KibaInuzuka180 is right. Save the Kid and then go to him and resusitate him. The cop will recognise you but he will let you walk away.

and i know what's next, you get up to the kid, and you get two choices. listen to his heart, or perform CPR. i always save the kid. the cop lets you go if you do.

You save the kid then go up to him then make him start breathing again not just stand there

Fore some reason, when I open the door to her office (8:29), the first time only, it LAGS horribly. It takes about five minutes to get into the room, but every other time I open it it runs perfectly.

This has happened on every playthrough I've done.

I think that after you save the kid you are supposed to run away.........

Apparently you're supposed to walk up to the kid and give him CPR, and then the cops will let you leave just like that. But in any case, he didn't move.

That is correct the cop cant bring himself to arrest you if you save him
