Exactly, BadCBass. They just look dark in relation to the brighter and hotter surrounding gas. If you were to look at one with the nakes eye, binoculars, or telescope without a filter, It would still hurt your eyes. These spots are still blindingly bright.
What fascinating and striking detail! The granules are large regions, or cells, of hot convective gas bubbling up from within, with darker surrounding cooler gas sinking. Sunspots are large regions that are darker due to cooler plasma. These contain intense magnetic activity.
and to add to your comment. . . sun spots are not dark at all. they are darker in relation to the rest of the surface. they are very bright and you still would not be able to look at it with the naked eye.
the daylight temperature is between 70 and 100 degrees all right, but you've got the wrong grade, it's actually 273 degrees lower, that's between -100 and -173 degrees celsius, i think that's why there are heating elements instead of cooling elements in spacesuits(check wikipedia if you don't believe me)
Nice video. Congrats.

eagleeyes170 4 years ago
and how something that eventually burns out and die can be HELL??
hell doesnt last for....all ethernity?
MISANTHROPE00 4 years ago
hell is not on a star...and even if it was, god can make it eternal, because a real god last forever and can make anything last forever also.
eagleeyes170 4 years ago
but like all fire, too much can burn, it is an old and dangerous god, and it is hubris for us to think we can contain its power here on earth.
