Actually the copyright law sates that the author of the work owns the rights to them till 5 years after their death, therefore, since Ronnie Radke wrote Situations he owns the legal rights to the song not Epitaph Records. They have no say where the song goes they only hold the rights to their own recording label. This is the reason why bands can change recording companies and still record and play live the songs that they recorded woth the other Label.
In my personal opinion, FIR is going to do sooooo much better than ETF, and since Ronnie wrote the song he has legal rights to the song alowing him to play it with FIR and even re-releasing it in another album which would be fucking awesome BTW
@deepdeep1231 As much as I'd love this to be true, unfortunately Ronnie does not own the rights to Situations nor any other song he wrote with ETF, Epitaph Records do. So there would probably be a huge legal battle for him to get the rights to that song if he wanted it. :/
Its because ronnie radke wrote almost all the old etf songs. He has legal rights to them. Why do you think etf owed ronnie a shit load of money when he got out if jail?
@Mytherin22 You mean everyone trips when Craig sing's Old ETF song's that Ronnie wrote and everyone don't trip when Ronnie new band sing the old song's. He was part of ETF so them songs are his to Craig has no right to them he is not part of ETF in my mind Ronnie owns all of that shit.

@NixonTragedy holy shit ur being a bitch. bands cover songs all the damn time noone cares if he didn't give credit ronnie sings it better anyways since he played this before craig had anything to do with ETF. Sueing over someone performing a cover is the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard.
@NixonTragedy actually, you can play whatever you want in a concert, thats why Sebastian Bach can play Youth Gone Wild and Ozzy Osbourne can still play Paranoid....
@Alcarazboy11 Ronnie has been out of jail for a few months. They still keep an eye on him. If someone gets out of prison then gets in trouble for any type of law breaking, It's right back to jail. It wouldn't matter what he does, He already fucked up once.

@EpsilonX That is distribution. They performed a song and made money off of it. That's music distribution. It's just on the FIR album but doing it live still counts.
seriously. can't everyone shut up and enjoy the song? if i is stolen, and Escape the Fate wants to sue, that's their business... not yours. so drop it and shut up. Enjoy the song.
@Ferisious ETF owns the copyright. Craig wrote songs with blessthefall. They are property of BTF, Not Craig. The band gets the copyright. Not the label. Not the singer.
@ThePeterson21 Max wrote it. Escape the Fate owns the copyright. NOWHERE on any legal document does it say Ronnie owns the song. Any other song Ronnie MIGHT be able to get away with. THIS one song was not written by him however. Max has stated way back when Ronnie was in the band that HE wrote it. Did Ronnie say he was doing a cover and give credit to the owner of the song? NO. It's stolen.
@NixonTragedy damn he did!?!?! i didn't know that.. but i have nothing against none of the bands..(i love falling in reverse more :3) XD anyways.. oh well haha
@SiMuSiCvidmania I don't have anything against FIR or ETF. I'm just letting everyone know because when ETF sue FIR Ronnie will be in trouble all over again and all the fans will be upset.
I don't even know if it should be considered a cover since its like saying he's gonna cover a song he wrote the lyrics for, which doesn't sound right in my head xD.
@NixonTragedy Stfu no one cares you're just a stuck up queer with nothing better to do than to have pointless arguments. The point of this video is to listen and enjoy Ronnie singing a song that he hasn't sang in years that made him and ETF famous. Only fags like you care about if its "stolen" or not.
@westpop107 That's only because you don't know what stolen means apparently. I don't care for FIR. Or ETF. I grew out of this hipster scene kid music. I'm just being nice and letting all you kids know. ETF will sue FIR and Ronnie will go right back to jail. I'm not hating. I'm stating a simple fact so you all know why it is when Ronnie goes back.
@westpop107 bitch just got owned (NixonTragedy). I had an arguement with this troll on a ronnie vs. craig screams video lmao all he does is put down Ronnie on all his vids. the dude must have no life
Its not a cover Ronie does own the rights too thsi song royalities and all he still gets paid from sales from dying is your latest fashion and he is partial owner people need to chill out its not a cover and its not stolen its his song
@NixonTragedy also whether he wrote it or not, HE IS one of the original artists. Doesnt matter if the copyrights belong to ETF. If legal action was takin it doesnt matter, he was part of the band when the song was written.
@NixonTragedy do you see ETF giving credit to Ronnie when they play the songs he wrote lyrics to?? No, so your statement is invalid. He wrote part of the song so its partially his.
Wether it's a cover or not the song might as well be ronnies I mean I heard ETF do it without Ronnie and they failed so badly the song might as well be his
The song itself doesnt belong to ronnie. It takes a whole band to write an entire song. The guitar parts and drums arent his, but its not illegal to play covers. Ever hear of cover bands??
@CrAD7861 It's not a cover unless you give credit to the original artist. I don't see Ronnie giving credit to ETF for writing the guitar parts and drums that AREN'T HIS. Do you? Now shut up. It's stolen.
@NixonTragedy Dude, chill. I don't think Ronnie needs to give credit. When he sings that almost everyone knows it's from back when he was in ETF. I mean most of FIR fans are/were ETF fans. So everyone knows it's a "cover" song, even without saying it. Not stolen. I mean it's stealing *if* he said it was his song. And IDK who actually wrote the lyrics, but if he did then that's all he can actually take credit for. Also for everyone else stop wasting your time (like myself) arguing on the internet

@NixonTragedy Coincidentally there is NOTHING illegal about Ronnie playing Situations live. You have absolutely no knowledge of the legalities of playing songs live. All they have to do is pay a royalty to the band, if that. He was the original recording artist to it, so he might not even have to do that. Shut up if you don't know what you're talking about.
@shanexdrums My brother's band did a cover of a VERY popular song for a gig. They had to give credit or they could've been sued. Shut up since YOU don't know anything about music law. Ronnie stole.
@NixonTragedy You are so oblivious. Haha. I think it's time for everyone to stop listening to Nixon Tragedy, he doesn't know what he's talking about, and is just trolling large amounts of people with inaccurate information. On a side note, I go to law school, so I do believe i know a little bit more about it than you, and your 'brother's band' that was going to get sued for doing a cover.
@shanexdrums Going to law school has nothing to do with music law. Criminal law has nothing to do with music law. You really know nothing about what you're talking about. What you're saying is, I could go onstage and perform any song by FIR and not give Ronnie any credit as the artist then just claim it's a cover LATER? Cuz that's what he did to ETF and you're saying it's okay so I'm going to do that. I'm going to do their songs live then claim it's a cover only if I get in trouble :)
@NixonTragedy when you go to law school you dont just study criminal law dumbass, you study law in general. and live covers arent illegal. even if they were, ronnie helped write the song so he has rights to it, and even further epitaph has rights to it since it was released on their label, and im sure they gave ronnie the okay to do it
@theavenger32 Live covers are illegal if you don't give the original artist credit. If you give credit to the artist it's legal. Anyone could perform any song by any artist without giving credit then later say "Oh it was just a cover" You have to say it is first or you're stealing. It doesn't matter. The label doesn't own the songs. The entire album was copyright to ETF. Not Ronnie. Not the label. Anyone in ETF owns the songs. Ronnie isn't in ETF. He didn't give credit. It's stolen. That's law.
LOL, he doesn't even need to sing the song! The crowd does it for him! :) absolutely amazing

seriously. can't everyone shut up and enjoy the song? if i is stolen, and Escape the Fate wants to sue, that's their business... not yours. so drop it and shut up. Enjoy the song.

If Ronnie has copyright of this song, which I'm sure he does he wrote it, he can sing it whenever the hell he wants.
Ferisious 5 months ago
@Ferisious ETF owns the copyright. Craig wrote songs with blessthefall. They are property of BTF, Not Craig. The band gets the copyright. Not the label. Not the singer.

i heard ESCAPE THE FATE made a cover of this...

im pretty sure if Ronnie wasnt allowed to play that song, the tour manager wouldve stopped them

its his song not ETF
ThePeterson21 5 months ago
@ThePeterson21 Max wrote it. Escape the Fate owns the copyright. NOWHERE on any legal document does it say Ronnie owns the song. Any other song Ronnie MIGHT be able to get away with. THIS one song was not written by him however. Max has stated way back when Ronnie was in the band that HE wrote it. Did Ronnie say he was doing a cover and give credit to the owner of the song? NO. It's stolen.
NixonTragedy 5 months ago
well, he did write it.. not gonna argue lol i fucking love him <3

@NixonTragedy damn he did!?!?! i didn't know that.. but i have nothing against none of the bands..(i love falling in reverse more :3) XD anyways.. oh well haha
SiMuSiCvidmania 4 months ago
@SiMuSiCvidmania I don't have anything against FIR or ETF. I'm just letting everyone know because when ETF sue FIR Ronnie will be in trouble all over again and all the fans will be upset.
NixonTragedy 4 months ago
I don't even know if it should be considered a cover since its like saying he's gonna cover a song he wrote the lyrics for, which doesn't sound right in my head xD.

TheFucklens 5 months ago
@NixonTragedy Stfu no one cares you're just a stuck up queer with nothing better to do than to have pointless arguments. The point of this video is to listen and enjoy Ronnie singing a song that he hasn't sang in years that made him and ETF famous. Only fags like you care about if its "stolen" or not.
westpop107 5 months ago 15
@westpop107 That's only because you don't know what stolen means apparently. I don't care for FIR. Or ETF. I grew out of this hipster scene kid music. I'm just being nice and letting all you kids know. ETF will sue FIR and Ronnie will go right back to jail. I'm not hating. I'm stating a simple fact so you all know why it is when Ronnie goes back.
NixonTragedy 4 months ago
@westpop107 bitch just got owned (NixonTragedy). I had an arguement with this troll on a ronnie vs. craig screams video lmao all he does is put down Ronnie on all his vids. the dude must have no life
tylerjaydavis 4 months ago
Its not a cover Ronie does own the rights too thsi song royalities and all he still gets paid from sales from dying is your latest fashion and he is partial owner people need to chill out its not a cover and its not stolen its his song
ironmaiden530 5 months ago
@NixonTragedy also whether he wrote it or not, HE IS one of the original artists. Doesnt matter if the copyrights belong to ETF. If legal action was takin it doesnt matter, he was part of the band when the song was written.

@Shadygrl same here !
iloveconverseifly 5 months ago
@NixonTragedy do you see ETF giving credit to Ronnie when they play the songs he wrote lyrics to?? No, so your statement is invalid. He wrote part of the song so its partially his.
CrAD7861 5 months ago
Wether it's a cover or not the song might as well be ronnies I mean I heard ETF do it without Ronnie and they failed so badly the song might as well be his

you people are all gay. who cares. he's singing situations. sing along fuckheads.
rep415ca 5 months ago
The song itself doesnt belong to ronnie. It takes a whole band to write an entire song. The guitar parts and drums arent his, but its not illegal to play covers. Ever hear of cover bands??
CrAD7861 5 months ago
@CrAD7861 It's not a cover unless you give credit to the original artist. I don't see Ronnie giving credit to ETF for writing the guitar parts and drums that AREN'T HIS. Do you? Now shut up. It's stolen.
NixonTragedy 5 months ago

Shut up if you don't know what you're talking about.
shanexdrums 5 months ago
@shanexdrums My brother's band did a cover of a VERY popular song for a gig. They had to give credit or they could've been sued. Shut up since YOU don't know anything about music law. Ronnie stole.
NixonTragedy 5 months ago
@NixonTragedy You are so oblivious. Haha. I think it's time for everyone to stop listening to Nixon Tragedy, he doesn't know what he's talking about, and is just trolling large amounts of people with inaccurate information. On a side note, I go to law school, so I do believe i know a little bit more about it than you, and your 'brother's band' that was going to get sued for doing a cover.
shanexdrums 5 months ago
@shanexdrums Going to law school has nothing to do with music law. Criminal law has nothing to do with music law. You really know nothing about what you're talking about. What you're saying is, I could go onstage and perform any song by FIR and not give Ronnie any credit as the artist then just claim it's a cover LATER? Cuz that's what he did to ETF and you're saying it's okay so I'm going to do that. I'm going to do their songs live then claim it's a cover only if I get in trouble :)
NixonTragedy 5 months ago
@NixonTragedy when you go to law school you dont just study criminal law dumbass, you study law in general. and live covers arent illegal. even if they were, ronnie helped write the song so he has rights to it, and even further epitaph has rights to it since it was released on their label, and im sure they gave ronnie the okay to do it
theavenger32 5 months ago
@theavenger32 Live covers are illegal if you don't give the original artist credit. If you give credit to the artist it's legal. Anyone could perform any song by any artist without giving credit then later say "Oh it was just a cover" You have to say it is first or you're stealing. It doesn't matter. The label doesn't own the songs. The entire album was copyright to ETF. Not Ronnie. Not the label. Anyone in ETF owns the songs. Ronnie isn't in ETF. He didn't give credit. It's stolen. That's law.
