Thank you for the video. I'm happy I stumbled upon it. Was reading this: aaanativearts com/article1522 html and was like what the... the article makes it sound like the women had no say in marriage (lakota). I was thinking some of it sounded a bit wrong, and it seems it was. After watching the video it seems like catching a woman's heart was quite a challenge hehe. Not just "buying" here from the father as the article seems to claim :p
i've had the same experience with a girl. i was so terrified of saying anything to her because i was so crazy abiut her. and i never said anything and walked away regretfully. next time i see her...i will tell her how i feel...i can always imagine what i will say...but it's hard to say it to her face...and she's very beautiful.

Wonderful tradition. Very similar to when I was young. A REAL strong and gentle hearted man makes the first move. She in turn treats him with kindness for his bravery, even if she isn't interested in him as a mate. Man being the protector, and She being the nurturer of the male energy in wisdom.
Your words are greatly appreciated, their dimension opens the door to understanding better than my own videos. There is so much to be said about societies whose development is heavily based on the decisions of their women.
I've met Plains Indians. You're punks. Stay where you are and stop infecting other Native tribes with your blood. There's a reason why we Native Americans are seen as savages and you're one of the reasons why.
I love the indian people very much - they are living with the nature, looking very nice, being colourful, having a great culture and the indian languages and waering is very beautiful - sorry for my bad english -

"Many so-called Americans are sooo false: you enslaved the blacks, butchered the real Americans (=Indians) and act as the world´s police today (which is not thaaat bad, but: None of you talks about his ugly past - not only are our [German] bad actions still brought up to us - at least (opposite to you) we admit it!!"
So has the Lakota officially become independent? And does that mean it will be included in the newest world atlas? That would be great if this is true and I hope the rest of the 500+ native races can claim their independence as well as whats left of Mexico and the Central and Southern American natives.
Russell Means and his delegation fully accept the sovereign boundaries guaranteed to the Lakota through two key treaties, boundaries which can never be disregarded by the laws of the United States. The Republic of Lakotah (yes, with an h) are challenging the U.S. to recognize these boundaries, because not doing so is in actuality a criminal act. The U.S. has no desire to do so, but the Lakota are determined to get the courts to recognize their rights, GUARANTEED TO THEM BY LAW. Bad news for U.S.
also I would like to add that the reason the Lakotah have to take such action is cause our goverment took the lands after W.W.2 when uranium was discovered at the north and south ends of the Black Hills. To learn more about this an other injustices please read "In the Spirit of Crazy Horse" by Peter Matthiessen.
Those young braves really had it tough, but it made for a more lasting and loving relationship. Thank you for this latest installment zacuan, nice to see back making videos again. :) ~Barb

Duncan MacCloud lived with the Lakota for several moons before his wife was killed by the blue coats scout Kern.

Heehee! What would life be like if today's Americans (all races) lived simply like the Lakota?
I could only imagine trying to wal home, only to see male suitors lined up along the sidewalk trying to talk to me. LOL.
This is great! Thanks for this!!
