Well.. first, the box was created in like 18th century France by a toymaker named Philip LeMarchand. It's a gateway to hell, and it summons the cenobites, beings who practice an extreme form of sadomasochism. Whoever opens the box is taken to hell and subjected to their own idea of pleasure, which involves a lot of body modification, mutilation, etc. Pinhead is created sometime later. He was a captain in the British army during World War I, and sought out the box due to his depression from

However, to an unstable person, a horror movie could be a suggestion or worse, a blueprint or encouragement to do something like that or similar to someone. I truthfully don't see the Cenobites deriving any sexual pleasure from what they do. There is pleasure, no doubt, but I don't see it as sadistic sexual pleasure.
