Trying to understand someone without getting to know them on a personal level.. isn't smart you will never be able to understand God if you don't want too so doing this is pointless. He knows your heart and if you don't want him don't expect to see him..we works in a way that we as humans can understand him..i.e. emotionally

If some stupid athlete thinks that praying to his imaginary friend is going to help him win then he is betting on false hope...

However if the athlete does win and thanks his imaginary friend afterward then he is doing a great disservice to the real people that helped him win such as his coach, trainer, parents, and others people that helped him, and mostly importantly himself.

Let' quit thanking an imaginary man and thank the real people that can feel appreciated for the help they truly gave.

See thats where you have to see it as a Chritian Athlete its more than just wins and losses, it's not about winning it's about honoring the Lord on all aspects of your life including competition, and if you ask me do i believe God has a hand on who wins and who loses absolutely, but from a Christian mind frame you look at as what is the Lord trying to teach me from loss, b/c nobodys perfect every team fails but when you still have God with you wins and losses dont matter honoring the Lord does

infidelguy. not to get side tracked but as strange as it seems i take issue only with the boxing analogy. most of boxing is about winning not to really hurt someone. most of the time it is not personal when they fight. and I'm sure they do not want to inflect more hurt then necessary to win. fighters do go in the ring knowing the risks. however many in boxing do what they can to avoid ring deaths.

I have been listening to Reggie for a long time and I do know what he says. He thinks God should not allow evil, which means he should pre-judge. That's just retarded. He has no logic skills. You don't eliminate power without prejudgement. They are mutually exclusive. There is no problem with that. Also your wording of "ordered to" seems to imply that it is up to us but no where in scripture do you see this. In fact Jesus agreed with the disciples that for man this is impossible. That is why God provided the wellness. And he ordered it so in the first words of Genesis. He creates the world to begin in darkness and then brings the light.
