This is totally wrong. You can't always block infront of yourself! And second your hands must be close to each other so the ball can't pass between them!

i guess this is how you block a spike but if u really wanna block a volleyball or any kind of trajectory, then put one hand over your face and the other down 'you know where' lol

No, wrong, just stop with these videos. If you tried to block me with those unlocked wrists and fingers I'd blast it off your hands every time. Blocking is one of the hardest things to do in volleyball and its clear you need more work and a much better understanding of what is truly the correct technique.

the one thing i hate is that it's just so fast you cant get ready so you're most likely just going to throw your arms up in the air randomly to try to hit the ball.....or is that just me?

that is not a good way to block a vb cuz the ball and go between ur hands if u have a good hitter....i am called "The Beast" on our team cuz i can run from side to side and block non-stop..i even blocked w/ 1 hand...u need to keep ur hands 2dether with thumbs pointing up and u dont need to get that low depending on how tall u r..im 5'10ish and i get half my arms above the net standing straight up...if u want to know more pm me and i give u more tips...o and im in hs w/ 5-10 blocks per game

um u never want to put ur hands together. ur just making ur block alot smaller. the hitters can easily hit angle or line past ur small ass block

nope...i play middle so wen ur hands are apart it a lot easier to hit anything!...plus it not tat small...i block angle and line...u just have to watch their arms then u can get in line with the hitter and either block it or at least touch it and take force off it so u team can win...i know wat im talking about cuz im a middle hitter/blocker and ive seen teams do tat stuff...just watch Iowa state play and u watch their hands and tell me how far apart they are! ISU has 3 players going 2 olympics!

no calm down u dont need ur arms together tht makes shit sense "all star" this is beach volleyball like the real volleyball where the sport was created not indoor in some gym its easier to get up on hardwood its different in sand the whole game is completely different. and this kid is actually good hes legit so relax

ok for one i am calm. And for 2 i do play both indoor and outdoor vb...my aunt was #1 blocker in Nation when she was in college and is still good...She plays sand volleyball all the time and has taught me in both indoor and outdoor situations...I also never said he wasnt good...it could work for him but i was watching May and Walsh play the other day and they didnt have their hands that far apart...and im not an all star i dont like taking credit for things wen my team helped with most of work..
