@bryanarz: Thanks for posting this. Your video has helped me make my decision on buying this guitar. The guitar has pretty solid construction. Not heavy and bulky body. Neck profile is somewhat between the "C" and "D" shape based from my previous experiences but pretty solid and stable, IMHO. The pick ups surprisingly sound very good. I got it for a very good price at Tom Lee Music in Vancouver. Great price, people and service. Thanks again man and rock on!

@34owner34 you, floating bridges wouldnt be my choice if you want to play that low of a tuning unless you use higher gauge strings and set the bridge right...it will work..

@bryanarz im sorry but im not quite certain on what a scarf joint is. isnt all guitar supposed to have scarf joint on the neck? but i cant b sure. do correct me if im wrong.thanks.

@agentelectric ,mine has when i purchased it, a scarf joint is how the headstock is connected to the neck, so its two pcs', however when i revisited guitarcenter this year..i saw the new with a 3pc neck construction like the ibanez wizard neck and has a more solid feel to it

@GuitarLordChels if you dont mind spending 30 min tuning with tools and aggravation, then floyd rose is perfect for you.

(getting cash for my birthday xD) this guitar, y then i would have been playing 8 months, I want a metal guitar and i think this looks beautiful and i like every aspect of it. is this a suitable guitar for me considering my skill?

I see that is MH 103 has better tone than MH 401 ! annd by Far so what if you replaced those pickups to Dimarzio tonezone at brige postion and true valvet at the mid and the neck it would be like the grege howe signature !

I'm thinking of buyin this guitar in the near future, but I got a question: Is the neck really thick? I heard that it was really thick but is it like any other ESP couse I have an ESP and it feels fine to me. Does the neck feel comfortable when you play at least?

Nice playing and kick ass guitar! Im thinking about getting this but can you tell me a little about using the floyd rose? Is it hard to set up? And what purpose does it serve?

the FloydRose Special which is stock to the new LTDs is decent quality, i havent broken mine so far..to setup it will be a learning curve but i can answer questions if you need help,

I have that guitar too and, except the bridge humbucker wich sounds awfull to me, the guitar is really EXCELENT. But for now, I haven't found a "good" bridge pickup for it. I have tried just a GFS PowerRails... i'm going to put a SD JB to try...

Also, I have a GFS "hot rails" (I don't remember the name) in neck and it sounds really good.

Basswood and maple are good woods for heavy metal to blues in a floyd rose equiped guitar.

i love ibanez's but i had the edge 3 break in 2 accounts, so i prefer this actually.. i know how to use a trem and have encountered all the edge trem variants, the edge 3 is far doesnt have the best materials used in it,
