Hearing "Cluck Ole Hen" or as I know it from listening to one of the four recordings my Great-Grandfather, "Uncle" Bunt Stephens from between Lynchburg and Lewisburg Tennessee, made and one of the ones he played during his run to Henry Ford's World Championship Fiddle Player (Which he won). The three Tennessee winners were Uncle Bunt, Uncle Jimmie Thompson who went on to Grand Ole Opry Fame and a one armed fiddler from DeKalb County Marshall Claiborne. Held the bow between his knees. Look em up
Great vid, thanks for posting! It's neat to see the people of different age groups freestyling in their own way. I was just wondering what the name of this particular song was?

Hillbillies may live out in the middle of nowhere... But at least they can dance!
For the record: I'm not using the term "hillbilly" to be belittling. There's real heritage associated with that word and it ain't a bad thing. :)

This song is an old standard called "Cluck Ole Hen". A favorite of the Kudzus and Buckdancers alike.

It sure is great isn't it? When you find great buck-dancers, no 2 dance alike.!

I'd bet $100 that there's a gallon of moonshine within 50 yards from them.

I use to correspond, from a magazine, w/folks that clog but, clogging's got too modern. Now I'd love to correspond w/buck-dancers, if all possible.

Yep. These new fangled cloggers are dancin' to canned music and doing routines. I like the good old time buckdancers that do what they feel.

Paint Rock Valley Alabama at Estill Forks is a buckdancers paradise...... if you can find it.
