The reality of choice you are aware of proves that the supernatural exists. If you were just a collection of matter and nothing more, you would be predetermined completely by physics, yet you can choose the order in which you cut your nails. Every time you cut your nails, choosing the order as YOU decide, knowing that the ultimate choice is down to YOU and not NATURE which influences, you are proving atheism wrong.
@AthosAmo Do you choose to express your idea based on the semantic structure of the English language following all of it's rules or was it already pre-determined that you will think and then speak in English due to being exposed to this language in child-hood. What is choice? Are we always conscious of our choices? Do we choose to perceive the color GREEN or does our brain do it automatically? How much of what you actually are, was your CHOICE and why doctors ask if cancer runs in your family?
@lucidegoist I choose to follow the laws of the messed-up English language. I never said that everything about me is chosen, nor that we are always conscious of our choices. Perceiving the colour green is not a matter of choice, of course. Since you have the choice to respond to me or not, that proves you have a spirit, and the supernatural exists. You know nothing forces you to respond to me. If you do, it will be up to you. Influences should not be confused with determinants.
@AthosAmo I agree that you do choose to follow the rules of the English language, however did you always have that choice? When did you realize that you did? @lucidegoist Did you get that? If you have no spirit and are thus merely physical, that would mean that physics COMPLETELY determines all of your actions and thoughts. That means you would have no choice. Physics would force you to do all that you KNOW you CHOOSE to do. If you do have a choice, as is the case, then it is not the physical you which is choosing, but a non-physical you. That would be the literally non-natural you. A supernatural you. Spirit.

@AthosAmo It matters because you probably don't even remember... There was a time when you didn't even know that your reflection in the mirror is You. So, is it because you don't have a Spirit when you are a child or because the complex neural networks which are responsible for the creation of conscious awareness have not been created in your rain yet.
@lucidegoist Good point. I haven't heard that one before, so I don't have an answer in store. But here is what I come up with. Animals have spirits too, so having a spirit does not mean one will automatically be intelligent. With experience, a child learns that the reflection isn't them. Humans can be more intelligent than animals because not only do we have the brainpower to handle lots of physical information stimuli, we also know between good and evil, so we can argue about abstract things.
@AthosAmo I responded out of my own desire, not need. The only way someone can force me to respond is if they use my life as leverage, since I value my life I will do everything to survive.....even if it means killing someone close to me. However, if you believe otherwise that you are a Spirit 1st, making choices within a physical body, go ahead and place yourself in that situation and see if your body agrees with you.

Since you are a reasoning being, you don't do things for no reason, but always for a reason, even if it isn't good. As long as you think it is a good reason, you will do what you choose to do. If I believe that my reason for not having a good reason is a good one will that prevent me from making a choice. Something doesn't necessarily have to force you, however my desire to have a conversation with you allowed for this to happen.

If you are emo and you cut yourself, you think your misery is good reason to do so, as a way to express yourself according to your emotion. This freedom to choose would have been much better if I did not know that all my homework can be done in 1-2 hours right before the end, and thus I always end up procrastinating because I can.
This video also explains why people smoke pot. They are trying to get even more relaxed. It's the most extreme reaction to feeling like a slave. The only way they can get more relaxed would be to get into a coma or be dead.
Holy shit, after watching this I wrote 312 lines of code in a day and got a HD for my assignment which I would otherwise not have passed, I don't wake up craving computer games anymore and it has even helped me with dieting and excersize, thanks so much for uploading this!
After watching Deans videos, I can conclude that soon I will be free from the shackles of tyranny and will evolve into an x-man... right after I pay off the three mortgage's.

@13SomA37 You can put time, present, past, future into time intervals. Now - Present can be divided into seconds, minutes, hours, days, months... Same goes with Future and past. Theoreticly, you can't catch the moment of time that is present. You can just imagine that, what happens right now, in present, is in a time interval. For example, I am watching this video at the moment - present. You get my point... Thats just my theory about time..
no you cant choose wheter you have to do things or not. basically, you'd have to go to hunt your food and cook it, etc.

@13SomA37 You can put time, present, past, future into time intervals. Now - Present can be divided into seconds, minutes, hours, days, months... Same goes with Future and past. Theoreticly, you can't catch the moment of time that is present. You can just imagine that, what happens right now, in present, is in a time interval. For example, I am watching this video at the moment - present. You get my point... Thats just my theory about time..

no you cant choose wheter you have to do things or not. basically, you'd have to go to hunt your food and cook it, etc.
the only thing you can choose, is wheter its something you musst do(obligation) or if it is something you want to do, because youll sometime realsie that it might be intresting, etc. youu guys are clever but way to categoric.

@13SomA37 I respectfully disagree (about the second part. I would also love to see Dean do a video on time). All 3 classifications of time are important. The past matters so we can learn from it. I obviously don't need to explain the importance of the present and the future is what we are working towards. (Don't ask me how I could be more cliche than that.)
