My apple Mac Book broke down after just one year of use. I thought it was a great machine a it cured me of my deep loathing of computers but now I don't have the courage to buy another one.

They told me I was stupid to expect it to last longer. I did not take out the insurance because I thought that Macs where supposed to be good quality. The repare bill was going to be more than it cost to buy a new one.

just wanted to let everyone know. The whole 13.5 inch screen is BULLSHIT. Ever notice the really huge border around your macbook screen? Well that's so they can call it 13.5, but really it's only a tiny bit smaller than the 15 inch! They purposefully made your screen smaller so they could call it 13.5, but really it's like a 14 or 14.5! It's totally a scam and I love apple but it's shit like this that totally makes me angry. I have a fourteen inch computer with a 13 inch screen. BULLSHIT.

I'm seriously wanting one of these. I have a dual 2.7 Ghz PPC G5 but want to get rid of these PPC Macs I have and go x86. However, I'm gonna wait for the MacBook to go quadcore, upgrade to 256 MB on the graphics, and switch to the LED backlit screen.  All of which I speculate will happen within the next 12 months or so.

It's VERY easy to switch to a mac. AND theres a program on the Mac called BootCamp where you can still run windows so pretty much you don't have to change anything really!
