@Konformation07 tru, but was nowhere near a subaru or evo in speed, considering brand new they cost around 30k and hit 0-60 in 6.7ish i believe wheras the subaru and evo cost around the same brand new, and have are much quicker in performance, but if its luxury that your after, you are right to stick with the german.

Tell you something mate, I have a BMW645i and a Honda Accord, my Honda broke down 3 times since I bought it and each time I change the broken parts, it breaks down more often, even if I bought the parts at a genuine Honda Dealer. However, my yr 04' 645i which I adore broke down only once since I bought it and it was a faulty battery which I am still using. My Honda is a 2007 model! Both are great machines but the BMW is just awesome. Better than the japanese.
on the other hand, i know some cases with Audi TT and VW Golf with faulty electronics.Your 645 is a serious car. A class, B class, are crap. If you want a serious Mercedes or BMW you have to pay a lot

Not like you're gonna take 'em to their top speeds on afreeway. If you drag on streets, it's usually from one set of lights for another 500-1000m or to the next set of lights. In which case, the STi would cook the M5. The M5's a great car, but by the time you get an M5, you can get a WRX STi and jump it up to 1200+ RWHP.
i agreem in two years i graduate nursing school, my aunt is a subaru salesperson so i'm getting a WRX STI. overall, when u consider the price, interior, exterior, and performance of the car , its a much better buy than gettig one of these new generation muscle cars like a new shelby mustang gt, or a dodge challenger, or a camaro. The only thing i gotta get used to is the hatchback, i'm not to crazy abotu wrx hatchbacks
i'm getting mine in 2012.. Problem is i live in new york, an STI is no place for the environment i live in, i'll probably end up with the regular wrx because driving manual is not fun or worth it where i live..

No doubt Subaru's are a great investment. Even a 10 year old outback or forester with 150K is still worth 8-10k. They run for a very long time. The STI is such a fun car to drive too. I'd rather drive around a STI than a BMW any day. I can say that cause I've driven alot of STIs and BMWs

I am not sure what kind of time frame you are talking I ment reliability wise BMW has always not been great as they tended to include a lot of new technology early on which mostly was not enough developed at that stage yet leading to breakdowns due to electronic issues. I am not sure what kind of time frame you are talking I ment reliability wise BMW has always not been great as they tended to include a lot of new technology early on which mostly was not enough developed at that stage yet leading to breakdowns due to electronic issues. And I dont need to own a BMW to know lol just look in the Reliability stats mate...

No, an X5, but why would you pay an extra 100k for that? An M5 at the time cost around $70,000. The Wrx is heavily modified and in such a modified condition I am pretty sure that the stock M5 is far more reliable.

1. The escudo was largely a race car. 2. VERSATILITY? are you stupid? a a 900hp ImpreZa is great cause you can carry lots of drugs or something? A Good set of Mods on the M5 would cream the Impreza, plus the M5 is clearly more versatile. It has a larger trunk and rear seat.

shit?? why cuz it has about 200 less horsepower than the damn M5??? its a little 4 cyl , M5 got 500hp v10, plus compare it to something in it price range, like say an FQ400, 0-60 in 3.5 and can top a around 175, while probably still cheaper than that bimmer... although the M5 is a beautiful car... very luxurious... but i would rather get the m3 since its a coupe
