Bogarts face after "Well, what did you expect?!" and his comment "You could've STARVED!!" is so full of pain and horror. It is a very good movie, hope noone expect light entertainment...Superb acting on all sides.

This is a great movie, I don't think the trailer quite does it justice. In my opinion, better than Angels with Dirty Faces. The story was so well told and it all came together at the ending.

This trailer is from the re-issue but still great. The billing remained as originally contracted but the ads and posters emphasized Bogart who was by then was a super star.

A must-see movie for any cinema fan. Great acting and gripping scenes. Wish this clip showed next few seconds after Marjorie Main slapped Bogart.
