WAY COOL VIDEO!! The closest to taking the ride again. One of my favorite rides ever at D-Land. Would be the first one me & my friends would go on after entering the park.
I was just at disneyland today and i believe that i saw the actual telescope that was used in adventure through inner space on a shop just outside of the bag check area called world of disney ( pretty sure thats the shop name). if you look right above one of the doors to the shop, you should see it, only now some retard put a disney duck on top of it, but im pretty sure that thats it. Please tell me if it is for sure.
@flobots69 I'm sorry but the original Mighty Microscope was imploded due to it being concrete and unable to move. The original plan was to saw it out and put it on another ride or in a Disney warehouse but no. I saw the telescope in a picture once and it is not big enough to be it besides the front looking like the entrance to it.
This was great. I went on this ride several times as a kid, and watching this brought back lots of fond memories. I wish they would stop taking out all the good rides!
Yeah...Star Tours is still one of my faves, but this didn't seem to deserve the chopping block...nor did Horizons...or Alien Encounter...or the PeopleMover...or the Skyway...
@AdrenalineAddict610 Horizons was replaced by Mission Space, but the "choose your future" concept now exists on Spaceship Earth, and you will always like the future you get.
@lizardsy PEOPLEMOVER WAS TOO GOOD TO GO!!! WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY DID THEY JUST SHUT IT DOWN COMPLETELY?!? NOW IT'S GONE EXCEPT THE ONE IN DISNEY WORLD, WHICH IS NOT THE SAME!
@DisneyfanBeckers I know! I loved Peoplemover! Also Skyway! Now both are gone! UGH! I also liked the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse but now it's Tarzan's Treehouse! And I loved the original Rocket Jets! They moved them and upgraded them, at least they didn't take them out completely.
@lizardsy Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse exists at Disney World Magic Kingdom. Also Peoplemover, Carousel of Progress, and Country Bear Jamboree. But some things removed from WDW that are still at Disneyland are Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and Toontown(currently being built over by Fantasyland in Disney World). Everything has an advantage over something else.
This is really great! Thanks for your effort on this recreation. I went on this ride when I was really young, and I don't remember much more than the shrinking people and being terrified inside the ride.
Great Work on this recreation I was one of the lucky ones to actually ride ATIS and my memory is vague I do remember the infamous EYE scared the crap out of me and had many nightmares!!!
OK, first of all let me say that I appreciate the attempt of recreating the ride.
But to be honest, this really looks awful. The CGI looks like some kind of cheap virtual reality booth from 1990. And what's the point of trying to make the video look like it was filmed in the 60s? Are you trying to recreate the ride, or simulate what a film of the ride made in the 60s would have looked like? The former sounds more appealing to me, personally.
This is a good recreation of a very old ride, and as a teenage now, i can see why disney decided to move it on. This was obviously made when disney was educational, and there are no films or rides at disneyland which are educational now. But i wish i could see this ride in its glory days, just to have a glimpse of how disney used to do things, in the days of walt himself.
ok im not tryin to diss u or anything cuz its cool but u shouldnt have made the thing look old cuz its hard to see and shouldnt have spent so muchtime in the line. and y did it go through walls?
As I've said before, this doesn't really resemble the ride at all. If you want a good idea of what the actual ride was like, search for "journey through inner space"...which is not what the ride was called, but oh well.
vodkafall, what the hell is your problem? He put alot of hard work into this ride, and all you want to do is diss him? I bet you haven't even been on the actual ride! It was pretty damn close considering the limits of RCT3. You're just too damn proud to admit this is better than anything you could do...
Great ride, how in the world did you do it?Did you use one of the RCT3 expansion discs? And how did you get the original sounds and visuals from the ride to go onto RCT3?I would love to do this and try recreate some of my fave extinct Disney rides.
Nice one Disneyfellow, that was pretty good considering the limitations of RCT3 and custom scenery...some people just don't get how hard it is to create a proper themed ride that looks real.
There were several flaws with that. You timed the audio off from the respective scene. You could see the track. The track wasn't in the correct shape. The Mighty Microscope doesn't look like the real-life counterpart. Bad.
What was that? A reimagining of the ride. It barely resembled the actual ride. A proper virtual ride-thru has already been done. Why did you waste your time making that turd?
Finally, I have an idea of how this ride looked :D

You need to clean your screen and then film it in the dark without the lights on. Pretty please.

I have a Idea for Disney third park for Disney C.A. the third park should be Disneyland classic, whare they got olds rides from the 50s 60s and 70s
sideslide23 2 years ago 2
I totally agree with that! That is something Walt would have loved. The old rides were better.

@sideslide23
could it also include the old fantasyland?

I do think the model has potential, however.

This is a really good recreation of ATIS, even though this is the only ATIS recreation. So now it is the best.
