How does KDE work with Mint? I know Mint uses Ubuntu basically but I had Ubuntu (Recently) and when I put in Kubuntu (KDE) instead of Gnome, it ran ok but later in the day, when rebooting, it didn't load correctly and loaded into the Gnome looking desktop.

Gnome hasn't given me any problems so far but just wanted to know... thanks : )

you can use the Mint4Win installer in version 7 and then update it, or you can burn a cd of the iso and dual boot your PC, but that deletes the drive to my knowledge so ide Mint4Win it my self

the new Cairo dock doesn't suck. it has many features and tons of skins. it makes docky look bland

whats great about KDE is now it supports Webcam using Kopete messenger its great i used it the other night works straight up with Microsoft Plug and play Webcams!!!

KDE is ugly. Looks like a bad skin for windows. Seriously, look at the right of the taskbar, before the time. The taskbar is blue, but the icons around the taskbar is black. To me, KDE is laggy as heck. I like the idea, but it has nothing on the simplicity of gnome.

in sabayon all my drivers worked out of the box i tried ubuntu i had problems with video card its intel... i tried fedora its ok but it crashis a lot. But when i tried sabayon i loved it and im happy with it :)

I used to like kde back in the 3.0 era but now I just don't care for it now. Gnome is better, XFCE is ok but bland and meant for older systems of course.
