How does it confuse you on why it wasnt released in the US.

Around 2004 fighting game's were pretty much DEAD.

The only fighting games played where Melee, Tekken, and Soul Caliber. No one was open to any new releases on games that they werent already fully familiar with. And the fans of FMA that are also fans of Fighting genre is LOW. (Consdiering the fact that it was Produced my Square a company known for RPG's)

@JackisaMannequin is it like a mod chip or something? lol sorry I don't do mods like that, if there is a swap trick or a hack that will let me play imports but modding my system beyond replacing the lid is something I don't like doing. but please elaborate on what this method is, I'm really interested to hear about it.

@Wolfa246 Well, that or you could use an American PS2 and install what is called a flip top, then buy swap magic disks. This does require you to unscrew your ps2 and take out the regular lid and replace it with a flip top, and trust me Slimlines are WAAAAY easier for installation.

@Wolfa246 as to be expected, I wish I could tell you a good place to buy them but I got my flip top and swap magic from my local anime store, but I think I did get a replacement flip top from a website called keepgaming... maybe try it there, but first do your research on flip tops and swap magic and whatnot I suppose

@nasurdan I'm interested to hear ur opinion, what specifically did you not like about the game? I think it is actually pretty awesome when you have all of the characters and you have 4 people to play with so u hav no CPUs in the way xD.

@AKATSUKIComics I think if you're going to make a game you should give the user some option to work with that can change the story off the game. this game is just basic go point a to b which is both repetitive and boring. Also most people will not have 4 friend who are interested int his type of game. I know everyone of my friends like different types of games and movies so getting 4 player to play with u is rare. Unlocking the extra character really didnt change the game ply to me.

U will need a few things, first your slim needs to be a SCPH-70011 model slim, then, if it is you need to buy a flip top (aka, flip cover). Then, you need to get swap magic disks, after you install the flip top, you put the swap magic disks in, then when they stop spinning take em out without pressen the eject button, then put dream carnival in and say start game.

no, well not without a Swap Magic Disk, and if you have a Fat PS2, I would just not try since importing requires you to remove the entire console's shell, but if u hav a slim, u will just need to remove the part where you put the disks in and replace it with a "flip top", it's sort of complicated and a bit expensive nowadays as well...

what is the most that you pay for this game, the graphics dont look that good and its a huge turn off not being able to do 1 on 1 with a friend. But the idea of the game overall looks good

well... I mean if you have a ps2 multitap and have 3 friends over for the awesome 4 player madness... It is pretty worth it but if u wanna kno how much I paid for it, I think it was $20, and I might have bought it for $30 if I had 3 friends over often... but anything above $30 is kind of a stretch... and if u get the game and need help, just ask me, I have helped tons of people with this game.

Here's a tip on getting character unlock items easier. Just get Mustang and spam his forward 'O' attack when he does the three fire explosions. Get the opponent in any corner and keep a good space so when ever you finish the 3rd attack in the combo, it'll push them off the wall and right into the 1st attack so it'll be continuous. Just continue that and they'll drop some good crap. It's cheap, but that's what I did to get all the stuff.

you commented on the right video because I can answer all of your questions. Well the rank system isn't really like a rank system where you get a higher rank for doing better each time it's actually like a leveling up system where you have to play under the same save file in arcade mode, you access your saved file for arcade mode by clicking on the green dot that says player 1 in the character selection screen.

and about those items... the ultimate shield can only be gotten after you unlocked Izumi and you have like a C or B or maybe even an A rank (I forgot) then fight Greed until he drops it and transmute it with an Izumi symbol and BAM! you have greed, ok the eye patch... you have to have an S rank and have unlocked Greed, then fight Bradely til he drops it and transmute it by itself to get Bradely. Oh and getting items is ALOT easier on the easiest difficulty
