Could have been recorded in my living room. The only difference is I direct deposit my paycheck at HRO... Yes, it is very easy go overboard with ham radio, but I have many friends with $45k bass boats in their driveways that justified a $70k SUV to pull the boat parked next to it.

We are surely meant to take sides in this argument, but it isn't at all obvious to me whom we should side with. Both partners have some perfectly valid points in addition to some delusions. However, if the XYL is right about their financial situation, then I side with her. Ham radio should be a hobby, and can be a passion, but should never... well... I guess some people probably would never understand that there is life outside of ham radio.
