  • To everyone who feels the reason for this freak accident was a "strong spot" or "omg stupid spotters" or "shitty spotting if you ask me" we will be holding a contest where we will load the bar up with 550lbs and drop it from 8 inches above your hands and see how well you stop it. Those without dislocated fingers or torn biceps or butter fingers will be allowed to comment anything they like.

  • @brettcohen11 I Will gladly take you up on that type of challenge. The spotter in view of the camera was no where NEAR the bar at any point during the lift. As the lifter was pressing said spotter was not braced or even ready to receive any kind of weight which he should have been. Had they been following the bar in tandem as all side spotters should and been strong enough to support the weight AS ALL SPOTTER SHOULD BE then the lifter would not have gotten hurt.

  • Jesus, cant imagine how painfull that must have been.

  • Ouch!

    I hope you heal fast.

Btw... Do you grip the bar with pinky on the ring? And what's up the name Swede? Do you have any connection to Sweden? :)

  • @martinarildsson Thank you. Yes, about pinkys on the ring... and the name I have had since i was like 19 years old, when I would bleach my hair. It just stuck. NO I am not from Sweden, I am an American of Austrian descent.

  • strong spot

  • ouch

  • omg stupid spotters

  • Did your grip slip or what happened? It almost looks like you just let go of it.

  • @Coilz0r i did not just let go of it. lol. my wrist buckled and i was coming up so fast the rest of my arms just kept pressing up, it was a freak thing.

  • Shitty spotting if you ask me (which you won't).

  • omg

  • Hope you are okay!

  • @ariandbz it looks like i will probably live, as long as i don't sneeze and stab a hole in my lung or anything. lol

  • holy shit

  • Massive Respect for both the spirit and the strength, hope there's no lasting injury.

  • @DeadliftequalsLife Thanks to you.
