Fighting and defending your own soil is one thing, but as soon as you leave it to fight about something else even related to that, the cause might be lost and the deeds done already wrong. What once might have been a noble cause can turn into an honorless series of murder while both sides cheer for their heroes. All we fight about is based on some type of depence on something, money, resources, you name it. If we could learn to be happy with what we got, there would be far less reson to fight.
In my opinion, Peace would be a good thing to have, but unfortunatley we're in the middle of a war right now and it's not like everyone can just put down their guns and go home. What's done is done, you just have to live it out..
