So Caddy GMC is a great company and they have everything they need to come ontop in this segment or to be among the best. Remember before anyone buys this new ATS caddy, they have to ELIMINATE other cars in this segment besides the 3 series. Bring ATS coupes, Convertibles, 4 door sedans with many options like a 3 series plus the luxury, different engine options, efficiency AND driving dynamics to dominate in this class. Caddilac ATS or Xts..whatever they are going to name it, It has lots of challenges. It has to do really well in terms of engineering, performance, luxury and value in this segment let alone design. Like I said before, The competition is stiff from Acura, Lexus, Infiniti which is a great car, Audi A4 (S4/5 are great machines), Volvo and the Merc. Benz C class. This previous 3 series generations including the current have always been benchmarks. The 2012 was thumped up by MANY auto critics as well

All of you should know this is the car ALL car makers in the same segment call out. a 3 series has lots of options in engines and variants as well with different engines, This is a winner in this segment that makes lots of car makers jelousy. Only car came close is the G35/37. All other car makers MUST outperform a G35/37, Audi A4,Tl and Merc. C class before they even claim to kill this. That is what a G35/37 did. It smoked a c class, an A4, Acura TL, Lexus Is, even volvo c70 before a 3 series.

I have an E90 (not LCI) sedan and I'm happy that this design is not so dramatic and advanced, my car still looks good and fresh compared to the new one.

Also, i'm a bit disappointed that BMWs are getting more like Audis, where they look all the same except for the dimensions. Just look at the new 3er-5er-6er back ends...

These so-called "designers" at BMW are nothing more than pure idea thieves.

Anybody who follows the blueprints website (Google it) can see, that some people made designs that resemble the new 3-series, WAAAAY back before BMW even leaked the first design pictures.

It just pisses me off to see how unoriginal the new designs seem.

Sure, the new 3-series looks cool, but when you know that you have seen it a lot earlier, drawn and designed by an amateur, it just angers me, that they don't get credit.

@superravmanrampage I'll cut you some slack since you appear to be 18, based on your youtube profile. The most informed opinions come with experience. Assuming you even have a driver's license, go get in a BMW and then a Cadillac. You'll find the CTS is not up to par, but the CTS-V is. I've driven all three CTS-V variants and taken the sedan and wagon around Monticello Motor Club's track, along with a number of BMWs. M3 is hard to beat, but CTS-V nearly does. And the new ATS should be great.

@mz9393mz Dont worry, I am 18. I haven't driven a CTS-V mainly because I live in Australia and we dont have Cadillac here. I've driven an m3 (test drive) and I can tell you that it is just an amazing experience.

Im sure the CTS-V is a great car, Im not disputing that. I personally dont think Cadillac should be compared to BMW's Benz's etc. Those cars are world-wide and are regocnised as leaders in the prestige market. Cadillac is really only in the US. But hey, Each to their own?

It's effortless, like the M3, but somehow not quite as fun -- a bit more sterile. Maybe b/c it understeers a bit more, I'm not sure -- I'm no pro. LOL I'd still take an M3 over it -- or the original CLK Black Series, which is more extreme and visceral, so I hear -- never driven that one.

@superravmanrampage cadillac was THE standard of luxury back in the day. worldwide. don't get me wrong I'm a porsche man myself, but cadillac is definitely back on the rise and with the ATS/ATS-V coming. it's that small step forward they need, which just so happens to be a global car as well
