Not me, I was stateside USCG, but yes I was referring to 3rd Cav 4th squadron which is known as the Longknife squadron. Once upon a time, in the latter part of the American Revolutionary War, down to and during the War of 1812, the term was used to designate Americans.
Native Americans used to call white ppl 'long-knives'
