Born in 1970, from Rathcoole, loved the twelfth on Royal Avenue. I remember the Rathcoole Kai being banned from marching on the 12th in 81/82. And then I was old enough to realise what a bunch of hoods they were. And they were bigger than this band, I know I played a flute up until 85. But at the end of the day, gotta love each other. I always liked Catholic girls:)

weve had bigger bands than that theres us shankill protestant boys and on whiterock parade 2011 we had 25 drummers and 50 flutes and 6 bass drummers and so yeah there lyk 15 bands bigger...

I reckon a lot are just band members for the day, wearing a white shirt, whereas the CPB's have a crest on their backs and the name on the front.

Those that are CPB should at least try and get a uniforn if it means just going down to Primark and buying the same colour trousers, the collection of jeans make them look like shabby.

Biggest flute band ever to march im told was on the Shankill road years ago...there was hundreds of flutes and hundreds of drummers as well.

I know a guy who has pictures of it....not sure what the event was for.

the biggest band we (spb) have walked with was on whiterock day about 4-5 years ago we had 6 colour party 25 drum`s

5 base drummers 50 flutes.....and prob about 12-15 leaders by the time everyone threw thier sons and nephews and nieghbours wee lads and whatever other kids had an spb t-shirt in front of us

The biggest is Shankill Protestant Boys, have around 9 rows of full fluters and maybe 5 rows of drummers when out on parade. about 5 bass drummers a colour party of 6/7 and 2/3 staff boys along with a few others.
