Nice rhythmical playing, like the intro but unfortunately, this demo does not do the Wave justice apart from that organ sound at the very end. Dig deep and you'll be able to produce some amazing atmospherical textures. Yes, the Wave is way superior to the 2X but if this was all I heard I'd be thinking 2X and some serious money saving. A Wave demo without some mellotron samples is tragic.
He made everything sound like variations of electric pianos, If it didn't say nord wave in the title I would've thought that it was a electro 3. (That is a common problem with fm synthesis though, everything usually ends up sounding like a rhodes, clavinet or harpsicord).

nord wave is newer... if you like just synth sounds (leads, pads) and don't need effects then the nord lead 2x is for you... otherwise nord wave just kicks a*s!
no... the Lead has two OSCs with just basic waveforms and Wave has two OSCs with basic waveforms and the second layer can have also sampled waves... lead can have 4 programs layered and wave can have 2 programs layered...
The wave is more versatile, but it also costs twice as much. If you only want more basic, modeled analog sounds you should go with the lead 2x, but if you want more versatility (like samples and effects) maye you should go with the wave. In my opinion the wave is really cool since you can use all the samples in the nord library and run them trough all the filters and effects.

Very good idea to integrate a sampler into a VA synth.
My only problem is the relatively high price.
And Zsolt Kaltenecker is amazing! If I could just half as well play the keyboards of synths or pianos..
