Surf Spot Ixia overview - Rhodes, Greece

I have just returned from Ixia. Had the most fabulous holiday there. Really warm water and great waves (well at least when I was there!). The Greek people were awsome

You're probably be dissapointed in ixia to surf with a board only. You will have much better waves on the east of the island but only if the wind blows from the east. This however happens very seldom.

I'm going here in august 2011 ! I was wondering if the waves are big enough to surf with just a board ! Please say they are : D cheers

i'm going at that spot 4 years now only when the wind is 100% north and the waves are too choppy.

do not use the term "surf" for kiteboarding, they are two completely different sports, good vid anyway.
