@TheRuby47 Pretty much the same except I now have a wall mounted turntable shelf and have treated the room with some acoustic panels, which has made a massive difference.
Mate! Sounds great. The classic Linn/Naim synergy. What album is that? If it's a Pearl Django album what label is it? The Pearl Django website denies distributing anything on vinyl.
I've never understood the appeal in having a separate, small, listening room in one's house. For me, music should be seamlessly integrated into the whole house, it should be a part of our everyday life.
@caesiume I think that is true for most people that have listening rooms too. At least the ones I know/ myself lol. Most music lovers have stereo in almost every room. There just happens to be that one room that is desinged for nothing more than listening to music in the best environment possible. I mean I have a turntable/cd set up in my living room and bedrooms but the speakers in music room alone cost more than both those set ups total lol.
@caesiume Because there is background music and then there are times when you want to be submersed in a soundstage that sounds like the musicians are in the room with you. That can only be done in the sweet spot of a properly setup listening room.
@viceadmiraal61 That would have been nice but the video was shot on a tiny old 'Nikon coolpix' with no sound availiable. I thought something would be better than nothing at all.
nice looking set-up - sounds v musical too, despite having to end up digital. merely have rega planar myself, but love it. this looks similar to my friend marks set up - which was outstanding . he worked in good hifi shop 4 years- always went linn/naim.btw. watchedd yr vids of china / thailand...some excellent photographs...thanks for posting this stuff

Great sound.. What Naim Components are there ? I recognize a Linn Loudspeaker and a Ittok
TheRuby47 10 months ago
@TheRuby47 Hi, Its a Naim 62/90 with a Naim Hicap. Linn lp12 Ittock LVll with a k18 cartridge and a lingo power supply.
The system is a bit different these days as I have a wall shelf due to the bouncy wooden floor.

72/Hi/140 is one of my fave combinations. You might find the 72 likes to be further away from things with big toroids in them though.

Wish had a 140 but it's a 90.
Maybe one day I will be able to upgrade the power amp.

My mistake. I've just sold my 252/SCap/135s and replaced them with an old chrome bumper Nait 2. It sounds damn good...
mookie2637 1 year ago
OMG! Almost the same set up as mine! -But you have better speakers.

They are 'Linn Keilidhs', but the soundtrack to the video is a youtube overdub i'm afraid.
