  • Ron Paul for FED chair is a great idea though!

  • I'm a Libertarian but I do think that there should be a hefty inheritance tax. If someone doesn't work for the money they have, they don't appreciate it, they don't understand the value of hard work, and it will snow ball into a massive amount of wealth that allows them oligarchical powers over other not-so-lucky citizens.

One the one hand inheritances promote economic inequality while on the other hand the person who has passed should be able to do what they want with their money. It's tricky

  • I don't care if Romney has money. I DO care when he attempts to use that money to buy the office of presidency!

    Ron Paul 2012

  • Steve Forbes also did not see the bubble.

  • Peter .... One thing I might suggest ... Your comments at the end about Democrats implies that the other party can do something better ... But the book "Grand Illusion: The Myth of Voter Choice in a Two-Party Tyranny" by Theresa Amato suggests we need to be sensitive. We definitely do not want to propagate this illusion that the democrat or republicans have any answers. Economic policy just doesn't change as you well know with either party.

  • Bashing China? Listening to these filthy rich talk is sickening. China pays it's workers a pittance and their working conditions are so bad they commit suicide. But these fat cats ignore this. Also many restrictions on business in "civilized" countries are environmental. China's environment is a catastrophe awaiting to happen. Why does Schiff interview this idiot? Because his daddy gave him money, pathetic.

  • @movieklump these financial people are too disconnected, its all charts and economic laws to them.

  • Apparently Forbes & Schiff want to deliberately ignore the truth about China: the wage for a day in China can't buy you 2 meals a day. Ever. Not in North America. Ever. That means it's impossible to remove regulations and wages to bring jobs back. It can't be done or people would die on the job of starvation.

  • you idiots, Ron Paul already has clarified his forein policies, and your still misrepresenting what he said, you need to hook up with main stream and act like all your listoners are stupid

  • 11 Communists disliked this video.

  • What kind of people or organizations only can borrow huge sum of money now? They are those top 1% richest Billionaires. We are seeing a new boom of credit swap market. Don't forget to fake some good credit records if you want to spawn unlimitedly. Homeless and unemployed right now? No problem. After you rob some rich people, you can construct yourselves into this unlimited worldwide ring for these boom of credit swap again. Make it a business cycle, just organize and rob some billionaires.

  • "I place economy among the first and most important virtues, and public debt as the greatest of dangers. To preserve our independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt."

    -Thomas Jefferson

  • Haha, "Good luck with Forbes." Just a pet project Steve's been working on.

  • The "CCC" Plan > Consistent, Conservative, Constitutional. > RON PAUL for President 2012!!

  • Difficult to do business in China? Why could that be? Hmm...

...maybe because..it's full of Chinese, not letting their economy being ripped apart by subsidized products of over-saturated "markets" that won't share/invest excessive wealth with/in their own country(men).

  • LOL. How do you compete against slave labor. Globalism is a race to the bottom gentlemen. The economic performance you talk of was Wall Street Ponzi Scheme Bullshit. What benefits Finance Capital is not necessarily what it is beneficial for the middle class. America is dying because of the agenda of paper pushers; and although I agree with you in principal Mr. Forbes, you and people like you are part of the problem. The debt has to be liquidated and until I see you say it, I can only LOL.

  • @youdodat2 slave labor in china..

    *rolling on the floor laughing..

seems like never been to a chinese city at all..

you stupid ignorant bastard.. go rot in your cave.

  • YouTube "Peter Schiff Considers Supporting an Attack on Iran" and draw YOUR OWN conclusions.

  • Sounds like Peter Schiff just had a conversation with himself :P

  • He used to have heated debates with guys like Forbes, now a guy like Forbes should be president? Wow! WTF Peter.

  • Peter needs to run for president in 2016 along with Rand Paul and Tom Woods. Then we can see who gets the most traction and vote for that person.

    Case closed

  • Schiff, Forbes and Romney: A regular manage-a-trois (circle jerk) of the silver spoons. Goes to show you can be honest and predict things 1000 criminally stupid economists can't predict, yet you can't overcome the genetic ignorance of a privileged childhood. Schiff should have shut up about 3 years ago...

  • @JejuLee

U think u're gonna pull anyone to go for that? U think u did me? I just post to laugh at u. Remember ad personam means u already lost :D

  • The Forbes Family got rich through drug dealing, he's nothing!

  • Pretty good interview... but Steve Forbes is still a neocon douche rocket.

What people don't like about Forbes and Romney isn't that they're successful or even that they had a leg up on everyone else. It's because they're phony, arrogant jerkoffs who wouldn't be anywhere near where they are without Daddy's money. And both kiss powerful interests' ass to continue to stay relevant.

  • But still Steve Forbes is a neo-con idiot. I agree with EsCurve, it's sad that people as stupid as Steve Forbes are so rich. Imagine someone with half a brain having his money, they could actually create businesses and products this world could really use. Instead we have a blabbering idiot that thinks Reagan cut the size of government, and thinks bombing people all around the world qualifies as defense. Even a 5 year old kid knows the difference between offense and defense.

  • I can't believe stupid fucks like this are rich

  • Sounded like Peter's inner neocon was coming to the surface again.

  • I mostly agree with Peter Schiff in everything, I mean, that is why I follow his channel, but I think there are many misleading assertions in this interview. And Ron Paul's foreign policy would make the US safer.

  • I just wish Peter had won his Senate race. He'd have been incredible. CSPAN would have become the highest rated channel.

  • Good first questions, Schiff.

  • Comment removed

  • Peter for VP.

  • I think these guys should realise that if you gave ron the chance to have a more libertarian society, he would do anything to protect it.

  • Been a fan of Peter for years but lately the things he says?

  • @kgdies I agree! I am glad I am not the only one. I don't know if it is because Peter is Jewish and sees Arabs and Persions as a threat? I don't know, but advocating for preemptive action in the Middle East does give me an area of concern about him.I noticed also he has not been posting up as many video blogs as he used to and his video section has not been updated for at least a couple of months.I will still listen, but with way more srutiny.I think he maybe compromised now that he is well known

  • @nomoreserfs

Yes "compromised" I think he is drinking the Neo-Con koolaid especially putting Forbes on air. I still like what he says about precious metals and the FED. but I think he's trying to appeal to the far right, guess we'll know for sure when he starts talking religion.

  • Preaching to the choir

  • At least he is wise enough not to endorse Ron Paul. :). Ron Paul for Fed Chairman!!! Woo hoo!!

  • @Amyls64

why is he wise not to endorse Ron Paul ? Voting for any of the other candidates means war with Iran and the same failed economics 4 more years. Are you in favor of that ?

  • @Kukainis Im not in favor of Ron Pauls Foreign Policy. I like his economic stance.

  • @Amyls64

Yes, I get that, but what I don't understand is how can anyone possibly be against his foreign policies. He is against unnecessary offensive wars. How can you dislike that ? Don't you understand that any war US is involved gets Federal reserve printing insane amounts of dollars, which inflates your currency even more ? Not to mention war with Iran would sky rocket gas prices all around the world. And for what ? Because some neo-cons are insecure about their dick size ?

  • @Kukainis Well Sometimes wars are necessary.. And I fear that he is incapable of recognizing when they are necessary. For him to say Treat our ENEMIES? the way youd like to be treated is purely insane.

  • @Amyls64

really? wars are necessary ? I would agree it was indeed necessary to oppose Nazi Germany, but how on earth can you justify starting a war with Iran ? How can you justify Iraq ? Or Afghanistan ?

  • @Kukainis The task would be to take out their nuclear capabilites. Ron PAul is the type that will not recognize the danger of our enemy until its too late. He is very naive I fear. Yes Wars are necessary if there are people who are intent on killing you .. you dont treat them like they are MR. nice guys. That is total ludicrous.

  • @Amyls64

how is it that you think US has rights to "take out" another countries nuclear capabilities ? Iran has NEVER attacked anyone, why do you think it is a treat ?

  • @Kukainis What if you were ISrael. Would you still ask that question?

  • @Amyls64

of course I would. What do you mean would I ask the question whether or not to start a war. Don't you think war should be the least option to take only if all other options have been exhausted. I'm simply shocked how anyone can be so eager to START A WAR. Have you been raised by wolves ? And more to the point, If I were Israel, I wouldn't have a country in occupied land...

  • @Kukainis Listen I dont know what to tell you. If your enemies are intent is that they want you off the face of the planet and they say that openly . and they keep stating PUBLICALLY that Israels days are numbered. ANd they are making a nuclear weapon and you dont take them out then YOU ARE JUST PLAIN STUPID !!

  • @Amyls64 Turn off the TV or at least stop watching Fox News...

  • @darklordjuan I dont have a tv

  • @Amyls64 Iran did never state that they want to wipe people of Israel off the map. You are very uneducated if you repeat warmongerer's lies. Go to Wikipedia and learn about it.

  • @Packgammon I dont trust wikepedia. Anyway.. Google Iran Wipe off Israel off earth under videos mr. smartass.

  • @Packgammon "Our dear Imam said that the occupying regime must be wiped off the map and this was a very wise statement. We cannot compromise over the issue of Palestine." -Ahmadinejad, as reported in a translation by The New York Times.

  • @AlexanderLee1 I agree. Wiping off a regime is very different than wiping off a country, meaning the population. Threatened by US´ and Israels gov with death and destruction, this reaction is understandable.

  • @Kukainis AND by the way GOD gave that land to the JEWS. GO read the bible the deed is right in there .

  • @Amyls64

I'm atheist. Go tell those Jewish bad time stories to your kids or something...

  • @Kukainis Whatever. ITs their land its their land legally. They are not occupiers of anyone elses land.

  • @Amyls64

Again, read a book for once (and I don't mean the Bible). You can even read that in Wikipedia, black on white. In 1948 they just declared that from now on, we (the Jewish people) will have our own country here in Palestine. How is that not occupation ?

  • @Kukainis Because they legally got their own country.

  • @Amyls64

please elaborate, I'm just dying to hear how is it that you think it was legally...

  • @Kukainis Until idiots like Amyls64 actually go to Palestine they will never pull their head out of their ass. The media has them brainwashed to believe that somehow Israelis are allowed to kill whoever they want whenever they want, and take whatever they want then claim it's their own. Israel is an evil regime and anyone that's been there knows that.

  • @Kukainis Wars are not about "rights," because we gain rights under the LAW. We do not share a common law with Iran, so we do not owe it or its citizens any "rights."

Of course, this does not mean that we should unnecessarily provoke Iran (you don't owe bees any rights either, but you don't go around poking their nests unless you have to).

We should avoid war because it is costly, but not out of some sense of duty to people that do not extend to us the same sentiment.

  • @bct2702

So the only reason for not going to a war with another nation is because it is costly ? How do you people sleep at night...

  • @bct2702 US politics does unnecessarily provoke Iran, no doubt about it. Learn about history. You expect Iran to like the US while US is threatening people with death and destruction? Where have you been indoctrinated?

  • @Amyls64 What you warmongers seem oblivious to is that for every one of the putative enemies you kill, you make ten more enemies bent on your destruction. The only possible endgame for your strategy is an orgy of annihilation that takes the world down in flames. The better strategy is to simply stop making enemies.

  • @Panpiper HA HA HA HA HA. You are very naive man.

  • @Kukainis Its not so much that I am against his policies to be honest I am concerned about his ability to decipher good from Evil. He thinks Americans created Al Qaida r. HE think Gaza is a concentration camp. He never talks about the dangers of Radical ISlam on Human rights. I am more concerned about his judgement then I am about his policy.

  • @Amyls64

Actually he does talk about radical Islam all the time, he recognizes that this is because of US interventions in foreign affairs in Muslim countries. He is the one who would make US less of a target for any radical Islam groups. And regarding the Al Qaeda, that's not his opinion, that is a fact. Al Qaeda was indeed created by CIA to help combat Soviet Union in Afghanistan, read a fucking book for once...

  • @Kukainis Maybe he should read the Koran and the Hadith.

  • @Kukainis Well Maybe he should read the Koran and the Hadith

  • @Kukainis i agree with you, unfortunately some people are so brainwashed by TV news that they go along with what ever they are told. they are the "sheeple".they just dont get it.Ron Pauls foreign policy alone gets my vote. He is the only logical choice. We have too many issues here to worry about some irrelevant country's politics. the "war on terror" is BS. but the propaganda works on some people,so there will be those that mindlessly oppose peace.

  • @Kukainis they are not just "insecure about their dick size" - WAR is BIG BUSINESS. young lives be damned.

  • @Kukainis Because you don't know who the Irgun terrorists are. It's all about the terrorist nation known as Israel. Ron Paul knows the crimes that the Irgun commit on a daily basis against the Palestine people ever since 1948. This is why Beck, Forbes, the majority of mainstream media, and most others attack him over the Israel issue and foreign policy of peace. The Irgun want to kill. Watch Youtube clip titled 'Ron Paul Exposes Neocons' to see he gets it.

  • Steve Forbes? He belongs on msm. Like he's not going to yacht parties with Blankfein. Borderline unsubscibe.

  • President Ron Paul 2012

  • This is the perfect example for free education made available for free on internet.. When Apple decided they wanted to let individuals create iPhone Apps, they shared large amount of programming tutorials,, so the most people could learn and create iPhone Apps.

It is now over 100 000 registered iPhone developers earning a living programming iPhone / iPad apps. And it is millions of tools and tutorials out there for free on internet... This is "The free markets" way of educating people.

  • Peter Schiff is a Poopy-Head.

That's right, I can say that, b/c this YouTube!!!!

    And you care.

  • Paul as Fed head?! Wow! That fucker would be gutted and deservedly so!

  • I'd go for that.... RP for FED chairman, but we all know that the establishment will never go for that! The FED is what keeps the establishment in power! If Ron doesn't take the presidency, the next 4 years are gonna very long!

The FED is the master of all...

  • If you really want to know why Ron Paul supports the foreign policy that he does, and also what the government has been trying to keep hidden from us... watch this!

  • Search youtube: " Ron Paul's Foreign Policy Views Explained in 13 Minutes " video by FTMdaily

  • @Dunedin73 Ya...diplomacy is losing popularity. Hypocrisy is rampant. Hmp...land of the free I guess.

  • Comment removed

  • Finally, we hear prominent Austrian economists like Schiff and Jim Rockards press for action against Iran, rather than go with the herd they think for themselves.

  • What Romney NEEDS to do is become a fiscal conservative. Nobody wants G.W. Bush's 3rd term.

  • @0HippyHunter0 And what about the NDAA ?

  • @needtoalwayslearn Absolutely needs to do away with it. Of course, as a Republican, he wont. #1 issue in this election: economy #2: government spending. Thats why Paul is the best candidate. #4523: foreign policy.

  • @0HippyHunter0 I misunderstood. I thought you wanted Romney as President, and were suggesting he prioritize fiscal conservatism.

The 1st priority is to get rid of NDAA, and the militarization of the United States. How any human being can accept the need for all these drones flying on American soil is ridiculous.

  • @needtoalwayslearn The NDAA is so much worse than drones. I'm with you 100%. I worry that the economic situation in the United States could lead to unrest if our government doesn't get its boot off our face. If that were the case all this militization would be a nightmare.

  • I'd like to see the following in 2012:

    President: Ron Paul

    Vice President: Gary Johnson

    Secretary of State: Rand Paul

Chief Economic Advisor: Jeffrey Miron/Peter Schiff

Chairman of the Federal Reserve: Not Applicable

These people know what's needed to welcome back business by creating a minimally regulated atmosphere.

  • @ImhoffInstruments You have to have a FED chairman... at least for a while! That man would be Jim Grant! Dr. Paul has already mentioned this.

  • @AliceInWonderlandSyn Ha you're right I'm just getting ahead of myself. I'll have to look into Jim Grant. If Paul supports him he's probably got the right intentions in mind.

  • Mr. Schiff, when it comes to tariffs I must say that most probably out of my own ignorance, I do not agree with you or Ron Paul and I am one of your biggest admirers. I think a +-10% tariff on imports would serve as a tool to create the incentive for foreign companies to relocate to the U.S. and create jobs. Tariffs would lessen the burden of the cost of national defense and simultaneously stimulate foreign companies to invest within the U.S. in order to lower their product price.

    RON PAUL 2012!

  • @truefictions I too in the past have thought that a tariff would be a good idea but numerous opponents (from all over the political spectrum) argue this would escalate into trade wars with countries like China.

  • @timongarretson

Americans wouldn't give a crap about China if the U.S. had a true free market economy. This great wealth of China is a historically recent phenomena that only became possible because the People of the world have been electing "unpatriotic" left wing globalist governments who have been working hard to tax their incomes, practically "forcing" the People to buy cheaper, slave created foreign products in order to survive while supporting parasite politicians.

  • @truefictions

I am aware that foreign companies exporting to the U.S. would pass on the burden of the tariffs to the consumer of those products, but lets remember that no one would be forced to buy them. I also understand that this measure could hurt U.S. exports by provoking the retaliation of foreign countries, but think about it.. who is doing most of the buying presently, and how much more could Americans buy if the U.S. had a true free market?

  • I gotta hand it to you Peter, AT LEAST you make people THINK!

    Thanks!

  • I AGREE. We have too many ppl working for the Fed. Gov't. SLACKERS with bloated salaries AND pensions. Those morons sit on their asses all their lives and don't die till their 100, collecting FAT $ pensions for forty years.

  • Hey guys! In the 1920', 30's, 40's ,50's, 60's America manufactured EVERYTHING. We were "the great society". What happened? In the 1980's someone got the bright idea to use slave labor overseas to make corporations and CEOs richer. So, everything was outsourced.

Peter, you can't pull the wool over everyone's eyes. Some of us remember those days.

Plates, pots n' pans, Levi jeans were all made in America. And that stuff lasted FOREVER. The sh*t coming out of China lasts 1 year = garbage!

  • End the Fed.

  • Forbes sounds like a reasonable man in this interview but once you find out that he endorsed Rick "Gardisil" Perry for president his credibility swirls down the toilet. How can he endorse a stooge like Gardisil Perry and then lock up when Peter suggests endorsing the obvious choice, Ron Paul?

  • Lower corporate taxes? ROFLMAO! Most US corps. don't pay taxes. THAT is why the Fed. Gov't is bankrupt. The Fed Gov't is depending on citizens to subsidize it's debt by raising individual's taxes, while corporations pay zilch. Most US companies get MILLIONS in refunds from the Fed gov't every year, while American workers pay up the wazoo.

And THAT is why, the "middle class" is now "lower class".

Of course, if my son GOES TO COLLEGE, he can become a Wall St. Banker, NOT a factory worker!

  • @karenbcz22 If your son goes to college, can he become a factory MANAGER? You know, one of those "white-collar" jobs?

  • @heckler73 Nope. Working in a factory is not my son's future. My son will get an MBA, take the CFA exam and become a Wall Street Banker. Becoming part of the 99% is not part of our family plan. Wealth is in "ownership", creating of businesses, OWNING factories, not working as a slave in one. If 1/2 the Fedl. gov't workforce could be laid off, the US Gov't . would save trillions, and instantly, we'd have thousands of factory workers. But I'm afraid they wouldn't like the LOW pay.

    LOL!

  • Oh yeah Peter. Let's be LIKE CHINA. No minimum wage = slave labor. Why go to college and go into debt, when you can just work in a factory for substandard wages, eh?

    Great!

  • @karenbcz22

No.. China has "slave labor" because they artifically undervalue their currency but that won't last for long. The minimum wage just destroys some lower paying part time jobs that kids could do over the summer for example.

  • Yes, Peter. Americans buy a lot of Chinese products. But we're FORCED to. That is NOT by choice. That's by design ... corporate design. Cheap labor = bigger profits. And FRANKLY, the American consumer gets screwed because Chinese goods suck! = JUNK!

  • Do you people really think that the ring of power can be used for good? We have to throw it into Mount Doom or evil keeps coming back. You people need to read more.

  • Peter is idiot, poor boy...

  • Schiffy keeps talking about jobs, but lowering taxes, deregulation and elimination of minimum wage won't bring them back anytime soon. Tariffs are not taxes. They protect the economy from cheap foreign imports so Americans can compete. What do we want? more expensive goods which we can save up to buy or cheap imports we can't afford at any price because we have no income from a job? BTW, Ron Paul opposes free trade.

  • @chaz000006

    1. Ron Paul opposes *managed* trade.

    2. Tariffs are a tax on imports.

    3. American's can't compete because people have been financing liberal arts degrees for 30 years and aren't skilled enough to produce anything.

    4. Protectionism is a mercantilist idea. It benefits producers at the expense of consumers.

  • @VictoryCough

    1) What is "managed trade"?

    2) Are flat, real wages for 3 decades, with rising cost-push inflation on foreign suppliers not a "tax"?

    3) So the "service sector" has no value, whatsoever? All those foreign students that come to North American Universities (and pay a premium), aren't contributing to economic growth?

    4) Protectionism is a tactic of economic warfare (Yes, there is such a thing). However, it has benefits to what Ha-Joon Chang calls "infant industries".

  • 1. managed trade is NAFTA, inter-government arrangements for trade blocs. This is mercantilism.

    2. "Cost-push" inflation is a false notion that supply-siders and Keynesians still cling to. This was disproved by Carl Menger. Retail prices rise because the price for raw materials rise. Prices of raw materials and commodities rise due to inflating the money supply. Prices are established by consumption and savings.

  • @VictoryCough

    1) So "Globalization" is bad? Are you saying "Free-Trade Agreements" are not pro-capitalist? America shouldn't have that guarantee from Canada to supply it with oil based on production output?

    2) Cost-Push inflation is exactly what you said, "the price for raw materials rise". The rest of the comment was superfluous.

  • @heckler73 3. Of course there is value to the service industry. Again, no one out of grad school is going to work in the service industry. People will stop coming here. I have an Indian friend who is moving back to India!

    4. Again, protectionism benefits a few exporters at the expense of a declining standard of living.

  • @VictoryCough

    3) Did you miss the point about University being the "service provided"? Is there greater social benefit b/c of that?

    4) Protectionism can be used to benefit an oligopoly or it can be used to nurture "infant industries" that provide a similar product, but need some time to develop the (superior) functional capacity through local markets. America's 20th century roots were firmly planted in protectionism. Or am I mistaken?

  • @VictoryCough

1.Ron Paul VOTED against free trade with China

2.By your thinking then, stopping all trade with China is considered a tax then, isn't it?

3.Jobs that have been lost are mostly manufacturing, such as assembly line type jobs - requiring little or no skills.

    4. If your at the bottom of the economic barrel, free trade is good - you get all the labor intensive jobs. If your higher up economically AND you want a good manufacturing sector, free trade is bad.

  • @chaz000006 BTW, Ron Paul opposes free trade. No that is wrong RP siad many times he wants free trade without tariffis, Listen to his vids

  • RON PAUL 2012!

  • Legalize freedom vote Ron Paul

  • Paul as Fed Chair, just another way to handcuff the man with a plan. People all ready complain Paul was not able to change anything while in congress. Once agian, this mindset is just too hand-cuff Paul and his ideas. Formor CIA agents have siad Paul's foriegn policy is correct. If we take Forbes advice for Fed Chair, I will take the CIA agents advice on foriegn policy.

  • Peter Schiff for Senator in CT! Vote out Lieberman!

  • How does Forbes define "resources"? How does destroying bureaucracy "free up resources for the American people"? Add to unemployment, while reducing public services?

Too many people (especially from the Libertopian angle) speak in platitudes and use weak conjecture to bolster their delusional opinions.

How about giving critical thinkers a little more meat instead of preaching bullshit to the mosh-pit?

  • @heckler73: "Too many people (especially from the Libertopian angle) speak in platitudes and use weak conjecture to bolster their delusional opinions."

Well, it's not delusional, but you're right about the simple platitudes. Take note of the media in which you see these statements made.

This clip is from a 2hr show, and is just one of the interviews Schiff did today. There isn't time to marinate and slow cook the meat. Go read mises.org for in-depth information, if you really care.

  • @Eincrou I can state that it IS delusional, by definition. If facts contradict the hypothesis, what is it? Yet to be proven?

    No, it is WRONG.

So if those who initially cling to such beliefs continue to do so, what does that make them? Enlightened?

Go read Billy Blog, if you really care...

  • I'm confused. Who pulls the strings when Forbes is being interviewed by Peter Schiff as opposed to when he appears on Fox News? Are MSM and alternative media merging now?

  • Jim Grant would be an excellent Fed chairman (though I'm sure he would be reluctant to accept)

  • People are still scared shitless of terrorists when we finally get over this we will move forward. Eight American's have been killed from terrorists out of 350 million since 911. We have lost so much freedom because we are so so scared. Check out how many people have been killed from lighting strikes in America since 911, lets bring this into perspective.

  • @johnnycmajor Most people would attribute that to the success of the US terror policy. Don't flip out on me like I know you want to. I am just saying.

  • @EnnesX Our terror policy is made up from these evil people running the federal reserve you are right there. We have to stop been so damn scared of terrorists we don't even know for sure what he hell happened during 911. Inquest was even dirty and fixed. Eight people have died in America since 911, our of 350 million, how many died from lighting strikes during that same time. We must get over our fear they have us right where they want. Liberty is disappearing.

  • @johnnycmajor Opps I already said lol, I just took a drone to the knee.

  • @johnnycmajor You guys are absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to talk to.

  • @johnnycmajor Since all the other wars on vague targets (drugs, terrorism, poverty et al) failed why would you encourage a war on lightning? Government mandated rubber hats for all Americans! Safety first... it only costs freedom.

  • @johnnycmajor Let us also bring into perspective that 9-11 was an inside job; carried out by the US Government in order to pass such dubious ''laws'' such as the Patriot Act and the NDAA. It also gave the US the excuse to rev up the war machine and make lots of profits and steal lots of resources in the Middle East (Afghanistan and Iraq). Al-CIAda is no more dangerous than choking on a hamburger or getting hit by lighting. I am glad I woke up, quit the police, and left the US(S)A

  • @johnnycmajor I'm not a religious person but I will give you an Amen to that, brother.

  • @johnnycmajor Lol! 8 US soldiers commit suicide every day!!! Obviously America's biggest enemy is ITSELF

  • @johnnycmajor There is no way to "get over" terrorism. The government will always find a way of cooking up a scarier, newer version: muslims, hackers etc.

  • Would rather see Ron Paul stick to his guns and not go chasing boogeymen than trying to satisfy neocon urges.

  • Please. He is a man of principle and would never take such a position. He wants to end the Fed not work for it.

  • If Ron Paul is the chairman, he will induce a monetary contraction bigger than what caused the Great Depression.

  • @H1TMANactual LOL haha LOL haha

  • @H1TMANactual He will, but that isn't what "caused" the great depression. The argument for that has been refuted time and again. Today is a shinning example of the opposite not working. QE has been a detriment to our economy and has done more long term damage than good. We need the market correction and contracting the money supply will set the stage for that so long as we don't do what we did in the great depression where we spent needlessly for digging holes and filling them back up.

  • @sonnybrown Aside from the incoherent drivel, monetary contraction is what caused the Great Depression.

  • @415Dub Yes it would have. There were many recessions before 1913. Matter of the fact the panic of 1907 was the reason for the creation of the Fed.

No I am not a Keynesian, but you sure sound like a Ron Paul drone without even a superficial understanding of monetarism.

  • @H1TMANactual The federal reserve allows for massive government entitlement spending, bailouts of multinational corporations, and perpetual wars and that is kind of the point of having money whose value is not subject to the whim of human corruption. We can't have the value of our $ be determined by private bankers.

  • @415Dub RE:$ value determined by bankers.

Who should determine its value then?

  • @H1TMANactual No. It is not, Mr Hitman. You're on Peter's channel for a reason other than trolling, I'm assuming. Go learn a thing or two about his economics. Or better yet go learn about Austrian Economics. Both Hayek and Mises warned about the depression before it happened. It was brought on by reckless monetary expansion causing malinvestment. When the correction came in the market, the government decided to spend its way out of it. Now we're trying to print our way out. Neither work.

  • @sonnybrown Hmm cool story. Austrian business cycle theory has been thoroughly debunked.

  • @H1TMANactual Oh, ok, you are trolling. Cool.

  • @sonnybrown Whatever helps you avoid reality.

  • @H1TMANactual You mean you're not trolling and you don't know Peter is aligned with Austrian Economics? Who's avoiding reality here?

  • @sonnybrown No I know Peter is Austrian, where did I say he wasn't? Not all of Austrian is wrong. The rhetoric you spewed - Austrian business cycle theory has been thoroughly debunked. Try reading something other than Austrian drivel.

  • @H1TMANactual Ok, you're not trolling, you're just dumb. Why don't you look at what Peter has said about the great depression. His opinion is the same as ALL AUSTRIAN ECONOMISTS. DO I HAVE TO TYPE IN CAPS FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND? PROBABLY. OK BYE.

  • @sonnybrown Umm maybe b/c he is wrong and so are the Austrians. Read A Monetary history of United States by Milton Friedman. Monetary contraction as the cause has been proven with EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE. Try again.

  • @H1TMANactual @H1TMANactual Friedman changed his position on one pivotal point that really undermines your position. Friedman at the end of his life saw the wisdom of destroying the Fed. Watch him say it for yourself, search on YT for "Milton Friedman-Abolish the fed"

  • @gooseCha Friedman didn't change his position, he was always in favor of abolishing the Fed. When did I say Fed shouldn't be abolished. I am more in favor of audit and transparency though. I am talking about monetary policy here. It's irrelevant whether it's carried out by Treasury, Congress or Fed.

  • @H1TMANactual I am a little confused then. How can you delink our current monetary policey from what the Fed does? They pyramid debt and issue our currency. They determine what the value of our money is.

  • @H1TMANactual

Yes, monetary contraction caused the Depression, I don't think Austrians even deny that. However, Austrians argue the expansion of the money supply in the 20's caused the credit-driven boom, and when the Fed tightened up, the Depression came. Along with this, the various road-blocks put in place to soften the blow (heavy protectionism, Wage floors, Subsidies for underproduction) turned the Depression "Great", and prolonged it for another 15 years.

  • @H1TMANactual your fuck up of a gov has already started the even greater depression

  • @H1TMANactual If Ron Paul were chairman, corporations and governments wouldnt be receiving trillions of dollars in secret loans.

  • @H1TMANactual ofcourse, there will be a BIG contraction in the financial sector, which is good and needs to happen, the derivatives bubble must burst eventually....but the media would potray it as the greatest depression cause the financial and banking sector OWns the media....but the real economy would recover
