Personally Josh has to be the strongest,in levitation here has 2 hits of 500 (around 200 attack) normal Jesus beam,and 3 hits of 1500 Jesus Beam+.His lv3 fusion does a whopping 7000 x.x!!!!

i know how to do it:

first give josh items that will expand his combo in midair. in battle make him levitate and lock on to one enemy. to activate the super jesus beam you have to do a branch that has 6 or more combos. when you get to the number/ the final blow in the combo it releases the beam. but this only works when you focus attacking on one enemy

To exactly do this, it depends on how many enemies there are that he's attacking. Let's say that, joshua is attacking 2 enemies on one side. You'll have to do 6 per noise. So that means you'll have to do 12 commands. Just choose the side that has less noise.

I really like this game, but I just can't seem to do fusions besides lvl 1. I can't move on the bottom screen and then look at the top screen to move in other directions. I usually just press left when I see an enemy on the left, and right for on the right.

It is really hard for me to switch to the other cards in the button thing. Any suggestions?

When you need to, focus on the top screen. Make neku run around so enemys can't hit him, and take the button thing slowly if you can.

A good way to get used to this battle system is to just follow the light puck. Follow whoever has it and juggle back and forth. once you do that awhile you get used to it, it took me a while too lol

I was in the same situation as you for forever, then one day I got really bored and leveled up a bunch. so now, if I leave Neku alone and don't do anything he's perfectly fine. You can use Monkey Leisure and Peace Full at the same time if you need more health.

or chain link a small battle and max out 3 fusion before fighting a boss, if you want the boss's items. can't chain link if you're trying to clear secret reports. >:

Just so everyone knows, to get this you have to get Zephyr's Sonata and Pi Face's Jeans(abilities unlocked) for the long combo branch.

Also, you need to be targeting only 1 enemy for this to work, which is why this move gets rid of drake noises QUICK :P

not really. you can either use joshua and keep spamming until the enemies die or use beat and kill them quick. more damage is better than many attacks.

example, it would take beat 5 hits to kill some noise but it takes joshua 10 hits.

You don't have to give Josha "weak" items, you only really need to give you "Zephyr's Sonata" to give him more panels/branches. The others or pretty much optional; "others" that could be strong items such as the angel feather (not the actual name but that's what it resembles), Mr. Mew suit, Liberty Duke,etc.

Now first off I tottaly agree on Beat being better but you don't have to give Josh a bunch of crappy items, if you give him Pi Face's Jeans he will be just fine. In fact all of Pi Face's items work well for Josh.

Press up on the d-pad then let auto take over. Josh'll repeatedly use it until he gets knocked down by an enemy attack. Just repeat. Going further through the branches (up AND along) makes it stronger.
