@BlackRoseDragon14 Hmm, I don't think that you'll have much say about where they'll place you. Maybe you can mention a city? maybe, but probably not schools. They have requirements for the schools, and I think that they like working with schools that they've worked with in the past. But I'm not too sure.

Plus is the plane ride fun or just plain boring a little curious for that lol and my friend keeps saying you have too pay for the whole thing like the plane ride is it true?
@PockyPrincess4589 Well, you'll be sitting with the other kids on the program and you'll probably be talking to them. But it is a 13-ish hour flight, so you'll probably be sleeping for some parts of the ride. You won't be too bored (: (at least, I wasn't) AND NO. This is a fully paid scholarship! Sponsored by the government, all you have to pay for is your passport, any vaccination that you think you need, and pocket money for the time abroad.

And yes, that will definitely help you (: Honestly, I don't remember any other than the ones that I (think) I mentioned in the video (I don't watch my videos after I upload them lol). And in the links, there are threads where people give MANY examples of questions that were asked in past years. Oh, and pay attention to the questionnaire that they will give you before the interview! There's a good chance, they'll ask you stuff from that.
I had an internet malfunction and never submitted my teacher application. How much does this hurt my chances?! NSLI-Y told me if i am picked as a semi finalist , only then can i submit my teacher recommendation.
@uuukkjj If you explained it to NSLI-Y then you should be okay. As far as I know, the essays are what they really judge you on. If they said that you can submit it later, then don't worry too much!
omg i am sooo sad! this is my second year applying to NSLI-Y and i want to get in sooo bad because i was rejected last year! but i just realized that i accidentally added an extra word that did not belong in my short answer to describe my choice of language and duration, i put "I will begin college in next fall" i am like freaking out! :( do u think it will really affect my chances? i still can't believe i didn't notice even after reading it a thousand times!
@JENxRawr Aww, I hate when that happens! But don't worry, it's not a big deal! I didn't even notice it at first, so there's a good chance that the reader will not even notice. And if he/she does, meh! It won't hurt your chances! I hope you make it! ^^
