Keep trying to save those pound dogs. IF you get another dog, you will be comforted while your getting over the loss of your last dog. Just know that Your dog is only gone in body, his spirit will always be with you. And know he had a happy life being with you.

Cesar Millan is absolutely amazing. He takes on the cases of dogs that have been deemed by other "trainers" unfixable. Yet he can take these "unfixable" dogs and make them balanced loving pets again. HE can walk a pack of 50 dogs without one leash. This man is one of the best dog trainer I have ever seen, and its not because he's on t.v. that makes him great, its because his techniques actually work while others have failed. And no one has the right to criticize this man and his work. No one.

Ceasar is using very very wrong techniques, and does not have Knowledge about a dogs behaviour..., people just think he's doing the right thing because he is from a TV show, don't be so naïve, and learn something about the behaviour of dogs before you comment that he would be oooh so "great" ... because , he's not!

Watch his vids very careful and critical , and you will see that it's not the right thing...

@MsLabMom Cesar NEVER kicks the dogs, he only tapps them with his foot. This isn´t meant to hurt them; it´s only to distract them from what they are currently doing. He is also not continually jerking on the leash, that is very obvious because if he were, the technique wouldn´t work; the dog would just become immune to the leash jerks. I´m not sure what you mean by "snaps of the hand against the neck", but if you mean the "symbolizing a bite" thing, it is not doing the dogs any damage in any way

Cesar is the best!! When I first watched his show I thought yeah right this won't work for my dogs but I took them out and to my surprise it did and has every since. Ceasar's way is not a method of training per se, its a way of being. Most of the trainers I've encountered just don't get it, they can't get past the 'sit, down, stay' nonsense taught in obedience classes.

I live in kelowna BC and there's another trainer here who has worked with ceasar millan and has formed a great fan base because of this "pack mentality" training. (His name is Wayne Dorman for those who care) The only way for him to have so much recognition would be because his methods do work...
