  • It's 30 dollars cheaper on newegg......

  • @XenogearsPS then use the sites price matching!?

  • That card looks so Boss.

  • So I'm aware that there are a ton of outputs on here. I was curious if you'd be able to run 3 or 4 monitors of windows though, rather than gaming.

  • @BBP854 /watch?v=RWG8smZzT90&feature=g-all-u&context=G2be63f7FAAAAAAAAAAA

  • @wisico640 Thankyou. I'm seriously looking at the 570s now.

  • hahahah 4:26 LOL =)

  • Are you linus117 ?

  • I can't believe this even though I bought a GTX 590 I bought it for it's MDT and now this

  • Linus you are awesome!

  • I watch so much ncix and linustechtips videos i forget to rate and coment:)

  • didnt like this video

  • Linus, learn to wear a grounding strap and use an anti-static mat before you continue to ubox electronics. The static electricity is going to damage them.

  • @Amaroqdricaldari meh, calm down. Linus always grounds himself before unboxing. I think he said once that he touches a plugged.-in PSU, but I'm not sure.

  • There are more dvi than the gtx590

  • I wonder when AMD and Nvidia will start putting 4 GPUs on one card (Quad Crossfire/SLI).

  • Linus, Do a video comparing this to the 590!

  • CUDA processing + multi-monitor setups? Awesome for programs like Premiere Pro. :D

  • Shit now i have to find snipersean007's comment x)

  • i am 30,000th viewer :D!

  • @TheGenesisfreak same!

  • hey so that means i can do upto 3 displays like ati eyefinity with one card

  • @gamer1200000 yeppers

  • @toofbar3 Hey its guardian, i got 150-200 to spend so can u give me a guide on what to get please?

  • @BrandonDaviess Get a gtx 560, or one of the new 7000 series from amd in a while.

  • Without searching to snipersean007's comment I'm going to assume he is asking what Linus does with all the tech he gets. Sherlock Holmes deduction pro equipped.

  • sigh now to search for snipersean007's comment :(

  • @Hasfirstfrjord he asked what linus did with all his graphics cards

  • at larger rez u need more than the 1.5GB of a basic nvidia card

  • Wait.... So this doesn't use Eyefinity?

  • Darn it i just bought an ATI card two days ago just because i couldn't find a card like this with 3 monitor support in one card.

  • still trying trying to find snipersean007's comments. Running low on food and water....

  • @SablecoltMinecraft your comment is overrated, also i'm running low on fucks to give.

  • The design of this videocard is similar to the HD 5870 Vapor-X from Sapphire ;)

  • @zeeGuardiaN, How much can you spend?, if you have money to spend of say 700bucks, dump that entire system and get a core i5 2500k system with a Radeon 6970 or the cheaper route would be find a cheap deal on a Radeon 6950 $170ish bucks would be good, the 6770 isn't anything amazing when it comes to gaming.

  • 1:52 time warp ?

  • @zeeGuardiaN Graphics card!

  • can i get a gtx 580 that can do eyefinity with out buying 2 of them

  • @gamer1200000 Nvidia cards can't output more than 2 displays per card.

  • KFA2 cards do exactly the same...

  • Galaxy videocards suuuuuuck! Linus dropped down his good products level bar.... Why?!

  • beautiful

  • Thanks for not mentioning or making "camera man" feel awkward For the first time

  • OMG Linus man u make me laugh a lot

  • Wait Linus care to share how this card can possibly support 4DVI at 1 time off 1 GPU 0.o i thought you could only run 1 HDMI and 1 DVI, or dual DVI, how can Galaxy allow users to use 4 DVI simultaneously out of 1 card? Life hax?

  • Am I the only one that thinks one of these days Linus will drop the card when taking it out of the bag?

  • @davidmrust For some reason I usually don't notice, but this video in particular had me thinking that.

  • can you mail me your old grapic cards :)

  • @xxatwxx10 buy your own

  • I'll never understand how people cope with the silly divisions between the monitors :P

  • galaxy is a company that sells high end card a a (very) cheap price... i got my gt 430 for 20$...

  • @lolman123401 Wow that sounds like a very high end card.

  • Isn't HDMI better then DVI? Why don't then just give 5 HDMI ports?

  • @cyrax1311 HDMI is definitely a higher bandwidth cable, however DVI is more than capable of driving an 1080p monitor. HDMI was created to carry full 1080p PLUS completely uncompressed sound for home theater applications. Uncompressed audio has a tremendously large data footprint and also drove the development of blu-ray discs. :D

  • @cyrax1311 There's no video quality difference. Only differences are higher resolutions and audio capabilities for HDMI. Neither really matter in surround.

  • Some SATA cables that aren't those ugly red ones would be nice.

  • the evga 570 supports 3 displays via the DP connector

  • 4 heatpipes turtle?

  • Awesome

  • go galaxy go...bring us the best of both amd and nvidia :D

  • what is references card?

  • @sankara87 a card that nvidia or amd makes and retails

it can be that companies like ASUS and MSI add a cooler to it and sell it

as long as the board is stock, its reference ;)

if their is a modification then it changes

imagine a normal car as a reference one

and a tuned car as a non reference one ;)

  • @sankara87 They look similar such as the cooler of the cover, the PCB and the backplate i/o (stock version). MSI GTX 550 Ti or 560 are not reference, due to its different cooler. EVGA 550ti or 560 are reference, as it is the same as Nvidia config.

  • Way to go Nvidia... only took like 5 years to catch up with multi-monitor on single card ;)

  • @lq4fcrx7 i remember running 2 monitors on a single 8500 gt like 4 years ago

  • @Stehv128 LOL ummm not talking about extended desktop. 5760x1080 resolution spanning across 3 or more monitors off of one card.

  • @lq4fcrx7 oh thats what you meant, lol for a second i thought i just had special cards.

  • @lq4fcrx7 I don't remember ATI having Eyefinity 5 years ago. Your clock seems to be broken.

  • Awesome, this unboxing was very interesting to me.

I happened to win the Galaxy GTX580 MDT card from the [H]ardOCP/Galaxy giveaway this past December and I'm extremely anxious for it to arrive... I have no word on when I should expect it though which makes the waiting even worse!

It's a good thing I subscribe to your channel Linus or I'd have no clue how to take it out of the package!

  • This just makes me wish I could upgrade my 460's to this... :[

  • @snipersean007 make a video out of it... lol

  • Personal rig upgrade video series!

  • warranty?

  • yut!, yut!, 4 heat pipes

  • What do you do with all the components you get?

  • @snipersean007 Repacks them and sells them as an opened-box product (so there's a discount).

  • @snipersean007 all are sent back and goes to someon else to try out for free

  • @snipersean007 he eats them

  • @snipersean007 Throw them out of the window...

  • @snipersean007 pass them on to other reviewers i think.

  • Comment removed

  • @snipersean007 sends them back once he is done, they are review units usually.

  • @snipersean007 He sells them on NCIX (dot) com. On the website, they sometimes have an option that says that its been open already.

  • @snipersean007 "Will it blend?" spin-off.

  • @snipersean007 sells them at the normal price lol , oor just puts them in ncix pc's

  • @snipersean007 he takes all of that for his own use.. Dnt give to anyone. Selfish guy!!!!!

  • @snipersean007 he sends it back.

  • @snipersean007 he works at NCIX. (Computer store) And when he has unboxed they will sell them at lower price.

  • @Viltzu2 That would explain why there is usually an open box for good quality components.

  • @snipersean007 send them back...

  • @snipersean007 He ships them to me,, LOL

  • @motherboardsorg u r a asshole old man....jk :)

  • @snipersean007 i think he boxes them back up and sells them at NCIX as an open box item i think

  • @snipersean007 put it back on the shelf?????????/

  • @snipersean007 Make computers to sell and make bank.

  • @snipersean007 Most of them are Review units and they have to send it back.

  • @snipersean007 Most likely sold as used by NCIX.

  • @hertzman5YT But I'm betting that it's sold as new.

  • @snipersean007 he sells them through his company

  • @snipersean007 I believe that he sells them as open box products at ncix

  • @snipersean007 i think he is a marketer advertiser person for NCIX i know he is tho

  • @snipersean007

I think he eats them. this is his food

  • i gotta go get some poptarts...

  • Please do a benchmark of this card.

  • @Matticitt Its gonna be the same as a normal gtx 570

  • well that's late to the party.

  • Just get two 580's in SLI (3gb versions). I can say from experience that they will not disappoint!

  • how come you don't review thermaltake products?

  • wat about that zotac 560 that supported 3 monitors.

  • It is obsolete!!

  • @launchsa How do YOU define obsolete?!?! This is a latest generation card and by no means obsolete.

  • @yogman10 Nvida & AMD are already releasing there next-gen architecture!

  • Linus when the asus rog xonar phoebus comes out can get an unboxing/reviw as fast as possible

  • They should make a sound card and a graphics card on pcb

  • fuck nvidia wait for the beast the 7990

  • @anone34 Dude stop with the fan boy ignorants. I'm a AMD guy i love AMD and will only buy AMD no matter how much faster Nvidia is. However i don't go around spreading the fanboyism. The two card makers go back and forth each year, one gen AMD will be on top and the next gen Nvidia. They go back and forth all the time like i said i don't go around spreading the fanboyism. Instead i enjoy the benefits of competitive pricing from the two. Look at Intel no competition and look what we have to pay

  • Keep it up!

  • I'm trying to win this...wish me luck

  • Yay supreme commander. ridiculously resource hogging game when it was released but well worth it.

  • if ndivia is skipping the GTX600 series, what should we expect of the GTX700 series?

  • MORE ON THE COSMOS II!!

  • I rather have my 7970s. But still a pretty cool card.

  • Linus = best there is, was, and ever will be.. You the man Linus.

  • lol Why did the time skip at 1:54?

  • @goofeewalden1 Pro editing skills

  • I already run 3 monitors with a SINGLE GTX 580... and a USB to VGA... very freakking cool... you can have up to 6 of those ^__^ I have videos on my channel :)

just search for single gtx 580 3 screens

  • who buy just one graphic card to power 3 displays? It makes no sense. Except gtx 590 there is no card which would make that without issues.

  • Did anyone else notice that the US and Canada links are exactly the same. LOL!

  • would be perfect if they would up the ram to at least 1.5gb

  • How are you getting on with your new GTX590?

  • It would only be $100 more to buy two 2.5gb VRAM EVGA 570s.

  • @BitfeNicks oh wow.

  • hi Linus...can you tell me a good graphics but cheap please

  • @untouchable1330 GTX 460 1gb is a great card on a budget. so is the GTX 550ti

  • @FranBunnyFFXII : The HD6850 is even better. I've been building budget rigs for clients, that this card smokes most of the equivalents at that price. The 550Ti is pretty solid too, though.

  • @untouchable1330 : GTX550Ti from NVidia, or HD6850 from AMD. Both cheap, but can run all the current games no problem.

  • I'll never understand why companies make cards like these. You're not going to get the best graphical quality if you're running 3 displays off of a single card. Not to mention the lack of vram.

  • @Vortex1988 Also, SLI sounds cooler!

  • @frestylezz Lol, you have to SLI in order to do surround properly, imo.

  • @Vortex1988 of course, or a GTX590 (which basically is SLI already, but yeah...)

  • @Vortex1988 because not everything is about graphical quality?

  • @sathos I just personally wouldn't run more than one monitor unless I had at least two GPUs in my system. I feel like most people who buy cards like this are going to be disappointed with their performance when they hook them up to three monitors.

  • I wanna try 3 monitors & see how it feel to play games on them...

  • looks awesome

  • A bit pointless now that the new generation of cards is almost there :/

  • The reason why I don't play with three monitors is because I hate the black gap between monitors and I can't afford it.

  • Playing with three monitors looks stupid anyways so I don't see the hype. Why? Because to me it makes more sense to have a monitor that's actually as wide as three monitors. Don't complain about price if you're going to be having a badass computer and three different monitors for one thing.

  • @cMARVEL360 The thing about the three monitors is that you can set them at an angle and make an enclosure around yourself, hence "surround". I also think you get higher resolutions using 3 monitors compared to one.

  • @AZNOriginal The last time i said what is aid someone told me that their only problem was coast. I've seen wide curved monitors and i think they only support high resolutions that is reqiured with three monitors. I personally just don't like the lack of one awesome unbroken picture.

  • why dosent nvidia do the same for every vidoecard out there

  • that would be perfect for me... if i didnt already have 2 460's ;p

  • Every single graphics card I wait the moment he says : can you see the heatpipes?

  • Review please.

  • wonder if this good for editing

  • this gard SUCKS!! minecraft is still in 8:bit :P

  • @MrSambam98 16bit.. Graphics, But can run at 64bit or 32bit os, and up to 512 bit gfx, i think

  • @RandomFountain Both of you are silly, Minecraft is 32 bit if your Java Runtime is 32-bit, and 64-bit if you have a 64-bit OS and 64-bit JRE.

  • @MrSambam98 This card is good. If minecraft really was an 8 bit application, you would not be able to run it on a modern PC without emulation.

  • @misternumberuno You'd need an Intel 8008 :D

  • check out this video..........

what to do with ur old pc......very creative

    /watch?v=e9gGVUVjv1o&feature=youtu.be

  • 3 gaming screen + 1 extra

hum sound like it is what pretty much every AMD cards can do

  • @Nagby3 He said that. Thanks for your input though.

  • OOOOHHH look at this, the radeon fanboy is trying soooo hard to make a review about a GTX 570 sound exciting!

  • @Nethandral Linus, a radeon fanboy? He has a gtx 590 in his custom build.

  • Heh hh ... Common ,,its support many monitor for gaming .LOL !!

  • Personal rig in progress Linus

dont spend your time on video cards

  • @overcklockangel7 what did you mean?

  • @overcklockangel7 but a graphics card is very important?

  • Beast GPU! Beast GPU price:(

  • We sell these at work. We have gotten many returned because they do not work well for games. Works fine for the day-trader guys that want as many screens as they can get though.

  • NVIDIA EYEFINITY!!!!

    LOL

  • @misternumberuno

    that's what it is =P
