  • this is why i love professional wrestling!!

  • nice

  • This surpasses any main event WWE/F has done since it's debut back in the 50's.

  • @siren7193 ....That said, the overly stiff japanese style with the reckless bumps lead to the the death of Misawa, and has shortened many a career. There is a very real downside to this sort of style.

  • @flipgood89 Interesting that you said that because I think there are more death in US wrestling than Japanese wrestling because of the high level of awareness in Japan (less drugs and alcohol and that stuff), better working conditions and more professionalisme.

But this is just my opinion I'm not a 100% sure.

PS : I may have made some writing mistakes :P

  • @siren7193 ...my fault if my earlier post came across as anti-Japan, that wasnt my intention. Yes, you are right American pro wrestling has seen countless deaths of many big named performers. This is owed to a variety of factors. Drugs, inhuman road schedule --- another element is the u.s copying the hardcore/stiff style of Japan. WWE has outlawed things like neck bumps and head chair shots which were very popular in the 90s. Just saying they should be commended for that, not criticized.

  • @flipgood89 I'm not saying they should do them because yes they're fun to watch but it's not fun to die from those countless strikes so it's better if it's taken out but now that they took all that out...look at what they kept, not even wrestling, let's not be naive here WWE isn't a wrestling show anymore I haven't seen a real wrestling match in WWE since long time. The last match I liked was Ziggler vs Morrison at SS and in TNA Aries vs Kendrik at Bound for Glory, now it's "XP"

  • I wish all wrestling was like this! it really does make any era of the wwe/wwf look like crap, id love to see wrestling like this on my tv everyday! great match

  • This is wrestling. WWE should be banned from TV.

  • Comment removed

  • I had the absolute pleasure of seeing Marufuji vs Roderick Strong match ringside for ROH's debut show in Toronto,Ontario,Canada,5 star match & match of the might, but it was closely contested with Bryan Danielson vs Claudio Castanogli.

  • 這也叫摔角?

  • 8:32 shit that was stiff

  • Awesome finish!

  • Stiff are we? LOL

  • What a great match, and I absolutely love Japanese crowd reaction, really respectful of all the moves, not just waiting for the high spots to cheer, love the match and love KENTA!

  • I would love to see both these guys in ROH again. KENTA has earned the right to be the ROH World Champion more than any other puroresu wrestler. His rivalry with Danielson, if it could only have been built more, could have matched Dragon's rivalries with Aries and Nigel.

I would love to see KENTA & Marufuji vs 2nd City Saints. Cabana and Marufuji joking around, KENTA and Punk all serious and determined.

I hope to see both of 'em in ROH again. NOAH and ROH: What a great partnership that'll be.

  • 11 stupid son of a bitches have deemed this video not good, wow THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO HAVE no sense of professional wrestling! Pro Wrestling Noah is one of the best Wrestling Organizations in the world today! They are always putting on four+ star matches on a each show basis. Can you believe it? That I could name quite a few better matches that Noah has put on that are infact better than this match? Incredible right?

  • @Jeffzkrazie Noah>WWE & TNA put together

  • @Jeffzkrazie I disliked it just to piss you off

  • the only thing that I dislike about Japanese wrestling is the fans in the audience. I understand it's part of their culture, but come on, lets have some energy!

  • @Navishing

    No.

  • @Navishing Being silent is way more respectful than screaming all batshit crazy.

  • @brianalyn13 Yeah but its not as fun and makes the product seem less enjoyable! Rowdy crowds are a great way to gauge how over a wrestler is too

  • this is what wrestling should be

  • one aspect of japanese i especially enjoy is the camera work. the wrestlers and action always tightly framed. but sometimes the cam catches a wrestler's signal as at 18:45. kenta never disappoints whether he wins or loses, whether meting out brutal punishment or absorbing it, he's a top rank showman.

  • i loved it all

    thanks for posting

  • You can download and watch some of KENTA's and Marufuji's matches in ROH at filetube.com. I recommend using Megaupload.

ROH matches involving KENTA which I highly recommend is his ROH debut against Low Ki at ROH Final Battle 2005, and against Davey Richards at ROH Supercard of Honor IV. Both were for the GHC Jr Heavyweight Title.

Marufuji's is his match against Nigel McGuinness at ROH Final Battle 2008 and against Roderick Strong at ROH Northern Gation.

These two are legends in the making.

  • has there ever been another wrestler in puroesu history that has female fans yell his name through out the entire match like KENTA's is?

  • What a truly outstanding contest, hats off to both men

  • KEEEEEENTAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

  • that was not an Iron man match that was a Titanium man match KENTA and Marufuji are made out of Kevlar with nuclear fission for hearts ..

  • I am an american wrestling fan and I approve this match *****!

  • Great match! is KENTA a face or a heel? do they even do the face/heel stuff in Japan?

  • @starwebproductions22 they do, but it isnt given as much weight in Japan as it is in America. over there, they respect and honor each competitor, and what they bring to the match, Heel or Face. and im not sure. both men are hyper popular in NOAH's Jr. Heavyweight scene over there so its always hard to tell

  • @Heero688 Ok. I'm predicting KENTA's role in PWN is the young cocky heel from what i've seen in his match with Kenta Kobashi.

  • @starwebproductions22 Actually I think he was a face always except for currently he is a heel. Though I don't exactly understand what makes a person a heel in puroesu other than being a monster Gaijin.

  • Anyone else think KENTA would be an amazing MMA fighter? He's got the striking skills, apparently he had an amazing amateur kickboxing record. His ground game would be great if he had the right training.

  • What does NOAH stand for?

  • @adam765432 Noah, the guy of the "Noah's Ark".

  • 28:10 LOL Very rare for KENTA to botch like that.

  • Damn, NOAH knows how to put on one hell of a show. and to Think Micheal Cole would call this the minor leagues...I hate that man.

  • @comicad Actually, he most likely would not. He refers to places like ROH as the independents. The founder of NJPW was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last year I think it was. Vince isn't dumb enough to insult NJPW, or to allow any of his commentary to do so anyways. When Michael Cole is speaking of Minor leagues, like I stated before: ROH, CHIKARA, Jersey All Pro, etc.

  • Damn, NOAH knows how to put on one hell of a show.

  • 22:29 - Back Suplex Driver into a float-over 1 leg Jacknife pin. A move you will NOT see done in WWE or TNA. Another reason why Puro beats "Sports Entertainment" ever single time. 4 years later and this match still is one of the best I've seen. Bell to bell this match was full on entertaining.

  • I'm exhausted, and I only watched the match.

  • Awesome match

  • 10 idiots missed the like button

  • Any other awesome match, specially cruiserweight style from NOAH or other Japan companies I barely know any so don't mind mentioning the mainstream one's

  • Is 23:38 another fisherman buster?

  • KENTA using Lupe's track...Lol.

  • lmfao at the guy introducing kenta, "KKKEEENNNTTTTTAAAA!"

  • At @26:17 how is that move called?

  • @DaVasquez27 It is called Avalanche Falcon Arrow And that bump SUCKS!!!

  • @DaVasquez27 It's a Falcon Arrow, but KENTA did it from the top rope. It's a vertical suplex turned into a Michinoku Driver. Hayabusa is most famous for the move. Hardcore Holly in the WWF used the move as his finisher also. It is very common to see people end the move with more of a slam than a head drive, especially if it's off the top rope like this one.

  • Kenta Matsudaira...

  • この二人がJr最強だな

  • actually i take that back after seeing that insane tope dropkick dive THING that marufuji did!!!

  • awesome match except kentas no-selling of the leg that got worked for heaps of the match kinda put me off...

  • Two guys whom deserve to be revered.

  • true that especially Kenta

  • AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING! 5 star beginning, 5 star Ending, 5 STAR EVERYTHING!!!

  • これやっぱすげーわ!!

  • kenta is awesome

  • God damn. Kenta is a monster!

  • Came to rewatch this match after someone reminded me of it. Best opening sequence to a match ever.

  • OMG amazing match, really good finish too.

  • what an AWESOME match!

  • I just came up with a dream match

KENTA and Marufuji vs. Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, i'd love to see that match in Japan and in the Tokyo Dome!!

Great match, but there match from October of 2006 is better........ ****1/4

  • Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley are overated IMO

  • All of the girls screaming "KENTAAAAA" in the crowd amused me a lot.

  • Its Just Sad That Many (Not All) Wrestling Claim That They Are Real Wrestling Fans And Yet They Never Watch Real Wrestling Like This.

  • Get off your high hoarse you wanker. NOAH isn't readily available to 99% of the wrestling fan base outside of Japan. And for those inside Japan, there's an even smaller margin that can watch the program because it's broadcast on satellite that NOBODY has. You found a good match on Youtube, get off your elitist high hoarse.

  • kenta stole joes song

  • lol your welcome to take my place in line.

  • KENTA's kicks are incredible lol, ouch tho wouldnt want to be on the end of those.

  • in an certain angle, doesn't marufuji look like a young japanese Don Johnson lol.

  • 32:22

  • 32:21

  • great match

  • This has everything needed for a truly great match. I really enjoyed this definatley one of the best matches I've ever seen!

  • was kenta was a heel in this video

  • No KENTA wasn't a heel it's just how he wresltes. Aggressive and with a slightly cocky attitude. These guys have a lot of history so it's natural KENTA will act like a dick.

  • Kenta is cm punk teacher

  • I don't think that KENTA is CM Punk teacher 'cause Punk began his career in 1999 and KENTA a year later. In fact, Punk he's just one of his greatest fan... but I'm sure about one thing: KENTA vs CM Punk is a dream match for all wrestling fans!

  • @Leonhearth0

Kenta would murder him, no contest

  • Ace Steele might agure that point

  • Cabana might also

  • Ke mito Kenta

  • RoderickStrong is a faggot

not the wrestler, the faggot using a Youtube channel called "RoderickStrong"

    Pass it On.

  • i agree it is getting somewhat stale and that it should be scaled back, especially in noah/dg. however in huge matches like this, it works perfectly. i think so at least.

  • i've seen some WEE and i still think the noah or all japan is better. i know i'm gonna get bad reaction, but thats how i feel

  • @kinya70335 I agree but its WWE, not WEE :p

  • @kinya70335

There is no reason to. U like more puroresu and that's Ok. In Fack, people that really want to WRESTLE ares use to go to japan and practice. The culture is TOTALLY different. Here, they want the "nice moves" or u r nothing. In another cultures, it is improtant the mic gymmic blah blah blah.

These people dont care about that. that's why they have more emphasis in tecnics.

  • @kinya70335 wee>?

  • @kinya70335 Hey you are not the only one....I like every Japanese Wrestling Promotion myself. And my favorite is the biggest one NJPW....

  • @kinya70335 What does WEE stand for?

  • @kinya70335

It's all about DDT New Japan Dragon Gate and Big Japan for me man.

  • KENTA is bad ass

  • Because the American wrestling media is pro establishment and many American wrestling fans never think outside the box, Matches like this are ignored. Sure the finisher was not as strong as the other moves but don't take that away from this match. The WWE and TNA cannot have matches like this because the American fans have no patience and have no art for wrestling. This match had everything, High flying,Technical wrestling and so on. Yet most of the world ignores the art of wrestling, Very Sad

  • They're not completely ignored in America you have to admit. TNA have showed great five star matches like this in the past when their shows were actually getting booked right. Generally speaking, I agree with your point, wrestling in the US is a shambles.

  • @EternalDeathSavior Saying that "American wrestling fans never think outside the box" and "American fans have no patience and have no art for wrestling" is very ignorant I'm willing to bet that most of the views for this video came from American fans

  • @Killedbyamen Outside of the internet. You got to understand the internet fans are way outnumbered by the fans who don't come to channels like this who just buy the dvd's and so forth.

  • @EternalDeathSavior only american fans ignore this, the rest of the world does not

  • @WrestlingFanCritic Well, we should say that WWE marks and TNA marks will ignore something this good. Not all Americans will ignore them. I live in America and the only best thing we have going is Ring Of Honor....but Japanese pro wrestling is the best in the world.

  • @ShaolinDynasty agreed

  • @EternalDeathSavior Its even sadder when American fans pay so much money just to be ripped off! Just watching this for free makes me wish I would've paid for this :/

  • @EternalDeathSavior man ita true my friend dont understan that i love ghc njpw and my dreams is become a profecional wrestler and learn the art of wrestling i wanna be in njpw and aaa to know deferents arts of wrestling... my friends are like.... i wanna be in wwe or tna and nothings more lool

  • @EternalDeathSavior i agree with everything you say expect for the finisher not being as strong as the other moves. the Busaiku Knee is easily one of the strongest finishers in KENTA's arsenal.

  • @Heero688 Yeah. Anyone who doesn't think a flying knee is "strong" doesn't understand either physics or human anatomy.

  • That top-rope falcon arrow KENTA does is fucking breathtaking...

  • dang this match is awesome

  • kenta's theme is sick

  • best wrestling match ive seen in a long time

  • japansese wrestling is WRESTLING! however, in spite of this, i feel that japansese wrestling is more realistic however less realistic that WWE at the same time. for example when KENTA hits the top rope falcon arrow, he only gets a two count whereas he get a three with his running knee attack. i find it hard to see how japansese wrestling can top itself if anyone knows what i mean? the majority of WWE wrestlers are musclebound, fast-tracked, body builders with a limited moveset does any1 agree?

  • If you think about it John Cena's FU is a very weak finisher. It is a overactive fireman's carry as the five knuckle shuffle is but looks like a finisher of superhero wrestler like they have made him out to be,. So on that the superhero good guy is the most unrealistic angle in wrestling and that is what someone like Cena is. Look at John Morrison as well with his finisher and set up moves the same thing. So it happens everywhere anyhow.

  • yh you make a good point actually

lets face it tho, cena is gay lol he has no way near the technical ability as japanese wrestlers or half the wwe talent but to be fair he does have the charisma

'EternalDeathSavior' who is your favorite wretler? just out of interest

  • I have so many. Jimmy Snuka is my alltime favorite but now. I like Kenta, And in America I like Kaz "when he is allowed to be on his game". I like so many though. Mainly in Japan. How bout you?

  • to be honest i think Kennedy has great charisma but in terms of wrestling talent i think taka michinoku really is up there (weird choice) i think chris benoit was also brilliant (personal life excluded)

  • Great choices. Kennedy should be pushed to the wwe world title when he is back in full. Chris Benoit's personal life should be excluded as we look at how great he was and how much more he could of been.

  • based on all that ill say iv admired Mitsuharu Misawa-san since around 94 since his great matches with Kawada-san and other and his many Five Star matches (like 25+ ***** matches in all) and how he got fired from AJPW after Giant BABAs death and inturn took 90% of the AJPW locker room with him and created Pro Wrestling Noah AJPW never recovered from that move

  • Spot on with Frankie Kazarian. He reminds me of Kanyon...

    Cue obvious homosexual-related "humour"!

  • Do I seem to be the only 1 who actually liked the ending?

It wasn't just a running knee that did it, it was a combo of 3 running knees straight after the go to sleep.

And I completely agree about the majority of WWE wrestlers and even guys who everyone hypes up like HBK bore me because of how few moves they do in their matches

  • @Spideysenses67 Go watch Kobashi's acclaimed matches with Misawa (2003) and Akiyama (2004) this decade. It's not about the number of moves, bro.

  • @MrCreepy92 The match of Kobashi against Sasaki (2005) is the very best, IT'S THE EPIC MATCH. It's a shame that you didn't mention it.

  • @garyfosbin18 You don't think a running knee KO is realisitc? Lmao.

  • KENTA's running knee attack is fucking awesome

    great match ****1/2

  • One in the shorts.

  • Man, this is great stuff. It's a shame that american wrestling kills the average persons attention span, which makes it difficult for said people to enjoy these 30 minute and up matches.

  • I totally agree, and sadly, most guys on the indie level want to follow Sports Entertainment rather than step their game up. I can't tell you the last time I had a match that lasted 20 minutes and up, but I think for most of the guys it's due to lack of conditioning...

  • Well, you kinda can't have multiple matches like that in Indies and American. You all are forgetting about time limits, tv time needed for everything on show, and fact they have multiple shows all week and house show matches all the time.

  • You don't have to tell me; I've been in the Indies for the past 10 years, and I can tell you now that even if it was better organized (I use that term loosely) It still may not measure up...

  • Oh WWE has 20 minute matches, they just don't compare to this.

IMO Give Shelton Benjamin vs Charlie Haas or someone like Regal, Finlay (no the goof we see today) 25 minutes and let them do whatever & you'll see a gem.

I always wanted to see Storm vs Benoit and let them do their thing (let's not even think what Benoit did. When I talk about him I speak of Benoit the wrestler period.)

    Would of been a classic

  • the matches in WWE can't and never will compare to NOAH, not just because of the different skill levels but due to the fact that the WWE has been watered down to cater to an overstimulated and gullible demographic that thinks that they're still watching 'wrestling' when they were even told that the so-called 'brand' that they back is now Sports Entertainment. I'll take puroresu and MMA any day...

  • I'm not comparing them because they are a different style this still does not mean wrestling in North America with the workers they have can be not be good.

Lance storm vs Jerry Lynn ECW

Eddie Guerreo (RIP) vs Mysterio title for mask

    Benoit vs Angle matches

    Regal Vs Benoit

    Bret Hart vs Hakushi

These were all very good matches in my book. The jap matches are great take nothing away from them but in N-America there are great gems themsevles if u let them go.

  • And great picks, I may add. Ever see a match between Muta against Hogan? You'd be surprised when you do...

  • I actually have that match. When I 1st saw it I was like "wtf"? Hogan has more than 3 moves, look at him go!

I forgot to add one of the best i've seen in WCW. Brain Pillman vs Lyger for the WCW lightweight title which happened in 92 or 93. One of the best i've seen.

  • It always amazes me when people are surprised by Hogan in Japan. What do you expect? He works different styles for different crowds, because that's how you're supposed to do it. You don't stand up after taking someones finisher in N-America, but it's fairly common in Japan, "Fighting Spirit" anyone? But, by that same token, you don't do heelish things all the time in Japan, like low blows are threatening the ref and such, like you do in N-America.

  • You don't get it do you? I'm very aware (as with most people) about the style in Japan. Hogan has not been known throughout his entire career to be a strong worker & for what he did in that match was good & Hogan has wrestled in Japan before. Just because you go to Japan and wrestle DOES NOT MEAN you can wrestle that style. If warrior wrestled in Japan and did a match like that he wouldn't last more than 5 minutes.

  • That's mainly because Warrior can't last 5 minutes in ANY style. Just ask Orlando Jordan.

  • this is one of my favorite all time matches.

  • what league is this noah or njpw ?

  • NOAH

  • For me Kenta is awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed waching this vid!

  • kenta is the best wrester in the world!!!!!!!!!!1

  • two words GREAT MATCH

  • Pure and elite my ass. More like pure crap. Wrestling in Japan is the best.

  • 5 times better than America. I love this!

  • KENTA is just awesome he is such an ass in the ring

  • mexico the elite? I think Japan is the elite since wrestling in Japan you pretty much already got a job in mexico or anywhere else

  • Mexican wrestling is FAR from elite jackass. That comment cemented the certainty to all that read it that you are certainly a delusional fool.

  • Japan Wrestling > Mexico Wrestling

  • Mud Wrestling >>>>> Mexico Wrestling.

  • lmao

  • narckfish you dont know bout puroreso if u think that lucha is more elite

  • Please reread my post. I sadi Mexican wrestling is far from elite. I didn't even mention puro, which is definitely the best.

  • WWE's Better... Haha Just Playing!

  • DAAAAMN I remember this was the 1st NOAH match I ever saw & Marufuji became my favorite wrestler INSTANTLY. KENTA 2nd. Of course I kept watching NOAH every week. I went months not knowing my favorite wrestler's name, wondering if he was KENTA or the guy who's name was written in Japanese lol. The week after this match I remenber seeing KENTAFuji vs Marvin & Suzuki WHOO!

  • That acid drop from the apron was awesome as hell!

  • why are the japanese so amazing and incredible at sport that we introduced to them?

  • I know. I think its because were worried about mark up where as they are all about competition and straight up wrestling. Just my oppinion on it.

Great match by the way thanks for the upload.

  • anybody know this entrance theme?

  • That was by god the best match I have ever scene! I was markin' out with "no f*cking way" when they were kicking out of each other's finishers/signatures 20 minutes through the match! Instant favorite.

  • best match ever the finish was like sumthing outta tekken or mortal combat!

  • are most japanese matches bout 20 to 30 mins long?

i only watch alot of mv's of matches but never rlly seen a match.

srry to like a Rtard but i would like to know.

    thnx!!!!

  • only the guys who can go for that long. historically they have been. also, if you like deathmatches, japans go on way longer.
