Still, I don't get how everybody rips on this game and applauds Silent Hill's gameplay. I mean, it was fresh when it came around, but still. I'm sure the gameplay is similar to the Silent Hill series. I think a lot of people "ride" the bandwagon and are all behind the hype of a game. Before you bring up the fact that since it's 2011, it's outdated, I'd like to say that a game shouldn't be judged on it being dated or not but on the experience itself..

@beeyotch23 This should in no way be compared to Silent Hill in my opinion. I am a huge fan of the Silent Hill series and when I purchased this game, I thought they'd be similar but they aren't. I mean, the controls are very hard to get used to and combat is awful. It starts off fine, though. Maybe you should buy it yourself to see how it is. But...I wouldn't recommend that anyone get this, lol. Seriously.

People still complain about the lack of weapons in a Survival Horror... Someone needs to remeber what genre he is playing. If you were able to kill everything it wouldn't be survival, would it? Also, yes, gameplay is clunky, but really, he did not figure out that there might be some blood on the corpse inside the train the radar keeps pointing him to?

It looks like the problem with the radar is that they didnt program it to move with the camera like most games do. instead it moves with the charatcer, so you have to always position the camera directly behind her. which is bullshit.

I don't get why everyone has so much trouble with the blood scanner. It was obvious where all the blood was just by fucking walking toward each point on the radar. Duh, it's in the train. Duh, it's in the building with the dead bodies. Duh, it's back where you found marcello, etc.

The radar goes by which direction your character is facing, not your camera. "It's going in circles" cause you're going in circles.

Ten seconds after the radar turned on I figured out how it worked just by experimenting a little with the controls... the kind of thing anyone who has played more than one video game knows to do.

And it's not about memorizing locations of stuff, it's about having enough mental acuity to figure out that when the radar blip is pointing inside a building/train that you need to go inside the building/train. How is it hard to do that?

This is a well-designed game: it introduces most of the gameplay mechanics covertly and drops plenty of hints and then expects you to have the observation skills and mental capacity to figure out what to do.

It reminds me of a game that came out in 2007 that had a stalker element, where you had to complete missions while a zombie stalked you. I can't remember the title for the life of me.
