i would pay lots of money to see this and its here for free so massive thanks for posting it.i saw mr ricci play this in london and it all looked and sounded very easy for this genius just as it does here.its a shame he had to play with such a crap orchestra and conductor whilst all the charlatans and pretty girls get to play with the good orchestras but there you go.how mr ricci isnt shaken by these amateurs whilst playing all those notes is a miracle but it just shows how on top of it he is.
Thank you for this video. I must say that you shall listen to Franco Gulli lives recording in the 60's. He plays the 1st and the 5th concerto. That's really amazing
@Meno0583 I know...I've heard them! Gulli was from the Sevcik school. Very precise player. He and Ricci were good friends and were Jurors together at the Queen Elizabeth Competition.
Ruggiero play's so naturally...it's just plain easy for him! He is the "best" of the best & that's why I've posted these video's of his playing. The younger generation of violinists need to hear his unique style & technique, the closest to Paganini's in my opinion.
