Both parents need to be a citizen only when the child is born outside of the USA, like McCain was when he was born in Panama. Obama was born in Hawaii, which was a state in the US at the time of his birth. Any child born on US soil is a natural born citizen, regardless of his parents. Read the Naturalization Act of 1790 and learn something.

The issue at hand is NATURAL BORN CITIZEN STATUS.

There is a BIG difference. Fact of the matter is that in order to be natural born, you have to be born on US soil AND BOTH PARENTS must be US citizens. Regardless of birthplace (which is still unknown), Obama still FAILS with BOTH Parents! Mother was not of legal age to transmit citizenship, and Father was a Kenyan subject to UK authority. Whether or not this nation fails to uphold the const is yet another issue.

Well, since you already HAVE researched it, then post the relevant part of that reference which covers "NATURAL BORN" citizen status. Clearly you are not familiar with the difference between "Nationalized", "Naturalized", and "NATURAL BORN". Even IF he was Natural Born (which he was not), he forfeited that status when he went to Indonesia as a child, becoming a citizen there under his father. Indonesia does not allow dual citizenship.

If we cannot uphold one part of the constitution, then the entire document is worthless.

The FACT that our elected leaders and appointed judges are unwilling to uphold the constitution is clear evidence of how FAR we have fallen from the principles and values established by the founding fathers.

@texashusker34 Where ever there is injustice that threatens the Constitution we must tackle it. The issue is now being scheduled in Supreme court by Col. Gregory Hollister. Now they are sorting the fact that Hollister doesn't want the two justices that Obama appointed to preside over the case. your right that it may not be effective but no one can say they didn't try. If it is tried and fails at least we will have an official record and we will see what tactics were used.

Obama claims on his web site to be a "NATIVE born citizen" not a Natural born one. His own web site says it. The law requires him to be a Natural Born, not Native born. The legal terms have completely different meanings. He knows it, he was a constitutional law graduate / teacher right? Check for yourself.

The constitution contains many terms which are not defined... but the founding fathers knew what they meant as should we all. Try doing some research on the meaning "Natural Born Citizen" as opposed to "Naturalized".

If Obama was born in the US, then why has he spent in excess of 2 million dollars in legal fees to keep all of his records that would prove your beliefs hidden? If he was born in Hawaii, then why is he using a Connecticut SSN???

ACCORDING TO THE COURTS: Suppose a person should be elected President who was native born, but of alien parents, could there be any reasonable doubt that he was eligible under the constitution? NO. The position would be decisive in his favor that by the rule of the common law, he is a citizen.
