Thumbs up if you believe:

1) There should be an immediate worldwide release of the entire uncut series of Sunset Beach on DVD. Dailymotion is a poor substitute with missing episodes, poor sound and an almost unwatchable 10 second audio visual lag in later episodes! But it's currently all we have; and,

2) That a lot of the background music (especially in tense scenes) used would make a genuinely brilliant soundtrack and should also be released right now!!!

Sunset Beach was a wonderful soap opera. I remember that sunset beach was the first soap opera that I saw in Panama, Republic of Panama. I was 13 years old.

I remember that I wanted the truth went out, but something happend.I saw sunset beach for 3 years, it was long but I liked it. Latin america soap operas or telenovelas are not long like American soap opera.

The reason Sunset Beach was a genius soap opera - the actors played the storylines straight, even though most of them (especially the more talented ones like Buxton, Noone, Garita and Down) KNEW it was a complete farce. Sunset Beach was funnier than most so called sitcoms, because the actors worked on this additional wavelength.

I used to love this show before. First 70-100 episodes were really classic but then.....this show became total lame. They made 750 episodes which turned this show into long boring fairytale.

Anyway I really enjoyed first 100 episodes. My favorite characters were Annie (Sarah Buxton), Casey (Timothy Adams), Vanessa (Sherri Saum), Ricardo (Hank Cheyne), Rae (Kelly Hu) and superhot Paula (Laura Harring).

Yeah I think your right. I was addicted to the bloody show. It was just ridiculous. The style of the show was like David Lynch meets John Waters. Crazy kitsch, but in a good way. The trouble was that all the main characters had EVERYTHING imaginable happen to them. Voodoo, Evil Twins, Drugs, Incest(almost), murder, kidnap,e.t.c In a way they peaked too early. There was no where to go with it. I don't know how they could have kept it going. Hmmm, it's been 10 years. Maybe a fresh cast comeback?
