I see a lot of guys making comments about the GTR's RT. Reaction time doesn't affect the ET. Being almost 0.8sec slower than the Bugatti, he would have needed a Delorian with a Flux-capacitor to improve his reaction time and actually beat the Bugatti.

the wing was up in the veyron.. means it was never in full kill mode. they normally trap 145mph+. if he put the key in the suspension would of lowered the car, the wing would of tucked in and he would of went atleast high 9's.

They are both amazing cars, but you can't compare the two. The veyron was designed to be stable at extremely high speeds and usable in the city. It wasn't designed to run the 1/4 mile.
