pain in the ass, and first you have to remove 2 clips that require at least a screwdriver or swiss army knife to get loose. But then after getting everything set up and the wire in place, I noticed that the detector was already on with the key out. So I tried another fuse, and another, and another, and 6 more! Finally I went inside and read up a bit: ALL THE FUSES ARE ALWAYS HOT!! There are no switchable fuses to tie into for accessories! FUCK GM!

GMC, to little to late, it only took the brink of bankrupcy to ACTUALY make a CUV with a nice interior and decent MPG,

my wife has one of these and I have loved it until just a few minutes ago. I bought her a radar detector for it and went to hardwire it in cause I have one for my car already. I got the wires tucked pretty well under the front dash and down to the fuse box. And this is why I am starting to hate it 1) the fuse box is nearly impossible to get to with both hands and you need to be a contorsionist to get a wire into a fuse. Its located under the passenger side foot area behind the glove box.

The GMC Acadia is a great looking SUV, but if I had to pick, of this family of SUV's I would say the Enclave 1st, Acadia 2nd, Traverse 3rd and Outlook last.

The enclave is better looking and more luxurious but way too much when this is nearly the exact same. I just don't trust american cars though, and I don't need all this space a subaru forester is awesome though. I know alot of people want these huge comfy american SUV's but they use to much fuel, it's selfish. Get a crossover, like the forester. If not get a tribeca it's awesome

wow your dumb. the acadia, enclave, outlook, and traverse have one of the highest fuel economies for a 7 seat passenger SUV. so dont say american cars have horrible fuel economy. maybe for sedans but not suvs. when it comes to suvs americans mpg are better than asian and german cars. and the acadia gets more mpg than the tribeca :p and im asian. im just one of the few that prefer american cars.

first of all I'm not dumb. Did I say the tribeca got better fuel economy? Nope, I said the forester got better fuel economy because it's more compact. Before you start insulting my intelligence you should read my comment properly. Would I get an acadia or a traverse if I had a large family? Yes, I would. No I would not get a tribeca. I do like subaru, and american cars havn't exactly had the best reliability. Yes the are getting better. I would sacfrifice space for better handling and fuel usage

well im srry i misinterpreted it wrong but your comment if very hard to tell. you say that american suvs have very low mpg and get a forester or tribeca instead. and the acadia and its cousins are crossovers if you didnt know. and i think that american cars not having reliability is just what america has implanted in their minds because of ford incidents. and space is a huge factor for me because i have a family of 7. and the acadia has great handling and gets good fuel economy for its size.
