  • Bear E Man Hill O?! That's like something Karl Pilkington would come out with! ROCKBUSTERS!

  • when they show the cars it looks like a junkyard

  • wow once she said it i could sound it out lol...this is nice...my first time seeing it

  • At 4:12 - 4:15: the typical "Yeah, woo, woo" heard during many NBC game shows in the '80s.

  • another show i miss they need to bring this fun house and scrabble back these are my childhood shows

  • Hmm... I guess she really didn't want that necklace... ?

  • Klady-Hic Concentration! LOL

  • Trebek said crocket set at 8:33?

  • Wow ... Alex was the "ladies man" even in 1988. Asking the flight attendant if she's married, then if she has a boyfriend, then complimenting her on her beauty. Classic thinkin' with his dick!

  • @tritonrocks wow really I didn't know that I just though he was perfectly normal

  • I'm old enough to remember Jack Narz's version of Concentration as well. My mother and I both used to complain to one another that Trebek was the one who chatted a bit too much during the game, and it broke the contestants' ability to concentrate. That's why so often it seemed they had to do a "speed up" round too. You'd think with all the talking and reading he had to do on "Jeopardy!" that he'd be a bit quieter on this show and not "yack yack yack yack" so much!

  • This was my favorite game show when I was 5. Memories.

  • It has the fancy Hollywood graphics and effects, but couldn't hold a lighted match to NBC's original show or the early years if the Jack Narz version. 25 numbers instead of 30, the idiotic "red and green" takes, dumbed-down puzzles, unnecessary play-by-play by contestants, and its remake into a speed game tuned out many long time Concentration fans and home players. There's no way it would have run for 15 years, as the original Concentration did in a much more competitive era before cable TV.

  • THANK U for your posts of this show. I really really was into this show as a kid in the summer of 1988!!! I even bought with my allowance a computer game version of this! LMAO

  • the only annoying thing about this version of the game is the way the players like to pre-empt what is behind the squares, by telling the computer "i'd like to find a match for that" or i'd like to find a wild card under number 17"

like as if a computer is going to listen to them!

  • i laughed when she said "shit..."

  • This is my favorite intro to "Classic Concentration," mainly because of the way Gene said "eight FABULOUS cars!"

  • Is that Alex Trebec?

  • Lady passes on a sure pearl necklace? Spoke too soon.

  • Actually, 10:12 shows that they her list has all nine prizes on the board.

  • Her side of the board lists all nine prizes.

...Apparently I've forgotten how to form sentences. ;-)

  • Stan is just... wow. Even I wouldn't do that badly. >_>

  • This is Matt Lauer's Favorite Game Show.

  • it's his favorite dress... he wore it the other day!lolrofl f'n alex

  • she didnt even seem excited when she solved it,, lol

  • omg young alex trebek haha

  • i love the cars! they look so crappy now..

  • When did they change Alex's enterance?

  • @Hondo20132 March 1988 was when Alex started making his entrance from the Bottom of the Stairs Also Alex Started having Problems with his legs which made him change his entrance.

  • I can never be good at this game, lol.

  • Monica was too eager to guess "Classic Concentration," (K+LASS+HIC CON+CENT+TRAY+SHIN), because she didn't just studied the puzzle, but she was serious in keeping each and every prize she matched. Now, I don't know how much her prize package came to, but what I knew was that on the show, several contestants during its 4 season run, made more than 6 prizes, solved the puzzle and won!!

  • 7:44 I can swear to god she whispers out "Oh, shit!" to herself....anyone else agree? Good tense round, though! I would of liked to see the retail of how much the CD Player she won was...prolly worth 500 bucks lol...now they're not even five bucks barely for a cheap one!

  • Yep, I heard that, too.

  • 0:14-- Is that a Yugo?

  • yup lol that whip is ballin man

  • She took the CD player over the vacation.

If that doesn't date this video, don't know what does.

  • thats stupid fuck couldn't remember where the new york vacation was and he picked it twice before!!

  • Darn NBC for not letting any network, let alone GSN, repeat this show. I always thought that it was a good game show, even though I saw it when NBC repeated it.

  • Watch it..I can easily get tough if people like you disrespect me.

  • Can you post the clip where Scott wins a car in 59.99 seconds?

  • What was The 2nd Puzzle?

  • That was a particularly evil puzzle. I didn't get it until near the end. :(

  • This was kinda like using "Wheel of Fortune" as a puzzle solution, on WOF itself.

  • wow i didnt know that rebus was a gameshow

    k+lass+hic

    con+cent+tray+chin

  • It was 1989 that Trebek started waering the specs on J!, b/c there was a promo somewhere w/ him behind the podium w/ the specs and a light yellow-whitish spotlight behind the "O" on the show's title logo on the set.

  • This is from 1987, because there was only one take in September 1987 then The Red take came in November 1987.

  • Can we see the Full Episode?

  • Like how they opened "You Don't Say!" with the celebrities' names. Yeah, that would work!

  • Did she screw herself out of that last prize?

  • I don't think so. She had 7 prizes at 9:10, with only two left. By the end, she had 9.

  • No Alex said the last prize would be a surprise. So she'd get it and find out what it was when the won prizes were read to her.

  • Stan has the memory of a piece of toast.

  • All I can say is, WHAT A PUZZLE!

  • How Come Alex doesn't wear glasses on this show?

  • He only wears them on Jeopardy!.

  • I don't believe Alex even wore glasses on "Jeopardy!" until sometime in the 90s.

  • 1988.

  • Alex also wore glasses when he was hosting To tell the truth so maybe he needs them to read.

  • And on To Tell the Truth 1990s as well.

  • I think the reason why Alex never wore his glasses on Classic concentration but on Jeopardy and To tell the truth was because the camera could have focused the board in a way where he wouldn't need them to read.

  • Did she say shit at 7:45?

    lol

  • My thoughts exactly.

  • Monica's name reminds me of the only champion to win more than 2 cars.
