  • I WANT WHAT HE'S ON. SERIOUSLY!

  • "AHH! This math is lovely! lets do something else!......lovely?" best part

  • I understand

  • Thank you so much! Even did the unit conversions that my teacher requires. Awesome!

  • You are the man. Thank you

  • Love the way he said at the end "It makes good sense.... It's suppose to" xD LOL I admire his enthusiasm

  • I have just started my alevels, and my teacher wanted to kick me of the course, because i didnt understand moles. and moles always comes up in the exams. After watching your video, WOW YOU HAVE HELPED, GOD BLESS YOU, AND THAT MAGNIFICENT BRAIN YOU HAVE. i will shock my teacher in mt next test. AND LAUGH IN HER FACE :)

  • @MissAddictedtoBeauty Don't be mean. Just smile!

    Chemguy

  • Thanks! I'm studying abroad and i don't understand my chemistry teacher so this helps a lot!

  • I cant find junior chemistry The mole 2 , is this it?

  • @999anonymosym Go to my website!

    Chemguy

  • sir, u r a beautiful teacher : ) 2 yrs i had been struggling through this, u got me through. thnx a ton

  • Thanks! I love this guy!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH I ONLY JUST GOT MOLES!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU

  • u made chem look so easy

i am goin to drop it next year since

BUT if u teach me for the summer holiday and the net year (year 11) i wont

  • You are so much better than my chem teacher! ! !

  • That wasn't beautiful... it was real ugly but the important thing is that I got it in the end... Thanks Chemguy

  • You've essentially taught for me 20-30 minute lessons that I can understand clearly what I couldn't get all year with my current Chemistry teacher.

Will definitely donate when I get the chance, thank you very much :)

  • I should be a pro in mole stuff after watching this :) Thanks.

  • thank you for making this so much clearer :)

  • Thank you! I was having a lot of trouble understanding how to convert backwards like from atoms to moles etc.. but since i watched this video i get it!

  • The periodic table in my school textbook has rounded up numbers of the relative atomic mass. Are those values acceptable in National / International examinations?

  • @shahid1vio1love You'll get tables on those exams, with molar masses. Just use those!

    Chemguy

  • @bannanaiscool hi chemguy u rock! but in my school textbook 1 mole is 6X10^23 not 6.02 should i use that? Btw im from singapore so not sure about the different country stuff

  • @ricestube its the way your book left off the decimal places, 6 x10^23 is fine :p. its just the rounded form of 6.02.

  • wow, did u memorized the atomic mass of each element?!!?

  • I can't find the second video to this

  • @drmshake Search Junior Chemistry The Mole 2 and it's the first one. Its like K something.

  • I wish I'd got him as my chem teacher

  • Thank you thank you thank you for your wonderful contribution to mankind. YOU are the unsung hero. Makes me sick to think of athletes & celebrities we shower with glory while people like you toil in anonymity. Our values are so out of whack, I don't know if there's any hope for us, but keep fighting the good fight Chemguy!

  • thnx u seem to be enjoying teaching

    good job man thnx

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome videos--- is there no Mole 2 video?

  • I didnt understand anything :S

  • @omadbaba Keep trying! Don't give up!

    Chemguy

  • @omadbaba LMAO! XDDDD

  • One can tell you sure do have a passion for chemistry. I tried studying my textbook but I couldn't understand ,so I came on youtube and found your channel. It can say, It has helped me tremendously.

  • so i have an exam in chemistry and the teacher does not know how to teach. so i go on you tube the day right before my exam and I understood more in one video than the whole semester... thank you so much..

  • Bloody brialliant mate!

  • where can i recommend this guy to teach at my school

  • When I punch it in in my calculator just like this

(5.5/ 55.85) x (6.02x10*23) I get 5.9x10*23 how is it that you got 10*22 with your answer did you just round it down one cause 5.5 is less then a mole? or am I doing something wrong with the way I punch it in?

  • u kickass

  • haha ur my favorite teacher.

this are the best examples ive ever seen thnx. tmmrw i got a big test god thnks i got lucky to found yew.

    ur the best

  • Thank you so much for all of your videos, I'm a Biology major and I was completely baffled with Chemistry until NOW :

  • you should go be a teacher. or a tutor or something. because tons of people have been trying to get moles through my head. and you just make sound so simple. thank you. thank you. thank youu.

  • @extraalegit6994 I've been a teacher for 28 years! But thanks for encouragement!

    Chemguy

  • thanks for these videos! but where is mole 2?

  • thanks for these videos! but where is mole 2?

  • Your ability to teach to an audience behind the camera is superior to my chem teacher's ability to teach to a class. :) I FINALLY understand the dang Mole. Thanks so much! I'm totally recommending you to the rest of my classmates!

  • CHEMGUY--I LOVE YOU

  • this was so much help!!!!

i dont want to be mean towards my teacher but... please take her spot please this stuff is great and you actually make it fun! thank you chem guy!

  • I hve a test on thus stuff tomorrow and u helped me understand it thanx:)))))))!!!!!

  • You were 10x more helpful than my teacher explaining this. Thanks a lot. I think ill do fine on my mole exam today now :)

  • thank you for helping me score 78% on my test

  • those numbers says something different in my periodic table...:/

  • I love your unique style of teaching!!!

  • I love your unique style of teaching!!!

  • I LOVE your teaching! not to mention your unique style..... Chemguy rocks!

  • Helped me tremendously. Just one tip; I would have appreciated it even more if you had worked out the math in front of me instead of just setting up the equation.

  • skipped school to learn what was on the test today, and out of everything that was found on google, nothing was even a fraction of the help you gave. thank you very much, i probably will get an A

  • @akathecoolist Well, please don't skip school! I'm glad to help, of course.

    Chemguy

  • @bannanaiscool... was sick, and will keep that in mind.

  • Got nothing to say but YOU'RE THE BEST!forreal!

  • I think if you explain that equation using the formula could be easier to understand. :)

    n=Ms/M 2.6g/136.28g mol^-1=1.9x10^2

Btw. Do you know what does M stand for in this case?

  • @timmotytimmoty Oh brother. You see, this is exactly what I am against. You think what you wrote here is easier to understand? Are you asking me what M is because you don't know???!!!! Yikes!

Why don't you just do it the way I'm teaching it and save yourself the grief. You need to UNDERSTAND what you're doing, and not just memorize some useless formula.

    Love,

    Chemguy

  • @bannanaiscool Amazing! Respect.

  • Dude you are AWESOME

  • Due You are AWESOME

  • wow, when you asked the iron atoms question i voluntarily paused the video and i got it right! i have never done a chemistry problem that willingly!!

  • I love you man. I have a girlfriend but wow. You helped so much! My teacher could never explain it clearly to me.

  • Very helpful, can't learn anything from my teacher

  • i wish u were my teacher, YOUR THE BEST!!!!!

  • When doing multiple step calculations, like finding the percentage composition of a mineral, do you round up in the intermediate calculations, or do you keep that which is on the calculator until the final answer?

Thank you very much for these videos. :)

  • @norez12 Generally, round at the very end, keeping all digits until then! That's not necessarily the right or best way, but it is standard practice for many.

    Chemguy

  • Thank you. Great video

  • CHEM GUY, btw it's 500.8 not 500.7 :P

  • thanku so much!!!

  • Thank you very much sir! I have a test coming up on this stuff and you helped me get a better understanding of it!

  • You have accomplished what my chem teacher has been trying to do for 4 weeks in 30 mins. Than You so much wished you were my teacher =]

  • THANK YOU CHEMGUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Glad to see a teacher with your kind of enthusiasm. Fortunately my chem teacher had your enthusiasm aswell! Too bad these video's wern't around when I was studying. Glad they are here now, need to revise before going to Uni. Also

Glad you lost the moustache in the later videos! Kinda hard to take you seriously with that :)

  • Yeah, it was time...

    Chemguy

  • you make this fun why can u be my teacher?! why man why?! i learn even more with u!!

  • @akshan2 i agree lol

  • you are the sole reason i am going to pass my exam next week.

i will most def make a donation once i get paid :]]

  • in six minutes youve explained what ive been struggling a week to understand! thankyou SO much! Our teacher gave us A formula for this and it made it SO much harder than it needed to be! this REALLY cleared things up!!!! thanks again!!!

  • I feel so enlightened!

    I love Chemguy!

    maybe ill pass now :)

  • wow. you just helped me so much. i thought i would never understand.

  • same here. my chem teacher sucks so now im ready for finals tomorrow

  • THANK YOU! im so going to pass the quarter test!

  • you make chemistry so much easier to understand, I study for exams with your videos its awesome

  • Instead of listening to my boring chemistry teacher, I watch your videos instead! They make a lot more sense than my teacher. Thank you!! :)

  • It's a two stepper lol, you rock Chemguy!

  • i wish you were my teacher =]

  • haha Chemguy your so enthusiastic I love it. It actually keeps me so interested. You're great at explaining things and you have a bunch of very lucky students!

    Thankyou!

  • Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos. I am in a block Honors Chemistry class, so I have to do a years worth of Chemistry in one semester. We have a quiz every day on a new topic, and I always seem to fall behind because I cannot comprehend what my teacher is trying to explain so quickly. I have gone home and watched your videos on the topics every night, and it has been so helpful to me.

    I really appreciate it!

  • thanks i have a chemistry quiz tommorow

    looooool 1:20 to 1:23

  • you rock.

  • Wow, thank you so much! All three of your videos on Moles were so helpful! Lately I have made some pretty bad grades on my chemistry tests because I just was not understanding what a mole was. They did not make any sense to me, but thanks to you I now know what a mole is and can move on in my understanding of chemistry. THANK YOU!

  • Thank you so much!! I may actually do well on my Chem test tomorrow.

  • Wow thanks, your teaching method is legendary! I probably learned more about mole and molar mass in 6 minutes than I did in a whole class session.

  • Hi there is something with STP and RTP?? do you have more vids on moles?

  • Check out Gases. STP is explained. RTP? Can't help you there, unless you mean SATP, and that's in Gases, too!

    Chemguy

  • Sorry.

    Chemguy

  • do u teach bio and human bio

  • amazing c:

  • Helped me refresh the mole in college chemistry. you did a wonderful job, thanks bannanaiscool(??) guy!

  • I'm a college freshman who's falling behind on Chemistry because I've never understood "moles"... BUT NOW I DO! SO thank you so much for this video!!

  • Chemguy you make it so much easier than it really is.

  • thank you so much !! you make me understand !! :D

  • ok ive been lost on this topic since i started..i dont understand what my teacher is talking about and he is explaining it in a different way from you Chemguy and its confused me on yours to.. i really need help or im in big trouble for my GCSE exam.."/

  • YOU MAKE ME SO HAPPY ^_^

  • you're awesome.

  • MAN he makes it so fun. I wish he was my professor.

  • Ah it makes good sense!

    It supposed to!

    LOL

  • Thanks so much! I haven't taken chemistry since my sophomore year in high school and i have been watching these videos to help me with a chem placement exam for my freshmen year in college. These videos have been such a help. thanks again!!!!!

  • your explanation is very easy to understand..... congrats....

  • You're actually better than my Chem teacher Chemguy..

    I have a question..

In 1:26 shouldn't be the denominator be 136.36 and not 136.28?

    Zn: 1x65.38=65.38

    Cl: 2x35.49=70.98

    then 65.38+70.98=136.36..

amm.. am i right? or there are some explanations? thank you!

  • Wrong molar mass for Cl on your part, my friend. 35.45. Zn is now 65.39 as well...

    Chemguy

  • omg thank you so much! I never understood how to do this before and when I watched this it all just clicked in my head! thank you thank you thank you :)

  • lmao i was about to ask questions to my computer XD

  • Chem Guy,

Can you do some more harder Moles, Molar Masses and Grams calculations? Like... How many moles of H in H2O, etc. How many grams of H in H2O?

    Thanks.

  • No, no! That molar mass is not 4 sig digs and cannot be written as 253.8. It has 5 sig digs; that last zero is significant...it is the last numeral that represents the uncertain value in that entire number. That zero means something! If a trailing zero is present, that means it's there for a reason!

    Chemguy

  • I think its amazing that you take the time out of your day to help others where you are strong. I know I speak for all of us when I say thanks a lot man

  • thanks man i got it u ROCK

  • It makes beautiful sense! Chemguy FTW! w00t! :D

  • hahahah "lovely"

  • don't need no formulas now:P

  • Yay! I understand now!

  • AHHH I LOVE YOUUUUUU

  • thank you chemguy :)

keep up with ur amazing tutorials!

  • why is this guy making more sense than my teacher lol....i have a test tomarow and i feel more confident learning from this dude..THANK YOU!!!

  • omg...thank u thank thank u...this has realllyy helped me alot. i wish u were my teacher....keep up the good work. THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!

  • very helpful. thanks a lot.

  • i got a test next monday so this better stick in my head.. i just dont remember the formulas!! ahh, moles to grams easy, grams to atoms, atoms to moles wat the?

  • I love u =)

  • Thank u so much sir I learn wat I want to learn from u!! Thank you very mcuh Sir!

  • Great techniques man! Great video.! Please continue making tutorials like this.

  • pleas continue to do a terrific job and if talk to other chemistry teacher teach them how to teach

    thank you very much!!!

  • You have my vote for nobel peace prize!!! yipieee!!!

  • You saved my life!

  • This is exactly what I needed

My Chemistry teacher has been ranting about moles for about a month now and I only scarcely understood it until your videos.

    Thank you so much :D

  • thanks a bunch, this really helps for my quiz tomorrow!

  • You help me to understand chemistry, you explain things better than my teachers and english is not even my mother language! i m Greek ! So thanks and Greetings from Greece !

  • I have been stumped by my college chem professor. You saved my life :D

  • What i would do to have a chem teacher like him!!!!! Amazing job.

  • OMG!!!!!!

    i get it!!!!

    i could cry!!!!!

your 6.02x10^23 times better than my chemistry teacher!!!!!

  • AMAZING JOB!!

    KEEP IT UP

  • CHEMGUY YOUR ARE AMAZING!!!

My teacher definitely does not teach as well as you do! He'll go on for an hour and i still dont get it, and he never gets to the point. Thank you sooo much for doing this! It helps sooo much!

  • thank you so much. i was lost, and my test is tomorrow, but i finally figured it out thanks to this

  • Thank you for making these videos! I've sat puzzled in college chemistry, and now I actually understand.

  • ok i totally agree with jake u taught me this in 3 simple vids that my teacher rants about for 40 mins and i have no clue thanks so much really!

  • Wow you just taught me in 30 minutes what my chemistry teacher has failed to teach me in all of sophomore year. THANKS!!!

  • i love this guy

  • lolvely?

    lool

    =))

  • You are so much more helpful than my chem teacher..thx for posting that..really gonna help me on the tests. Keep it up

  • yay he's Canadia =)

    he said zed lol

  • Man I love your teaching. Easy to follow and fun to listen to! Thanks for clarifying this concept of mole conversions.

  • Ei chemguy thanks alot for the info

my teacher doesn't even teach with that kind of enthusiasm. Please continue teaching chemistry.. and can you please give harder problems for our teacher is terrorizing us with many hard items in our tests. Thanks alot and Good luck

  • You are seriously the best teacher I know! My chemistry teacher didn't even teach us, she just skimmed through it and expected us to learn (weirdly some people did). Your are awesome! I'd rather have to take 30 minutes to learn this than have to sit through a whole chemistry class because I wouldn't understand. I understand all about moles now!

    You most appreciated student, Me.

  • Awesome! So, much easier to understand! Please keep 'em up!

  • Just look up chemguy and solutions!

    Chemguy

  • thank you! but what about concentration in a solution?
