@TheStockwell I've heard alot of stuff about Poe and how nice he was. Yes he had a drink here and there. So, it's totally ok for Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton to go drink themselves until they're almost dead, but it's not ok for someone whos under a crapload of pressure? I'll be honest; his life was terrible. And it's believed Poe was murdered. I think Griswold did it. Theres this game about Poe called the Edgar Allan Poe Conspiracy and you can kill Griswold hahahaha its awesome.

When Poe died, there was a Big Deal anti-alcohol movement in the US and Poe's doctor thought, "Hey! I can do society a lot of good by spreading the idea that drinking was this guy's downfall." Thanks, Doc - you're the best! What a jerk. Have you read Bloch's "The Man who Collected Poe"? Famous Poe fan: Sylvester Stallone - strange but true!
Poe was a genius!! I love him!! Who is the idiot who said that he was a jerk!? I'll kim him!! Maybe he drank too much but... come on!! He was human!! Of course he had weaknesses. And his life wasn't exactly la vie en rose, he died so young :'(
Personally, i love the pit and the pendulum, in my opinion is his best story. Really, if you can't understand The black cat you have a serial mental problem XD haha i don't know how you will understand the raven so...
