I freaking hate when our people give special attention to these stupid westerns. Dont they know they treat us like shit when we visit their counteries??? In most cases they dont even give visa to most of us.
I think this is an excellent video. The indian people were generous with the tourist and they were not ashamed of sharing their culture. Every country has their own distinctive culture. We should all respect that. Indian people are hard working. The ones we have in the U.S probably started like that and saved their money to come to America. Most Indians in America are successful business people or got themselves an education.
I really don't understand why so many people seem ashamed of what is shown in this video. I'm a european, living in France, and in this video Chandigarh seems to be a good place. No disrespect here. Of course to us -people from western countries- everything can seem different. I'm sure Chandigarh is a modern place, and you don't have to show rich people, villas and most beautiful places to make us understand it.

I live in Canada and got all the ammenities but I hate living here. The poor living in downtown Vancouver are more filthy than the poor in India.People in Canada are not friendly. I plan to move back to India very soon. What does that say about the western country ?

A biased approach to such a beautiful city I am from Chandigarh and I can post an equally ridiculous video diary for London, Paris or wherever you come from. Such a shame when will westerners learn to respect INDIA

I wouldn't say it was an "obsession". Most people from the United States or Europe would be surprised to see a bull roaming the streets of a city. To us, it's remarkable - not an obsession.
Of course the pictures in this video are different from the ones a resident of CHD probably would have shown. But that's just natural because I am a foreigner. I was dropped in a totally different culture, wasn't biased and explored everything with curiosity and openness, no matter what. Believe it or not, the things you see in the video are what I found beautiful. Because they were so different, charming and natural. It's all a question of point of view - and that's culture.

What is beautiful about Chandigarh? The open Hand? Lake Sukhna? Or even the Rock Garden? Maybe the villas in Sector 5? Give us a break!!! The video is showing everyday life in a modern Indian town, without any history or any beautiful architecture.

We all know that CHD is beautiful (well most of it) but the fact is that all this that is shown here in video is from CHD too so we can't deny that fact... its good to see the real side of some parts of CHD or else mostly indians won't show these sides as they will only show good stuff about a city... so I guess you can't say its a shame cuz afterall movie was shot in CHD...

there are very few barber shops which are under tree, the video maker went to that shop just to get a footage and i can best he wont go there again...
there are damn 100's of good beauty saloon's and all he can find is a barber shop under tree....
