  • " I'm wandering in times which are not mine "

  • να σε δω να το χορευεις κ τπτ αλλο.....

  • And how much more, will I have to go through... to prove myself that this is one of the most unique and fascinating song I've ever heard in my whole life?

    The Ocean <3

  • my favorite song from a band that can do no wrong.

  • intense

  • This is one of the best songs I've ever heard.

  • good stuff

  • two minutes in and i've decided i've gotta get high to this later XD

    6:00 oh shit :L

  • @Eeruwow yeah i guess your right,

  • i saw these guys live with btbam, and they were good, but disappointingly unfitting. very fucking awesome and intuitive music, but they should play at a more fitting show, such as a doom show or something that is slower and more ambient.

  • @DarkBazil i saw them too, i thought it was a perfect line up because there all so different and i love them all but the ocean the best

  • there are always a few idiots that dislike things beyond their comprehension...

  • This band's pretty good. I didn't know what to expect at first. They remind me a bit of Cormorant. I think they'll go somewhere after some higher quality recording and definitely after touring with BTBAM

  • Just saw these guys in denver, they fucking kicked my ass along with Between the Buried and Me.

  • @romeincarnate dude same here! epic ass show!

  • @romeincarnate i was at that show. first time hearing these guys and they were pretty sick. Between the Buried and Me was sooooooooooooooooooo SICK

  • @TheSilvi19 Show in Tulsa?

  • gonna see them open for btbam tomorow nite in milwaukee,wi. btbam is the shit, job for a cowboy is fuckin heavy, and these guys sound pretty awesome. should be a great nite!!!

  • @shonmg19 are you in TN because they are playing at rockettown here and im going

  • @peaveykid2 nah bro. wisconsin!!

  • @shonmg19 just thought id let you know that im jealous annnddd i hate you

  • two fuckers are justin bieber fans^^

  • this needs wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy more views. 40,000 is just insulting

  • The vocals are heavy, but its soo good to hear it... just perfect song... love the screaming *-*

  • Music is subjective, you faggots. So quit arguing about what genre or band is good or bad and just listen to it. -.-

  • @0BFUSCATION Meh kinda disagree, there are alot of musicians out there that I don't like but I would never call their music shit and you can't deny that there is music out there that is undeniably shit. Liking or not liking a song IS subjective but the quality of the music itself and the effort that went into it is not subjective (alot of songs are made for the sole purpose of making money and that isnt art).

  • @mhbed5 valid point. well articulated.

  • @0BFUSCATION subject yes. use of the 'f' word nah. youtube account name oh ya. btbam and the ocean rule. i just saw em both play live.

  • @thebtbamfan

Yeah but seriously, it get's annoying. Anyways I'm seeing both of them this Saturday :D shame Cephalic Carnage isn't gonna be opening on my date.

  • That's the problem with metal heads. They are so particular about their tastes that everyone else is ignorant for not sharing the same perspective. Its art. Get over it. And listen to Shakefist.

  • @shakefist1 I would disagree. Metalheads are much more diverse that the majority; 'pop' stands for 'popular' for a reason. However when it comes to anything outside Metal... well I miss the savagery. But it is ok to an extent because Metal absorbs other styles often.

  • @CyanideSovereign you must not have any metalhead friends and what does pop standing for popular have to do with anything? that itself is a MISTAKE so for that fact alone ur comment should be erased from existence. The basis of ur comment comes from that there are only 2 genres, pop and metal. Ahaha its either ur a metalhead or a complete fucking idiot, since its obvious ur not a metalhead u must be the latter.

  • @spindleneedle " pop standing for popular have to do with anything?" As I said, I think Metal fans have a wider diversity of music taste than the majority of music fans. Which is a contrary opinion to the guy I was responding to.

"The basis of ur comment comes from that there are only 2 genres" No. No it isn't. Infact in comes from those other genres being absorb into Metal, Jazz, Classic elements and eletronica etc. Making a more diverse sound over the spectrum ov Metal.

  • @spindleneedle former...

  • Stop writing, long comments its just a song

  • NOt bad.. dont like the vocals... but I can certainly appreciate the darkness of this slow tempo sludge metal. =) And Im an Old school Death metaler!

  • Ending is so Beautiful.

  • haha this is quite interesting, first i had some tool vibes, then the singer started to go more aggressive, kinda the way isis is, then i they take it further and i get slipknot vibes from this :DDD

  • @seyyjJ You should check out a band from Canada called ATOMIS. They only have one song available for download as of now, but I just saw them live and they were rad!! Very Isis/Cult of Luna/Mogwai / Orchestral influenced even some radiohead influence. They have a free download here: atomis.bandcamp. com

  • this really makes me wish i could still get high...

  • @iwannashFarUapCovKa me too....

  • Comment removed

  • pretty cool

but the beat at the start is clearly ripped off Around The Fur by Deftones

  • @graemepoop they dont even sound alike and there are only so many drum beats

  • if not for their heavy drum beats and screaming they would sound more like a psychedelic band........ :)

  • @Tibberclaw They didn't ruin it, they enhanced it. don't be so close minded

  • I can do that.

    I just don't want to.

  • wow

  • Comment removed

  • To be honest The Ocean isn't my favorite band at all but Precambrian is by far my favorite album. I can't even imagine liking an album more, I've had it for a whole year, listening to it regularly, and it still gives me goosebumps. I doubt they even realize what a masterpiece they've created.

  • Just got into this band. Amazing. They're like all my favorite bands mixed into one.

  • Very nice! Can't believe this is the first time I'm hearing this.

  • Fuck me. Unreal.

  • @emptycookiejar1 I'll even name a few GOOD deathcore bands.

The Contortionist, No Consequence, Return From Exile, Painted in Exile.

There's good music in every genre, you just have to look.

  • @emptycookiejar1 fk you. Between the Buried and Me is good music and this band sounds amazing as well(first time listener). Dont need to bash a band thats good compared to the generic pool of modern day music

  • who was the singer for this album? WFHM?

  • Shit... This song is so... I don't know.. Insane? Sick? Maybe genius?

  • I should have included a comment about this song, since I'm commenting on the video and all.

This song is fantastic, and I love to listen to it, no matter what mood I'm in. It makes me feel good every time.

  • Guys, I'm gonna say this right now.

Between the Buried and Me aren't all that great.

Doesn't matter how progressive they are, deathcore is deathcore, and deathcore blows.

  • @emptycookiejar1 thats a very genre biased comment

  • @emptycookiejar1 between the buried and me isn't deathcore lol

  • @fahr Oh, excuse me. I mean to say metalcore. Same thing. OH MY GOD THEIR BREAKDOWNS ARE GREAT HUR-DURR.

  • @emptycookiejar1 go die you piece of close minded shit. i dont want people like you to ruin the face of metal

  • @JohnDeathMetal Come at me, bro. I don't want deathcore fans to ruin the face of metal.

  • @emptycookiejar1 deathcore fucking sucks. get your facts right. its fucking progressive metal. thats like calling cannibal corpse deathcore because they use growls.

  • @JohnDeathMetal I wasn't even commenting on this video when I said something about deathcore. I was talking to some faggots who were going on about Between the Buried and Me in the comments section. Go check for yourself. I never called The Ocean deathcore. I love this band, they're one of my favorites.

  • @emptycookiejar1 im talking about btbam. they are not deathcore, and not close to it.. they are musical perfection. and from someone who hates 3 min songs with 4 breakdowns as much as me.

im sorry, but if you think a 18 min long song swim to the moon, with 2 breakdowns/blastbeats in it is deathcore, you dont deserve to listen to music

  • @JohnDeathMetal No, they are not musical perfection. They're fucking metalcore shit with some progressive traits thrown in. And don't fucking tell me I don't deserve to listen to music, you fucking faggot. Go listen to them, then. I didn't fucking ask you in the first place.

  • @emptycookiejar1 1. YOU DID ASK ME, and all of youtube, when you posted that comment up there. Thats the point. Any either way, to judge a band, because of a genre (which they dont even belong under anyways)

2nd, what about them is "metalcore" they dont have choruses, they dont overuse breakdowns, they dont have the trendy airy scream, so exactly what do you find "metalcore about them"

  • "...Between the Buried and Me aren't all that great. Doesn't matter how progressive they are, deathcore is deathcore, and deathcore blows." -emptycookiejar1

Thats like saying you dont like pizza because its mexican food, and you dont like mexicans...

oh and (In reference to BTBAM)

"They're fucking metalcore shit with some progressive traits thrown in." -emptycookiejar1

    Metalcore?? and SOME progressive traits...??

Please Get over yourself you Nazi

The Ocean is an amazing band

  • @xXJmG47Xx

"Thats like saying you dont like pizza because its mexican food, and you dont like mexicans..."

    wtf? pizza's italian food!

  • @17391809 Exactly

  • @17391809 that guy eats a taco bell alot...

  • that one dislike obviously didnt listen to the whole song

  • listening to this on loop. Absolutely great

  • @Linlymes lol me too!

  • damn, this is just awesome !

  • in terms of progressive metal you cannot forget Death, Atheist, and Cynic. And of course BTBAM

  • @shadow6463 What generic recommendations of bands, but ok.

  • I saw them on Hellfest 2008 (i guess :o). It was great :D .

Got the CD too. It's ammazing ^^ .

  • ANATHEMA + THE OCEAN @ Boogaloo,Zagreb,on november the 15th-))

  • I love this, this album is up there among the progressive gods...

Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Queensrhyche, Opeth, Ihsahn, Pink Floyd

  • @VoidBeyondTheRift

Dude no Between The Buried And Me or Tool? lol

  • @Cadle1am Yes Tool, dunno why I didn't put them on the list as they are the only band I have two shirts of. Never really listened to The Buried and Me.

Oh and Neurosis, they're pretty kickass.

  • @Cadle1am BTBAM.

  • @Cadle1am

Btbam best band on the planet hands down.

I seen The OCean live, they are pretty nice.

  • i just came... SEVERAL TIMES

  • awesome

  • unwiderstehlich

  • when the ocean was good :D

  • @Fuman86 "was"?

did i missed something? they still rule.

i know that heliocentric isnt that powerful, but it's still a really amazing album.

  • @Kimosabe91 and anthropocentric is going to be fucking great too.

  • @smackythefirst nah, we'll see. ;)

  • This song is so intersting and wonderful...but it's ending sounds unresolved musically. This is good for music tension, but it bugs me! BUT I STILL LOVE THIS.

  • an unknown band that almost beats al the known bands , hope they stay pure :S

  • holy shit. this band...fuck yeah

  • great drumworks!!

  • just awesome..

  • You know... the intro part is tha same as a song of pain of salvation... but i dont remember tha name. Still rules.

  • i jizz everytime i heaar this song

  • @420pieceofshit me too! :)

  • Tabbing out all of Precambrian is really a bitch, but it is oh so worth it.

  • @endoftheline9 dude i bet that shit has to be pages long

  • @bufeva Yeah man. If I wrote it down, it would be, but it's all mental so far.

  • I'm wandering in times which are not mine

Lost in between the shit and the shine

The snake of fear creeps into our hearts at night

    Subdueing every mind at bedtime

What will it take to arrive

And cease trying to stop the past's rapid flight? How much more do I have to go through

To prove myself that I'm still alive?

  • 8:13 is so badass

  • canciones como esta deberian existir en el mundo del metal progre, son increibles...

songs like this one, makes me proud of be a metalhead, thanks you guys

    THE OCEAN RULES!!!

  • 6:06 melted my face off

  • saw them live with cynic and opeth :)

a great live from the the ocean to opeth !!

  • This band is so amazing.

  • The riff at 2:10 makes me wanna dance. Not something I'd expect from a prog-metal band.

Precambrian is probably my favorite album ever.

  • OMFG BEST ALBUM EVER!!!!!

  • I consider the slow progression a good thing, it allows time for taking in all the little things and build up the right emotion. And lord knows there's a lot of little things to take in here.

This is the kind of music that grows the more you listen to it. Give it another couple of spins, you might find that you'll change your mind.

  • ... I retract my previous statement... I had to listen to them dozens of times before actually appreciating them

  • excellent guys !!! you rock a lot !

  • This is... by far... the most amazing thing I've heard in ages. I am at lost for words... This is amazingly beautiful. I will be looking for a CD from you guys.

  • @xCocaingelx get this album man seriously, the actual Album is beautifully packed, one CD on top of the other and the first CD being shorter has only the media area of the CD printed so the other half is transparent and has a design that sorta "syncs" with CD 2 below it, it looks really cool (: awesome surprise once you open it.

  • @xCocaingelx you dont have a brain

  • @xCocaingelx you dont have a brain

  • @baldymort10 Yea, I'm sure that just because I think this music is good, that I don't have a brain. What brought you here? What brought you to listen to 11 minutes of a song, only to tell me that I have no brain? You truly didn't think out your actions very well, so I question your ability to think logically, and thus question your intelligence level.

You have a brain. But do you use it? I think not.

  • I LOVE THE OCEAN

  • jjeehhaaa...vor allem ab 6:06 ;)

  • ein song den man einfach lieben MUSS.

  • genial

  • yes, according to me. astonishingly fantastic this music. but all music of the album.

  • Just awesome...perfect music...great atmosphere...no words to describe this...
