Hallo Mr. Fleck, hab gerade aus Zufall Dein Video gefunden und finde es SEHR gut! Vor nicht ganz nem Jahr habe ich das Revell-Schnellboot in 1/72 gebaut und habe vorher einiges an Quellenforschung über die S100er-Boote gemacht (alte "Krankheit" von mir :) ) - daher kann ich sagen, das der Angriff im Video sehr realistisch dargestellt ist!

Tolle Videosimulation! Nur das Datum ist falsch, die Kalottenboote kamen erst im frühjahr 1943 zur Front. Aber was braucht man denn noch alles außer SH3 (hab ich auch), um so gute Spielfilme draus zu machen?

I'm afraid yes. As far as I know Mikhayl stopped work on the mod before GWX 3 came out.

how did you get the camera to follow the bullet fired by the british ship?

It's a movie trick. I simply moved the camera in the outside view from the cruiser to the S-Boat which took about 10 seconds. Than I left out most frames so the scene plays really fast. There is no possibility to follow the bullets in SH3, as far as I know

danke für das Lob! Ja richtig, Einnebeln hätte dazu gehört, lässt sich mit der Silent Hunter III Engine aber nicht umsetzen. Rauch-Effekte sind nur für brennende Objekte vorhanden und auch nur punktuell. Eine "richtige" Nebelwand ist nicht vorhanden.

No I did not. For the movie I set up some missions, for each scene a mission. At least for me it is not possible to make a nice movie from one mission alone. The other S-Boats had scripted paths which I set up with the mission editor, they were not commanded by human players, only AI.

Hallo Kalamaharis,

den anderen S-Boote kann man keine Befehle erteilen, aber diese greifen selbständig feindliche Ziele an. Die Torpedos habe ich von meinem S-Boot aus gefeuert, die KI-Boote können das nicht. Für die einzelnen Szenen des Kurzfilms habe ich unterschiedliche Missionen mit dem SH3-Editor erstellt, eben auch einige bei welchen mich S-Boote begleiten und in Richtung des Hilfskreuzers mit mir fahren, Irgendwann feuern die dann auch mit MGs (aber keine Torpedos).

For the movie I reduced the hitpoints of the cruiser. This seems to enhance the probability of cascading explosions. But you are right, if you hit the right spot (ammo or fuel storage) it should work whithout any modification.
